I took a chance in hiring her because she was not one of the caterers the church had recommended to me. (They hadn't previously had any experience with her.) Well, she did NOT disappoint! She might be young, but she cooks like an old soul food veteran! Everything on the custom menu that we selected was cooked to perfection and delivered on time to the church. When we returned from the cemetery, the church staff was ready to serve the awaiting guests within minutes. We received many favorable comments on the food. I hope she left some cards with the church, because I'm sure other folks will want to hire her. I highly recommend her and would definitely work with her in the future.

Chef Tawanda aka " The Flavored Chef", delivered a great meal, reasonably priced and delicious. Has a modern day look and feel. Our server, Taylor, was awesome. She was so kind and thoughtful and made the dining experience very pleasant. Now onto the food. Started with a shrimp cocktail. The shrimp were a perfect size and the presentation was unique. I had the Ribeye, Oscar Style, and added on a Crab Cake and my friend had the Salmon, Oscar Style, and to say we were impressed is an understatement. Everything was perfectly cooked and every bite was delicious. I really wish I had pictures but I will be going back very soon and will take some pictures. Do yourself a favor and give this place a shot. You won't regret it.

Cannot say enough how happy I am that we chose Pam and the Twisted-Fork team for our wedding! Long…read morereview incoming because I'm that much of a fan... I talked to a lot of caterers, but knew The Twisted-Fork was the right fit for us when Pam told me that with menu creativity, even a smaller budget can feel like much more - think I fell in love. It is SO rare in wedding planning to feel like someone genuinely has your best interest at heart, but that is exactly how I'd describe Pam and the Twisted-Fork team - genuine. We wanted an "elevated" cocktail-style wedding (~100 guests) instead of a traditional seated dinner/reception, which in my opinion makes good food and drinks that much more important to guests' experience - cue stress! But Pam made coordinating both catering and bartending such a breeze that it quickly became the thing I'd tell my now-husband "not even worried about that, Pam's got it covered". And she did - her team met, and exceeded, every expectation I had day-of (and I admittedly had a lot of them): Amazing, quality food that was displayed beautifully, a team that pitched in on extras without question and were so lovely to everyone, on-point bartenders that probably made at least 200 espresso martinis (sorry to their arms), and a perfectly clean kitchen afterwards! People have raved about the food and overall experience to me (shrimp cakes with lemon aioli, rhubarb bruschetta, and mini roast beef sliders were the top hits for our crew). We had 1. Bartenders that made guests come up to me and say "they see me coming and start making my drink for me" 2. A menu and flavors that felt unique and yet balanced and thoughtful to our specific event style/goals. I mean, really, what more could you ask for?? Even our other vendors would say "oh, you won't be disappointed" when they'd hear Pam was our caterer. If you're on the fence about catering for your event - absolutely recommend reaching out to the Twisted-Fork. Future you, and your guests, will thank you!! Thank you x a million, Pam!

