Aimee at Broken Dagger has been doing my partners tattoos for quite some time! We decided Valentine's Day would be a great option to get our third one together. Although she has been with Aimee for several years, she has not been to this location (Tattoo Shop). It's clean, all the artists are extremely creative & have their specialty; Aimee was incredible. It was a little one we did (matched) & it was exactly what we were looking for. Clean, small, meaningful, & perfectly done, Aimee is a true professional with an incredibly steady hand & great technique. I also love the wireless tattoo gun. We will be back! I was in town for When We Were Young and I knew I wanted to get a tattoo to commemorate my trip. I had nothing but a hope and a prayer and did a search of Vegas tattoo shops. I came across Broken Dagger. It had wonderful reviews from previous clients; the shop looked clean and had great vibes; and the artists were featured on the shop's socials. I loved the work they did - so I gave the shop a message with about 4 days notice to my trip. Whoever runs the shop's insta was very responsive and said they would be able to get me in before my trip was over! They set me up with Luis and the rest is history (and tattooed on my arm!) Big thanks to Luis! He was so kind and welcoming, very chill, and I learned a lot about Vegas tattoo culture! And of course, he's a very talented artist! Highly recommend this shop to anyone who may be visiting for a weekend! read more

Took my son here for his first tattoo. His 18th birthday present. I phoned ahead of time and they were very friendly and stated they accepted walk-in's. The tattoo artist Luis helped us, and was very patient with us. Listened to everything my son wanted and executed the tattoo perfectly. Amazing work! Ashley did my tattoo, we got matching tattoos, friendly and professional. Definitely recommend this place! read more

This is my 2nd time coming to Broken Dagger and I had another great experience. My artist this time was Justin Mccroy. Justin was very patient, listened to what I wanted and was very professional. This was a quick little tattoo in remembrance of my mom and I'm very happy. Also, Justin has the lightest hand! I felt nothing. This picture is day 2 of healing. Ill definitely be returning next time Im in town. read more

This was an absolute find for someone not from town. The shop itself is well done, and has a good feeling. The tattoos we got were also good. However, what really sets this place above many others I've been too, was customer service. Aimee and Luis were both excellent and extremely flexible and nice. If I lived in town this would be my usual tattoo shop. read more

I have gotten multiple tattoos done by Luis Rivera and I am definitely going back for more work in the near future. His work is bold & beautiful!! AND he is always so accommodating to any ideas I have even with short notice, he takes his time with details and always makes sure your comfortable. Definitely my artist for anything from here on out!!! The quality and service from the artist's in this shop is amazing, they have a wide variety of artists that specialize in all types of tattoos so no matter what you want they have someone that will kill it! Fultz is amazing as well, he has done one of my tattoos and is planning to do my husband's sleeve, his colors POP! All the artists are personable and friendly, You won't regret getting a tattoo at Broken Dagger. read more

This review is long overdue. A month ago I finished a 13 hour cover up session with Luis (8hrs first session and 5 the next) and he is the only one I will trust going forward with any ink. Luis is not only friendly and open to suggestions and ideas but he's a hell of a talented artist! His work is rooted in traditional and neo traditional art and the cover up he did for me is outstanding! I walked in one day (after seeing his portfolio online) asked for 5 min of his time and simply asked "what can we do with this?" From there, he got to work with ideas and came back with a design that was perfect and what I wanted. We all know getting tatted is a process and honestly, if you want it done right you have to find someone who sees it as a process of love! Love for the art and the culture. Luis is THE man for this. The whole shop is insanely professional, clean and welcoming. You can get your first or 20th tatt here and be in the best hands by artists who eat, breathe and respect the culture. read more

If you're looking for a high-quality tattoo, this is absolutely the place to go. A few days before our visit, I called the shop with several questions, and Justin F went above and beyond--spending 38 minutes on the phone patiently answering every single one. He didn't have to do that, but it immediately gave me great vibes. Between that conversation and all the amazing reviews I read online, I knew we had found the right shop. This visit was especially important because it was going to be my boyfriend's first tattoo, so everything had to be perfect. He booked an appointment with Luis (@rivera_1989), who was incredibly responsive and friendly from the start. We flew into Las Vegas from San Diego and went straight to Broken Dagger Tattoo to begin the experience. Luis was so kind and patient, especially with my very nervous boyfriend. He wanted Ozzy Osbourne's signature tattooed from a photo Ozzy had personally autographed for him. As a huge Ozzy fan, this meant a lot--and Luis absolutely nailed it. My boyfriend loved the result so much that he decided to go all in and get the iconic Ozzy smiley face tattoos on his knees as well. Luis took his time to make sure everything was exactly how he wanted it, and the signature and smiley faces came out perfect. Everyone at the shop was welcoming and engaging, even putting on Ozzy Osbourne music while my boyfriend was getting tattooed. The entire experience was fantastic, and when he's ready to add more to his Ozzy tribute, we already know he'll be coming back to Luis at Broken Dagger Tattoo. read more

