However when she is not there, like on weekends, there is nothing done to occupy the residents. Staff do not provide any interaction except the necessities of cleaning and meals. The memory care aides are caring but many lack the education to properly care for and interact with residents with memory and behavior issues. If a resident has behavior issues related to dementia, management's first request is chemically restrain with medications. This building has not been renovated in a long time and the furniture in the common areas and dining room is not just old, it is falling apart and in disrepair. Cloth chairs are often soiled by residents who are incontinent and not cleaned properly. The front door is always dirty and covered with dead bugs. Pricing is high for what you get here. There is a basic price which starts high and then every part of your loved one's care has a price...dressing, toileting, bathing, medications, and so on. And you have to watch your bill carefully because they often charge for items that are not part of the care. And when you challenge the bill, they want you to pay it anyway and say they will refund you later. If you don't pay that amount, they add on a LATE CHARGE for a bill you didn't owe in the first place. read more
