From the first time we met her, she's been nothing but patient and loving with my children. She genuinely cares about you and your family and creates amazing heirloom quality works of art. Sometimes, kids don't cooperate and she knows how to get them involved and interested, never rushes and the result has been amazing every single time! I'm very self conscious about myself, but I wanted my children to have some pictures with mommy too. Shannon guided me through wardrobe choices, made lots of useful suggestions, helped pose this chubby girl in the best way possible and the photos were a knockout. I was so extremely happy. What I also love about Shannon's work is versatility. This girl is amazing at everything: from working with families to creating one of a kind jaw dropping artsy pieces. Jessica Heuar is an extraordinary photographer…read more She captured photos of my 7 grandkids and me, ages 3 to 12 and everything in between. The photos feel natural and not posed at all, because she magically led the kids into being their sweet selves. I'm a photographer myself, and I take lots of photos of my grans. But besides selfies with them, I can't really capture the natural, real interaction between myself and these grans I adore. Jessica made it happen, outside among zinnias with a windmill in the background. Now I have the photos on my Aura frame, and I smile every day as each one rotates through. Some photos were of all of us together. Others were of the cousins, who only see each other every two years, and she captured the connection they have with each other. A grandmother's dream come true. These kids, especially the boys, were super active and inattentive, but Jessica got them to be their natural selves without forcing it. I highly recommend Jessica to anyone who wants natural photos.

She was very organized and knew ahead of time where and what type of poses to shoot. She tried very hard to get a good grasp of what we wanted by having me fill out a survey and sharing ideas with her beforehand. Her personality is super easy going and she has a very calm demeanor-which helped us feel at ease since we had an energetic 2 year old who wanted to explore the great outdoors... and me, who was 8 months pregnant. Once the pictures came back after a week or so we fell even more in love with her work. She provided just enough options making it easy to choose which ones were our favorites. Soon afterwards, we hired her again for our newborn pics of our daughter. It was very special. She came to my house and spent about 2 hours capturing her beauty. Being an experienced mom, she knew exactly what to do and how to do it. I felt very comfortable with her. We can't be more happy with the memories she captured for our family and would like to say a big, THANK YOU! Look forward to working with you again in the near future. Ps. She put everyone at ease, made it fun, and somehow coaxed genuine smiles out of my overtired little ones (and my husband!). She took the stress off of me completely, which is no small feat. Her background as a teacher really shines through; she knows how to read the room, connect with kids (and parents), and curate the perfect experience.