Best experience! First tattoos for my sister and me. Aimee was gentle, curated the cutest Dino tattoo for my sister and drew exactly what I asked for and executed it perfectly. For my first tattoo, it was a breeze - I attribute it all to Aimee being a pro! Great experience!! Adorable tattoos, well executed. My brother had Luis tattoo him and he did such a good job with the details and execution. read more

Walked in for reconnaissance to Broken Dagger Tattoo on S. Decatur & W. Hacienda. Met Justin and Randy who were friendly, and professional. 1st things 1st. I need to mention the reason for actually going to the studio unannounced, in person. I wanted to see the environment. The studio was clean, organized & arranged in an open concept. The decor was a pleasant diverse mix of art. The furniture (chairs & beds) was new and lighting was correct for a serious professional tattoo studio. Now the artists. Randy jumped right in to my query, when I asked for a tattoo of a name and wanted it large on my neck. She had availability in 48 hours and asked for images of what I had in mind. From there we texted renderings back and forth-advancing and improving to what I wanted. Final stencil was determined on the day of the the appointment. Randy worked non-stop. She was gentle, communicative with the positions she needed me to move to; and overall fabulous to work with while under the unpleasant pain of the tattoo gun. She offered breaks, but I powered through the 3+ hours on my neck, Adam's apple, jugular & collarbone area. I did take a 5 min. To go out and warm up a bit. Line work and font is superb. She was able to take a figment of my imagination and bring it to life!! Thank you so very much Randy!! I'll seek you out again without hesitation when it's time. *shout-out to Luis (another artist at BDT) who was kind enough to take some pictures on my phone while Randy was laying down the ink on me. Thanks Luis! read more

Making an appointment with Janelle was super easy!! She made me feel calm and comfortable and honestly, I prefer getting tattooed by her than any other tattoo artist I've ever had before. The way she tattoos- it's so much less painful than other tattoos I've had before. She is an amazing artist and I can't wait to see all the art she hasn't released yet! I honestly cannot wait to get more artwork done by her. Her style is so cool! Honestly, I looked in the mirror after the three tattoos she added to my arm in the past couple of weeks on me and I'm so in love. Thank you for making me look SO COOL!! This shop is clean and full of things to look at. We were quickly greeted and signed some paperwork. My ideas were sent to the artist Luis. He was nice and professional. Not too chatty but engaging which was nice. He did quick and efficient work. He took the time to line it up on both of my arms. He also made sure several times along the way that the placement was correct which it was. The only thing I am a little disappointed with is the price. On the website it says artist are 100-175 an hour depending. My simple idea including the sketch the prep time and everything else out the door was less than an hour. He said 300 after the work was done and that's without the tip. I had asked twice along the way how much it was going to be and didn't receive a clear answer. I should have been more proactive about asking why it was so much so I suppose that is on me. read more

After much procrastinating and a lot of research, I booked a session with Randy to get 2 small tattoos and to re-shade in an existing tattoo. The place was pretty cool with all sorts of artwork on the wall and a good overall ambiance. Randy was pretty chill, kind and accommodating. She made me feel quite comfortable. My tattoos look great, and I'd definitely come back to get some more work done with her. I highly recommend her to anyone who is looking for an artist in Las Vegas. I also am so happy to support a woman tattoo artist, as I feel they're hard to find. Thanks, Randy!!! read more

I was visiting Las Vegas for New Year's vacation and thought about getting a tattoo from the area. I chose this shop as it was near to where I was staying. I called asking if they had any availability for a same-day appointment and they gladly took me in. The process for booking was simple! I let them know my ideas for what I wanted, was able to send them references and sure enough they were able to have me the same day! The shop had a pretty cool and clean setup. I loved the vibe that the shop had with so many artworks framed and displayed on the walls! Luis was the artist that helped me. I can't express enough how sweet and amazing Luis is. He is super friendly, kind, surprisingly super gentle when tattooing me, I actually fell asleep a little! I really love the tattoo design that he provided me with; it was almost like he read my mind! One thing I like to highlight about this shop is how budget-friendly they are. When I called, they asked me for my budget and I have never encountered a shop that took budget into consideration so that was really nice of them to ask. I will be returning to this shop when I visit Las Vegas again! Thank you Luis and to the friendly staff that provided phenomenal service! read more

Luis did an excellent job working with me to design my tattoo for my cat that just recently passed away. I went in on Saturday to discuss what I wanted, which was my cat's name, Lucky, written backwards on my chest (so I can read it in the mirror), with his paw prints walking up, and a halo. He messaged me back and forth throughout the day with samples and different fonts. He was super patient and accommodating with all my adjustment requests until we landed on just the right design. I then went in the following day for the session and knocked it out in about an hour and a half. He was super friendly, funny, and his attention to detail was superb. He knew the tattoo was very important and especially in capturing Lucky's paw prints, which I had ink stamped several weeks prior. I love the result and highly recommend Luis and Broken Dagger. Everyone is very friendly and welcoming and it's an all around great experience. Thanks Luis! read more

Found this place on Yelp while vacation in vegas and knew I had to try this place. I called ahead of time but they accept walk ins as a first come first serve basis. Came on a slow Sunday afternoon and Nabil was my artist.
