The salon is always full of life and busy whenever I stop in for an appointment. I love this salon so much that I had my bridal updo and bridesmaids hair styled here the morning of my wedding. Carlia did a wonderful job with my hair and all the bridesmaids looked stunning with their hair too. Selena and Shela are skilled with beautiful and modern hairdos. I'm sure the other stylists are equally talented, although I haven't had the pleasure of having an appointment with others yet. The salon is located in the Norwin shopping plaza so there is always ample parking. The prices are competitive with other local salons in the area. They also sell a variety of Paul Mitchell products. I asked for a few of the other stylists and the receptionist informed me that none of them were taking new clients. The only option she gave me was a stylist who always seems to have a really bad attitude. She always had a lot of open appointments, which I take as a bad sign, and she had done a poor job on my haircut once in the past. I asked for a Saturday appointment because I work in Pittsburgh and get home late in the evenings. The receptionist continued to insist I come in after work during the week and ended up giving me one of the last appointments of the night. I figured I would give the stylist another chance. Unsurprisingly, the stylist was in a really bad mood, acted very impolitely, and did a terrible job with my hair. It's a shame because I really enjoyed going here and there are several amazing stylists at the salon, they just do not take any new clients.

She is easy to book appointments with and has a nice variety of availability. The salon itself is bright and nicely set up. There are two nail techs and several stations for stylists. They have two shampoo sinks (where you can also get waxing done) and two dryers. Shelby has done cuts, colors and full highlights for me and also done cuts for my kids. What I like is that she is honest about what will and won't work with colors and styles. If she thinks something won't last or that you won't be happy, she will tell you and suggest alternatives that might work better. She works efficiently but you never feel rushed and her prices are very affordable. I always look and feel amazing after a visit to Shelby. Highly recommend her!
