I tried bronzatura for an upcoming wedding after hearing good things about this place from friends. Since it was my first time, the service was at a discounted price. It was so easy to make an appointment and they were super accommodating when I had to switch my appointment last minute. They also gave great instructions of how to prepare before coming in. When I arrived, I filled out a sheet saying what the spray tan was for, what color I preferred, and other questions like if I typically burn or if I would be going swimming. After filling that out, I met with one of the employees to pick my color. It was only a short wait after that until I was called back. The spray tan itself was super easy and quick. I liked that the bench opened up to put your things into during the spray tan. The checkout process was also fast- my total visit was easily under an hour. The color held up pretty well even though I was swimming in the ocean and the pool. I had to scrub it off after a week because it started to discolor a bit, but I would definitely come back here! read more

I was trying to decide between 4 and 5 stars and decided the amount of times I've come here should determine. I've been here 5 times already this summer. I bought the unlimited for about $75 a month- its worth it if you're going to get sprayed often. Every tan has looked realistic and natural. No streaking, no orange. My only issue is with all spray tans-they don't last that long. You're lucky if you get a full week out of them. I'm definitely getting sprayed here again and highly recommend it to anyone. read more

This was my first visit. When I called to make an appointment , the girl on the phone was very nice. She gave me a lot of info about what to do/not to do before coming to my appointment. I didn't wait long when I got there for my visit. The 2 girls at the desk were also very nice. The process was pretty quick & the girl that did my spray tan, Lexi, was clearly a pro! When I checked out to pay, the girl at the desk explained the aftercare process in detail. I am very happy with my results & would definitely recommend them & will go back again. read more

I've gotten sprayed many times when I lived in PA, but now I needed a go-to place in Jersey. I was excited when I found Bronzatura because of their first-timer special, the ability to book via email, and they seemed knowledgable. Upon arrival, I thought I was funny and ironic that everything is bright orange. Shouldn't it be the opposite? Amy greeted me and was super nice and helpful. Alexis was spraying me and led me back to the room. I should have known when they were deciding on my color, they just said "medium dark." Most places I've been to mix up a personalized color based on your skin tones for a natural look and the darkness is based on layering. Inside the room, everything is very "self-service." You put on a moisturizing mist all-over and then the barrier lotion (which their brand doesn't work that well). It was then that I found out it's NJ state law that you have to wear underwear, so hello awkward tan lines... Alexis was very good at spraying. My tan was super even, and she gave my face and extra layer since it tends to fades faster. Afterwards she said to blowdry my body for 5 minutes with a timer, which I also felt was awkward. I didn't feel dry after 5 minutes but I didn't think the hair dryer was helping either. I powdered my thighs to not stick while I was driving and left the room. Unfortunately it started raining while I was tanning... But Amy was super nice and gave me a thin plastic poncho! The customer service is definitely great here! However, now that I've waited about 12 hours and showered, the color is definitely a fake orange-bronze color that I'm not a fan of. With regular prices being $45 I think it's worth it to drive back to my old spots in PA that charge $35. read more

I went into this place with high expectations. I've gotten many spray tans before and carefully read reviews when I moved to New Jersey for a good spray tan place for events. I went here for a tan for my bachelorette/birthday party. The salon is very nice and so are the women who work there. The instructions for pre-tan were a bit different than what I was used to but it was fine. Unfortunately their lotion did not prevent my palms from getting tanned. The woman who did my tan seemed very knowledgable and meticulous, which I appreciated. However, my tan did not last! I always wait even longer than they recommend to shower so I probably wait about 12 hours instead of the recommended 8. I did not use any of the soaps or products you're not supposed to- I followed what I know to do ad what I was told to do. Unfortunately, my bra straps rubbed off the tan on my shoulders and I was a bit splotchy- which has never happened to me before. I may give it another try to see if it was a fluke. read more

This. place. sucks. My cousin and I got our spray tans here about a month ago for my sisters wedding n mine was all streaky and I had no choice but to shower it off so there was about $45 and tax literrally down the drain. My cousin's tan was ok minus the spots on her leg and the random white spot on her elbow. But what pisses me off is how they hyped everything like they knew what they're doing n wouldn't shut up about how they spray professional cheerleaders but we left looking like a box of brown and orange markers attacked us. My impression of the place was not improved by the girls cigarette smelling breath in my face either. Bottom line is... waste your money at a place who's been around for years like Hello Gorgeous or Healthy Tans or something. read more

Hit the jackpot when I found this airbrush studio! I was looking for a place to get a spray tan for an upcoming wedding when I stumbled upon Bronzatura.....what a find. The ease and availability to schedule an appointment was fantastic! Better yet was my pre-spray interview. I was given all the option and information needed to achieve optimal results and Lex my tan operator was outstanding. She was very patient answering all my questions and addressing any concerns. I just got a simple leg spray there. The girls were nice and the place was cute but........... -When I walked in they preached about skin cancer and tried all of their scare tactics. (not pleasing at all) -Pressured me into getting more than just my legs sprayed -I had to do a pre-spray by myself AND had to dry myself??? -WORST OF ALL: i turned BRIGHT orange. Love it! I have very fair skin and went for a tan for a wedding I was attending. The manager suggested the lightest color because I said I didn't want to go too dark and she said if it was too light I could come back the next day and she would go darker for me. She really cared about how I felt about the end result and made sure she gave me the best quality tan. I will definitely go back. read more

I have been going here for years, but the past 2 times I have come out splotchy. I thought the first time was a fluke and they gave me a credit for a re-do. 6 months later I came out splotchy again with missed white spots. Not very attractive while on vacation. Thier barrier cream seemed watered down and left my palms and wrists and bottom of my feet dark orange. I also looked more fake orange then in the past. I emailed the business and no reply. Although I know almost nothing about spray tans and this was my first one, my experience at Bronzatura was awesome. The lady who did my tan was very nice and she helped me find a perfect color for my skin. I got endless amounts of compliments at school and many people told me that I looked like I just was down the shore for a week and that I wasn't orange at all - they said my tan was natural looking. Recently went to Bronzatura for my sister's wedding, I took a shower after 8 hours just like the instructions said. I went three days before the wedding, I can honestly say it was the worst tan ever. I had streaks and blotches everywhere, and my knees were white. Not am I only disappointed in my tan, but my peach dress is now ORANGE. I dry cleaned it to see if it would of came out, it is still orange! I would never recommend this place. I also don't want to hear the B word when i am receiving a spray tan. Grow up and act professional! read more
