The City Of New York Department Of Health - Does anyone enforce this rule? Posted 07/05/23

The City Of New York Department Of Health

Department of Health @ 115 Street 10029…read more This is the closest location to where I currently live. I go here if I need assistance or have a concern. They have the responsibility for health inspections and much more. Their responsibility has grown even more with the pandemic. In my opinion the employees are dedicated and professional. Since the salaries are available if you take the time to research pay grades, I can tell you their salaries are not great. The workloads are enormous. This city at one time had risen to a population of 8.6 Million. Look up the numbers of restaurants, delis and other establishments that require inspection. The number is staggering. Now with COVID rules they added more things that require inspection. At the same time NYC has a horrible shortfall in the budget. Don't forget that business owners have rights too. I use my gut instinct in addition to the inspection information I review on line. All of the inspection information is on their website. Just go to the website and search using the business name and address. I'm typically correct when I sense or see something wrong when I visit a food establishment. If you read the requirements you'll know that a business isn't abiding. A violation doesn't always stop me from letting my food addiction take over. There's some food items I just can't buy anywhere else. The truth is you never know what goes on where you can't see like behind counters and in kitchens. I'm just posting this review for you to see and learn the available resources. When age creeps up on you, in addition to chronic medical conditions, it could be disastrous to eat something contaminated. Now more than ever be sure you know the rules a business needs to follow. You have to use your own judgement with a shortage of inspectors. If there's a problem contact these folks for more information.

This is review of the IDNYC enrollment service only as I have not used the health facility…read more Staff is extremely courteous patient and well behaved and well informed. The IDNYC office is room 220 and there are 4 chairs their for waiting which may not be enough but other than that the process was very smooth. Staff is very professional and well mannered unlike many Govt offices.

It's polite conversation but none the less I'm impressed by their friendly polite demeanor. Then again I'm an old white lady. I have been into the precinct building. My apartment building now collects coats each winter for those in need. Prior to that I would walk over to the 23 Precinct and leave them. I admit I was not greeted when I enter. This is not a retail business. I expect they're thinking 'what's this ones problem'! I ask where I can leave my donation and typically received a hand gesture with a verbal description of the location. I didn't see a lot of arrested people or activities like you see on TV Shows. The times I went it was clean and quiet. No one waiting to be assisted. I'm grateful I don't need to use them currently. I enjoy talking to the officers when I encounter them in public. With my big mouth they'll learn a lot about my neighborhood!

I don't recommend nobody going to the 23rd precinct if it's an emergency or anything serious …read more The service is poor . The staff Is lazy everybody. the detectives think everything is a joke . This precinct Needs to be looked into by internal affairs

It has become a scam, since they put the odds on the cards they don't have to put as many winners in the deck. Like they used to I will never play the new york state lottery again

Last time I won my largest prize was $600 and that was before covid, ever since covid I can't win anything over $250 and that's after spending 10 times that much! Unfortunately I guess it's my own fault and it's a addiction but enough is enough! If New York State comes short $50,000 which means nothing out of billions that they take in just know it's from me, I am done being raped by the state of New York via paying taxes and their gambling system which is New York State Lottery! I hope one day somebody finds that New York State Lottery Commission has been ripping people off for many years and get sued! Cuz I keep every receipt every single ticket, every single scratch off as of I was going to win millions of dollars! Shame on me for believing in the system of New York State Lottery! And anything it stands for!. They say it goes to education but meanwhile our school taxes go up and our fundings go down! Politicians putting money in their pockets!