We just finished celebrating Easter brunch/Dinner today on a Saturday. We are first timers with…read moreTraditions, but I must say our family was extremely impressed from start to finish! We ordered takeaway Easter brunch that needed to be pre-heated before serving. We had a choice of shrimp and grits or salmon but since we had a larger order we were able to do half and half and have the best of both worlds. Ordering and paying ahead before the deadline online was simple! If you have questions prior to ordering just call. We had certain requests and were informed over the phone it was feasible but to type it in under the special instructions box when ordering. Everything was delivered as ordered and promised! No issues at all! Once we arrived we just called and the gentleman came out promptly to our car with a cart and our Easter brunch neatly and carefully packaged in sturdy brown handled paper bags. The kind gentleman showed us the reheating instructions and explained to us briefly the timing. He took care to inform us which bag to keep horizontal so it would not spill. It was stapled shut and handed to us in the horizontal position as well. Hence to avoid confusion and prevent disastrous spillage. This was greatly appreciated! The food was neatly and carefully packaged with each aluminum sturdy container marked with its contents. Once again very smart and greatly appreciated! We just had to pop in the entire container in the oven. No fuss, no muss. Most items ranged from 10-12 minutes to re-heat some 15-20 minutes. The quality and quantity of food did not disappoint!! Pricing is definitely not cheap but the amount and quality of food is without a doubt worth every penny!! Even better was that none of us had to cook! Win win!! EVERYTHING was delicious! But the real stars were the grand marnier bread pudding, which not everyone can get bread pudding right, but this was heaven on earth for sure! The salmon was cooked perfectly. It was flavorful and a good size. The shrimp and andouille sausage shrimp and grits were hearty and delightful! Crab cakes with aioli.. slap me happy with seafood -very good! The food list goes on and on.. and I'm not complaining! The mushroom quiche with goat cheese was another big hit along with the breakfast foods of honey baked ham with pineapples and pecan and applewood bacon. We are soo full we haven't even tried the coconut pie! Thank you,Traditions, for helping to make our Easter a pleasant one with our bellies full and content. Feeling very blessed! Thank you, Jesus, and Amen!! P.S. Thank you Shawn Hoffman for calling us back to answer our questions!

My family hired Traditions to cater their business's company Christmas party at Chesapeake Golf…read moreClub that was last week. Everything was beautifully decorated. There were Christmas trees, Christmas lights strung, and the tables were gorgeous with green and red linens and white chinaware. Along the wall was a beautiful display of hors d'oeuves like artichoke and spinach dip with crackers and pita points, cheese, and fruit. The dip was delicious! They had coffee, lemonade, tea for drink. The servers gave out the salad. It was lovely display of greens with cucumber and tomato. On the table were the boats of ranch or Italian vinaigrette. This also was delicious. On the far back wall was where they had the buffet style dinner. They had roasted potatoes, rice pilaf, and asparagus for the sides. The potatoes and asparagus were perfectly seasoned and cooked. I didn't feel the same for the rice. It was completely tasteless and left me disappointed. The main entrees were roasted sirloin with horseradish sauce and a pepper crusted salmon with mango cilantro. The sirloin was not really hot and also not seasoned well enough. The sauce was delicious though. The salmon was picturesque. It looked like it was out of a cooking magazine, and I wanted to love this so much buuuut my salmon was just a tad undercooked. I want to make this clear: everyone I talked to enjoyed their meal. I had someone tell me their salmon was over cooked. I had another loved their roast. And another dislike it as much as I did. There was a complete mix of opinion when it came to their food. Maybe it was just the menu selection that was chosen. Anyway, this place was great! I'd definitely come back again. The servers were great, the decor was lovely. Come check them out!

This was the worst experience I have ever had with any contractor and it was on the most important…read moreday ( My only daughter's wedding ) We hired the owner to provide the catering, wedding planning, decorating and Day Of ceremony coordinating a year in advance. She was unresponsive to emails and calls, missed appointments and did not follow through with anything promised. None of the food was as presented or described and was extremely disappointing. She showed up 2 and 1/2 hours late on the day of the wedding without even a phone call, and our calls went right to voicemail that was full. The entire day was rushed because of her tardiness and unpreparedness. The wedding party that should have been inside with hair and make up were outside decorating because we did not know whether or not she was even going to be there. The bartenders were not set up or prepared because they had to help cook, wedding guests were helping themselves prior to the wedding as the bar was unattended. The timeline of events was all off including the bridal party entrance to music selected. Our "Wedding Coordinator" was no where to be found during the cake cutting, toasts, first dance, or fireworks send off as she had essentially "checked out immediately after the ceremony. She was supposed to come back the next day to assist in taking down the lights and decorations that were put up but the groom and family had to do that as well as she showed up by herself with no help after the time we were already supposed to have vacated the venue. Of course she had required that we pay her in full prior to the event and we are now sorry that we ever hired this business.
