We purchased our tickets online in advance, and got to the site pretty easily. We got on line and read the posted rules before walking into the attraction. The attraction itself is pretty creative, with a few things I haven't seen in other haunted houses. But the quitter counter, which displayed the number of guests who quit in fear, made it seem scarier than it actually was. It was honestly a bit too dark in there to see the costumes/makeup of the actors. The majority of the scares were jump scares.

The check in process was quick, especially if you have the VIP tickets... I would suggest getting VIP tickets over general admission. This place gets packed, and I could only imagine how it will be as it gets closer to Halloween. This is THE PLACE TO VISIT to get your Halloween festivities started! I do not want to give anything away, but it is interactive; you have to crawl in the dark and do other fun things! I was literally screaming and closing my eyes throughout different parts of the haunted house! MY BOYFRIEND AND I MADE IT!!! ** Some of these negative reviews must be rivals; nobody pulled our hair or spit on us. The only downside was an airhead working where you check-in your bags. LOL.

Featuring a testament to the creativity and spirit of New Yorkers. This is a family friendly parade, but be prepared for the loud music, and noise. I have personally enjoyed the most incredible time watching the parade for many years which is a spooky jamboree, and it's an experience I can't recommend enough. Truly unlike any other parade. The vibe is fun, and electric, expect a massive crowd to be lined up along Sixth Avenue. Seeing the sheer number of people with wild, creative, and inventive costumes, from giant puppets to intricate monster makeup, was exciting. The highlight will be seeing the dedicated group of "Thriller" dancers performing the iconic moves. The energy from both the marchers and the cheering crowds on the sidelines will be fun. While it will be crowded. The police always do a great job managing the flow, and everyone was in high spirits. For anyone considering it, I highly suggest marching in costume over just watching. Being inside the parade, surrounded by music, artists, and fellow revelers, is an unforgettable feeling. This is a must-do event for anyone who loves Halloween and wants to experience a truly magical night in NYC. NYPD will have barricades in place, along the parade route on Sixth Avenue. The date and time will be Halloween night (October 31), from 7pm to 11pm How to get to the parade. Mass transportation is the best way and the following are trains that will get you to the start of the parade route; Take the C or E to Spring St.; A, B, C, D, E, F or M to West 4th St.; 1 to Houston St. or Christopher St.; or 1, 2, 3, A, C, E, F or M to 14th St, walk to Sixth Avenue and you will be along the parade route. If you wish to participate in the Halloween parade you need to be in costume, to take part. There is no registration or fee. The coolest part of the parade and one of many big highlights is the Thriller Dance, performed by a dedicated group who duplicate all the moves from the Michael Jackson "Thriller" video. I thought I'd see oodles of creative costumes and experience something special. Thought wrong. West Village Halloween Parade 2025. First of all, it's not a parade but an exercise in crowd control. The cops will make damn sure they block off any route on foot or by wheels to that Sixth Avenue path from Canal to 23rd or wherever. They're thinking of our safety. Oh yeah? What if something bad happens? Forget about escape as you're crushed with your fellow young liberal non-white fun-seekers against the steel barricades. And Jill Sobule who was killed a house fire May 1, 2025 when her friends didn't even try to save her, lived on during the night in my mind. She wrote a song about girls simply dressing slutty isn't actually a costume. Got that right. In the Village, that rule applies to everyone. Streets crowded and teeming with drunks all in the thick miasma of the stench of weed made me wake up to the fact that I wasn't there to see the Parade per se but parked near the Holland Tunnel and was walking to the Blue Note to see Robert Glasper and had to find a way to cross Sixth. Took forever. And the dingy, trashy atmosphere didn't help. Watched vids of a Michael Jackson Thriller dance routine as the pinnacle act of the parade and it was sad. Guess anything in the public eye is forgivable if you help drunks dance. Maybe I'll go next year dressed as the Ghost of Free Talking.

Everyone we encountered who worked there was so nice. Inside Fear Manor was fantastic! So spooky and fun! Lots of jump scares and unexpected things around corners. A creepy girl follows you all the way through which adds to the experience. They also have a very cool swamp effect in one of the rooms that you have to see. It's hard to even explain. You wander from room to room and every one of them is scary and great. The actors are terrific. They even respond to things you say and always stay in character. We didn't have to wait in line very long but even that was enjoyable because there is a creepy DJ playing great music that really sets the mood. An actor even showed up there on a gurney just staring at us while we waited. It was great. All in all we had a wonderful time and will definitely do it again before they close!

