Hangin with the ghouls. 3

This was so fun! I went last night with friends and can't wait to return! Every year just gets better and more exciting. I think this is NYC's best haunted house and it's open all Halloween season!

It's a fun thing to do if you get there early enough to not wait in the ridiculous lines. I went here this past year at the 6pm slot and it was really fun. Each room was filled with actors and actresses and props that you would expect in an adult version of a haunted house. The actual walk through the manor is pretty short and there gets to be a point where the jump scares no longer do it for you. Coolest part of this experience is the 3d portion which makes you feel like you are in an interactive exhibit. Overall a fun thing to do in the Halloween season and tickets are about $40 a person. Be sure to get on the lines early -- even though you have a time slot, the wait times can get to be insane.

Hands down the scariest haunted house I've ever been to. I went to their preview this week and was horrified in the best way possible. The venue is huge with so many twists and turns and I screamed more than I've ever screamed before. I now understand why this place sells t-shirts that say "I Pissed My Pants at BloodManor." Highly recommend this to horror fans and but it's not for the faint of heart.

So much fun! This was one of the best haunted houses we've ever been to! The staff was very professional and accommodating, with a security presence outside keeping things orderly and moving along safely. The characters, costumes, and decor were amazing! Very professional, with all the role players staying in character throughout the event, which lasted about 20 minutes. Before and after they even took time to pose for a couple pictures. In spite of attending on Halloween weekend, the line was very manageable and about what one would expect. The spooky characters lurking around out front also kept everyone entertained as we waited to enter. A very good time for whole family! Thanks.

Hands down the best haunted house in NYC / NYC area. Came on a weekday and the house was FULL of actors unlike other houses i've visited. From outside to inside you will be scareeed. When I say the actors were committed they were COMMITTED. Left shaking in the best way possible!!

After having the pants scared off me i had to get a picture!

I'm not a fan of being scared! This was an event that took me out of my comfort zone and i loved it. The performers are considerate they do not touch you unless you are headed in the wrong direction. The make-up an special effect were top of the line! Put this on your Halloween bucket list. Definitely great for a date night or family fun!

First of all, full disclosure, we bought the RIP ticket ahead of time. We knew the lines would be long and didn't feel like waiting in them. For us, this option was definitely worth it. As for the haunt itself? Pretty damn good. It's divided into two sections. The first is dark and grimy, with lots of gore and violent scenes. Some good jump scares. The actors were great, lots of good interaction and intensity without ever crossing the line. There was one very, very dark room with hidden actors whispering that spooked me out. Not the scariest haunt I've ever experienced, but tons of fun. The second section is the 3D/neon section and this was spectacular. Visually awesome (almost to the point of overload) with so much to look at, so many good scares, so much misdirection. Actors were hiding here in so many unexpected places because they blended in so well. This was just pure joy for me. Also, the staff outside was incredibly friendly and helpful. All 3 of us had a great time. The whole experience took about 20-25 minutes. I'd definitely come back. Set up your expectations properly and I think you'll have fun too.

Waste of money! Nothing scary or any suspense. Just a bunch of neon colors and giggly workers. So disappointed

About how long is the whole experience?

About 15 minutes

What COVID precautions are they taking?

They put in new air filtration system. There's only a limited number of people on each floor including employees at one time. All the actors are in masks. The lines are set up differently then last year. The rooms were made bigger, so the actors… Read more

Do they accept goldstar tickets?

Yes

Is it crowded after Halloween?

Blood manor might be closed already. There is a chance it is open the first weekend after Halloween but I don't know for sure. However, on Valentine's weekend they do open for a my bloody valentine haunt. So keep an eye open for that.

We purchased our tickets online in advance, and got to the site pretty easily. We got on line and read the posted rules before walking into the attraction. The attraction itself is pretty creative, with a few things I haven't seen in other haunted houses. But the quitter counter, which displayed the number of guests who quit in fear, made it seem scarier than it actually was. It was honestly a bit too dark in there to see the costumes/makeup of the actors. The majority of the scares were jump scares.

I have been to a couple of haunted houses and this one takes first place and there is no close second!!! You will get SCARED... regardless to how old/mature you are!!! My boyfriend and I got VIP tickets, and while waiting on the line to check-in, we saw people quitting within like 15 seconds of entering!! The check in process was quick, especially if you have the VIP tickets... I would suggest getting VIP tickets over general admission. This place gets packed, and I could only imagine how it will be as it gets closer to Halloween. This is THE PLACE TO VISIT to get your Halloween festivities started! I do not want to give anything away, but it is interactive; you have to crawl in the dark and do other fun things! I was literally screaming and closing my eyes throughout different parts of the haunted house! MY BOYFRIEND AND I MADE IT!!! ** Some of these negative reviews must be rivals; nobody pulled our hair or spit on us. The only downside was an airhead working where you check-in your bags. LOL.

We didn't have to wait in line very long but even that was enjoyable because there is a creepy DJ playing great music that really sets the mood. Re: Blackout. I highly recommend it to EVERYONE…read more I didn't know a lot about Blackout other than what I saw in glimpses on social media over the past few years. I've always loved haunts but I couldn't bring myself to do them anymore. I've been raped and sexually assaulted and the idea of people jumping at me or grabbing me scared the hell out of me. It's not something I thought about, but as someone whose love language is physical touch, it's something I needed to reclaim. I was so proud of my partner for going through with it and the way he described it, I knew I had to go. I bought my ticket yesterday and the anticipation killed me in the best way possible. When I arrived, I checked in with Faith upfront -- she IMMEDIATELY made me feel safe and was such a joy to talk to. And Kris -- I appreciate him so, so much. I knew the questions I was going to be asked before going in so I knew I needed to be honest about my anxiety. I just started taking medication again and although I feel significantly better, I know when I'm off or triggered. His check in was SO reassuring and he instilled that confidence in me that I could do this and be honest with myself if I needed to stop. The actors were everything. I knew I was in safe hands the entire time. Their generosity of vulnerability and control and their ability to read my body and what I needed in the moment was incredible. I was terrified and amused and happy among a shit ton of other feelings, and ultimately, I knew I was safe. And FUCK it felt so, SO good to scream. I'm very grateful for what this experience provided for me. I know I have a lot of healing to do when it comes to trust and understanding physical touch in different types of relationships, but this experience proved to me that it's something I don't have to be afraid of, it is something I need and I can embrace, and if I'm ever afraid, I'm in control. It also made me SO excited for rewrites on my musical, MAXA. My ultimate goal for the piece is to make it accessible to survivors like myself and leave the ending in a way that may not be satisfying for everyone, but at the very least, cathartic. I felt so much relief and dread when I finished it because I was deep in the pits of my depression at the time. Blackout inspired the hell out of me and I can't wait to dive back in. To their company, thank you for everything. I didn't know that this was something I needed and I'm so grateful for the experience. If you're curious about it, I couldn't recommend it more. Go, go, go before they close.

I really felt like I couldn't breathe for a moment, which yes I guess is scary but not in the way that most want to be scared. My boyfriend and I left feeling kinda gross and swindled. It's so expensive and just for all that, no thanks.
