We were a little worried because we had a movie to catch so only had an hour to eat and run, but we shouldn't have been! The service was phenomenal. We sat ourselves and enjoyed typical pub decor and tables, plus pool tables, while we waited to be served. Our waitress was awesome and very personable (wish I could remember her name for this review). Our order came within less than 5 minutes and each type of wing was DELICIOUS! (Teriyaki, Garlic Parmesan, Salt & Pepper, and Chili Lime.) They were easily some of the best wings I've ever had. Without even having to mention we were in a hurry she brought us our bill (after we asked) and we never once were waiting around. I'd definitely go again. :)

For food, my boyfriend ordered the BBQ Pulled Pork Burger ($21) with French onion soup ($7.5). I ordered the Bacon Mushroom Swiss Burger ($22) with Truffle Fries ($3), a white sangria ($10.5) and crème brûlée ($8) with strawberry compote for dessert. Prices are before tax and tip. The BBQ Pulled Pork Burger and french onion soup were alright. The sangria was absolutely delicious! I highly suggest it. I absolutely loved the mix of peach, pear and orange juice. The crème brûlée was extremely delicious. Best in Regina. Seriously ! And the Keg charges the same price for a THIRD of what Lancaster is offering. I also think their recipe at Lancaster is better. The truffle fries were decent. They were cold unfortunately but I was with a rather large group so I'm not going to fault them for it entirely. I actually think they would have been awesome if they were cooked a little warmer, a little crispier and didn't come with the sauce. I prefer a garlic, truffle and Parmesan flavour for the type of fries. The burger itself was actually pretty good. If it had been warmer, I think the patty itself would have been moister. That being say, it tasted fresh. Honestly I was wondering if it was mixed with bison because of the flavour. I throughly enjoy a gamey flavour and this burger had hints of it. Honestly, this burger is very close to being the best burger in Regina that I've ever had. I want to return and get a genuine sit down dinner experience with no more than 4 people. This place has the potential to produce the best burger in the city!

The staff did a great job considering two large groups walked in at the same time on a Saturday afternoon when it's supposed to be slow. They called someone in early and tried to catch up. I grabbed their pretzels which was HUGE. Definitely want to share this dish. They have a great cocktail list. My first round was a beer, but my second beverage was their twist on a dark and stormy. Delicious!

The burger is house-made, with garlic aioli, sautéed mushrooms with butter and thyme, arugula, black truffle cheddar and (my favourite) a bacon-onion compote. It was served on a sesame brioche bun. It looked great, but there were some problems. The patty itself was much too small for the rest of the burger. My boyfriend also mentioned his was gritty. My fries were warm, not hot. But the biggest let down were the mushrooms. They were extremely tough to eat, I ended up not eating them all because I couldn't get past how rubbery they were. And I'm a fiend for sautéed mushrooms which says a lot. The flavours here are good. This is the first time I've had issues here, so I am willing to return and Im hoping that this was just a bad night.

The service was prompt and courteous. I ordered the cinnamon bun pancakes. The dish was delicious and decadent. Portions are quite good and the flavor was great. Overall the experience was great and would definitely come back.

Unfortunately, what I received was nothing close to risotto--it looked like mashed potatoes with cream cheese. When I asked the waitress what type of rice was used, she didn't know and had to check with the chef. She returned saying it was Jasmine rice. For anyone who appreciates authentic cuisine, risotto should be made with Arborio rice, cooked al dente, and prepared with the right ingredients. Calling that dish "risotto" was misleading. Despite that, I decided to give the restaurant another chance because it's close to my workplace. Today, however, I had an extremely uncomfortable experience. I had made a reservation for two yesterday and requested specific dishes (soup and salad). This morning, due to work commitments, I asked the other person to cancel the reservation. Shortly after, I received a call from the owner. His reaction shocked me--he was rude, aggressive, and argumentative, even as I apologized. Instead of trying to understand the situation or find a solution, he kept escalating the conversation. When I tried to mention customer service, he was completely dismissive, so I ended the call. I overlooked my first bad experience and kept going back, but after today, I will never return. Think twice before visiting--if this is how the owner treats customers, imagine how he treats his staff.