The Women checking people into the meet and greet were so nice and so was security. My only complaint is they didn't allow us to give gifts we got the artist to her personally. I understand checking it to make sure it is safe but to not allow us to give it at all made no sense. I had to show the artist what i made her on my phone. Meeting the artist was awesome and security made sure no one skipped the line. When I finished meeting the artist, i went to the bathroom which was on the first floor and show is on the second. I was able to get a good look at the venue, it is small but very beautiful and clean. Very modern and the bars are really nice with cool lighting. I purchased my merch after the bathroom then went back up to where the stage was. Decided to get a snack and drink at the bar before general admission came in. I paid $19 for a box of popcorn and a cup of soda. The guy did say the soda refills will be free but i couldn't get back to the bar after that because i was all the way up front during the show and didn't want to risk losing my spot going to the back where the bar was. During the show someone passed out near me and the staff got to her quick and got her out and gave her water. It was very efficient and organized. Overall safety is definitely a priority here and def cleanliness too. I also want to add that i was able to bring in a mini fan and my asthma pump with no problem inside my clear bag. I made sure the asthma pump was in the box where it was prescribed to me just in case, just an fyi for anyone worried about that type of medication. I heard they are strict about medications but definitely not with asthma pumps.

Because of the audio guide & the powerful narrative i felt up close & personal with the holocaust history. The center is very organised, the staff friendly and welcoming. I suggest having more signage bec the timed-ticketholders were lining up as well. Another visitor was kind enough to direct them inside. A sign about free access was set up but around 2:15p, then an employee went along the line and instructed us to get timed tickets via a QR code. Only 1person needs to be on the line to obtain tickets; up to 4 pp. Some visitors were allowed to sit inside if unable to stand for long periods. We entered in batches by ticket-time. The exhibit is on the 2nd Fl, along a path, which was winding and narrow at times. Got a handheld device for the self-guided audio tour - hover near numbered/" i " buttons and hear info about that area. It did get crowded since visitors were standing around to finish the audio and see photos/videos/items. This exhibit is so informative and emotive so I took my time, anyway can go through at own pace. For me, 1 1/2 hours. No photography allowed. Elevator and Restrooms available. 14th St subway station stops - F/M on 6th ave, Union Square.

This was in August. Buy this time many, many events were sold out. So I got sucked into buying the 4 day package. I guess that was stupid. It was over $1000 (add to the hotel/air). Night one was the women's night. Two, the b'day party. Three, burger night & four BBQ. These were all rooftop parties which were simply a mad house. All those volunteers! What a good job they did of politely corralling hundreds of people. But then the hordes were turned loose. Rude crowds is one complaint. Rude celebs is another. It's a double whammy. Where were the photos taken showing attendees with their fav chef? Certainly not where we were. We barely got a *glimpse* of Bobby, Ina, Giada, & Alex when they were on stage for 30 seconds. The only person we saw not under guard was Casey Webb ( I just looked him up. Who knows his name?!) Burger challenge night had GZ, Zimmern, Neil P. Harris & his hub as judges. They were roped off by about 20' with guards. Seriously. On top of that they didn't even look at the crowd -- not a smile, a wave. GZ grimaced. Funny, I actually liked these people before this. I "heard" Bobby/Ina signed books one night. Opposite each other in the same section of the roof. Well, guess what? That caused one major cluster -------! You ***could not*** get through the crowd. I "heard" Giada was in the mix for a time on top of that. All I wanted was to get to some wine. Which brings up another point of serious contention: wines were only available at the far end (BACK) of the pier. So I, the wine drinker, had to make the hike and fight the crowds to get what turned out to be a very expensive sip, considering what I spent to be there. (And I never talk about costs. Money's never in my forethoughts. That's how disappointed I am) So, my non drinker husband was kind enough to pretend to drink so I'd at least get two at a time while the crowds were swilling beer after beer and whiskey. But, oh it got worse. The charity wine purveyor refused to serve Chardonnay!! the last two nights. Of course that's what I drink. I don't have pix because of full hands and crowds. The lines were ridiculous, food scarce. Burger night was the best but started badly. We were in line for a taste of Cinton Hall when shoving and line cutting started. I asked someone what the hell was going on. Apparently Rachael Ray was spotted at the front of the line! People are crazy! They served 1/2 burgers & I scored a whole Shake Shack special burger. Yum. Hubby voted w/ the crowd for Cinton Hall. Another incident. I stepped up to a booth serving sunchokes. The server was asking me if I'd had them before, etc. when the "chef" working behind her looked up & I said, "I know you." I don't know if she'd been a contender on Top Chef or what but I recognized her. With no response I asked, "What's your name?" She just batted her false eyelashes at me and mewed, "Tara. . . " Fine, be coy. I just walked away. I just couldn't understand how all these people could have paid what I paid. BBQ night we sat down with a mother of two. Somehow it came out that her tkts had been comped by a chef she knew. Figures.
