Over the past 15 years I've had the privilege of working closely with their team and witnessing the high standard of care they provide to their residents. What impresses me most is their consistent professionalism and attention to detail. The staff is always responsive, organized, and proactive when it comes to handling insurance-related matters--making the process smooth not just for vendors like myself, but most importantly, for the residents and their families. Beyond the administrative side, it's clear that the environment at Park Regency retirement, is one built on compassion and respect. Every time I'm on-site, I see smiling faces, meaningful interactions, and a real sense of community. It's obvious that the residents are well cared for--not just physically, but emotionally and socially as well. They're a fantastic partner and an even better resource for families seeking quality assisted-living options.

A big part of it was the marketer who was not only helpful and communicative, but also enthusiastic about the building and the care staff. She helped them navigate various aspects of relocating our loved one, the pros and cons of different senior living communities and really highlighted the quality care provided by her staff. What ultimately sold us on this community was the memory care. We decided that it would be best to choose a community that had assisted living and memory care in one building so, if the time ever came, it would be a smoother transition should that level of care be needed. Although the building is a bit older, it is well taken care of and has a beautiful courtyard for residents and families to enjoy. I highly recommend taking a tour if you're considering assisted living homes for your loved one!

I am beyond furious with the Regency Grand at West Covina…read more My mother-in-law lived there for 15 years. Fifteen years. She and my father-in-law spent six of those years together in the same assisted living apartment. The staff and management knew them well. We believed she was part of a community. We trusted that she was cared for. After my father-in-law passed in 2017, everything changed. With new ownership and management came a noticeable decline -- fewer gatherings, fewer thoughtful touches, and a clear shift away from the residents who had built that community. The warmth disappeared. The effort disappeared. The food declined significantly. We dined with her often and eventually began taking her out because meals there were so poor. Over the past year, she lost 35-40 pounds. She was not able to tell us about the food because she had a stroke many years before and could not speak. We later learned she wasn't eating -- and no one alerted us. No one noticed. Or if they did, they failed to act. That is inexcusable. After 15 years in the same apartment, her unit was never properly updated. The carpet was filthy. The bathroom cabinetry was falling apart. The space looked worn down and neglected. For two years, we were repeatedly told renovations were coming. They never happened. Then, after Christmas, she became ill and passed away 20 days later. She spent her final three days on hospice in the very place she had called home for a decade and a half. In those last days, only three staff or management members came to see her. Three. After 15 years. We did hear one staff member comment that she was sad she would no longer get clothes from my MIL (who was always very generous). After her passing, there was no card from the Regency management. No condolences. No acknowledgment to my husband, who had just lost his mother. They once posted notices honoring residents who passed. This time -- nothing. We did everything we could to give her a life filled with dignity and love. We trusted Regency to do the same within their walls. They did not. This is more than disappointment. It is heartbreak -- and a profound sense of betrayal.

She's a wonderful, independent, intelligent and bright woman with all her faculties and wits still about her. She's almost 95! Grandma is picky and only likes certain foods and has a bit of OCD when it comes to the way things should be and with cleanliness. Heck, she's done her own thing for over 45 years, do you blame her! She's got every right to do it her way. A few months ago, she had a little health set-back and to just keep things safe while family was out of town for a long length of time, my parents decided to have her stay here for "just a month or two" to be watched over while they were out of town. I don't think she was there more than just a day when she announced that she loved it at the Villa and wanted to make it permanent! What!!?? That was awesome news!!! We wouldn't have to worry about her being home alone ever again. Since that first proclamation of love, she has rarely made any comments as to being unhappy with her new permanent living arrangement. She loves the food, loves the views and is perfectly content with every aspect. We wish she'd go play Bingo or Yahtzee with the others, but she's her own woman and used to spending her days doing what she wants. It took her a bit of adjusting to consider it a forever place, but she did just fine and has made it her home... both physically and mentally. They keep her room cleaned, any complaints are addressed and meals have been more than adequate for her and her picky tastes and likes. She's thrilled! There are several floors of residents all in different states of mind, body and life. The hallways are clear and clean. The staff is always tending to the Villa; cleaning, checking on residents and keeping things tip top. The front desk staff have always greeted me and my family with a smile and even remember who we are there to see. They even know her likes and dislikes too. Grandma loves her digs and I haven't seen her this happy (consistently) in a long time. She's back to being a happy lady again and enjoying her golden years in a peaceful, clean and enjoyable home. Thank you to La Habra Villa for all you do!!

During his…read morestay here, Monica, the woman who runs day-to-day operations, abused my father and my family's rights. I have filed for an investigation to be underway with community care licensing so that others won't ever have to be under her care ever again. My father was denied hospice care simply because Monica decided she would rather have him under her own choosing of a home health care facility. I had to step in because I felt that the things I was seeing Monica doing or denying my father of was off. Once I stepped in, my father was immediately able to be placed on hospice care. He passed away only after a few days of being on hospice. It was unfortunate what my father and my family had to go through during his stay at Bok Senior Hotel. This was only one of the many strange and unexplainably unethical things that Monica did during our short stay there. It terrifies me to know that so many people are under her direct care and supervision. It breaks my heart to think that so many other unsuspecting patients are being silently abused at this facility. The supportive staff were sweet and gentle with my father. However I did see that their level of care provided was always controlled by Monica and it was dependent on what her orders were that my father would receive or not receive certain care.
