Amethyst was fabulous. Had 3 size options available before appointment. Takes her time with placement. Able to make adjustments on the fly to make the tattoo even better. The studio is cute and clean. Vibe was very relaxing and it really was not painful.
Everything was the best with Amethyst and John. When I first sent in my request form Amethyst was on top of it. Helpful and kind, she took my idea and she and John made what I wanted exactly what I was looking for. We are so pleased and when we visit again we will be lining up more ink time. They insist on the clients well being and it was a very chill atmosphere.
Getting this tattoo meant a lot to me, and I couldn't have asked for a better experience than the one we had with Amethyst this past weekend in Las Vegas. Inspired by the Welcome to Holland poem, my friend and I got matching tulip tattoos--something deeply personal, but also full of beauty and meaning. From the very beginning, Amethyst was everything you hope for in a tattoo artist and more. She was incredibly responsive, warm, professional, and knowledgeable. There's a calm, poised energy about her that instantly puts you at ease--especially if you're someone who finds the whole tattoo process a little intimidating (which, let's be real, a lot of us do). She walked us through every step with clarity and care, making sure we felt comfortable and confident the entire time. Her shop was clean, stylish, and had such a cool, welcoming vibe. And the aftercare kit she gave us? So thoughtful and well put together--it really showed how much she cares about her clients beyond just the appointment. Getting a tattoo is a permanent decision, and finding someone you trust with that is not easy. But Amethyst is absolutely worth that trust. Whether you're local to Vegas or just visiting like we were, she is 100% worth it. 12/10 experience--no notes
Highlights: Great communication, clean studio, love my tattoo! Ambience: Lunar, crystal, witchy vibes. Comfortable and calm. Experience: I got my matching tattoos with my cousin and coordinated with Amethyst in advance to book time with her and her husband John. She also customized our initial design idea which I loved! I was so nervous as this was my first tattoo, but she made me feel so comfortable! She kept me informed throughout and also let me choose a Squishmallow to hold onto for emotional support. Such a cute and thoughtful touch! She and John had a light hand and it was such a pleasant experience for us all! The aftercare kit was also great to take with us! It had soap, ointment, a crystal, sticker, and instructional card in tarot format. Loved it! I will definitely return here for more dainty, fine line tattoos to add after this amazing experience! They also touch up their tattoos for free!
Highly recommend! I'm literally covered in tattoos and this is one of the best run shops I've been to! Organized & responsive. Great fine line work- so happy with my piece!
Had a really great experience getting my first fine-line tattoo here! Amethyst is very welcoming and warm; she makes you feel very comfortable from the very beginning of the process! The studio is very quaint, quiet and clean. 10/10 would definitely come back to get more tattoos with her! The most painless tattoo out of the 4 I have!
Five stars all the way. I took my daughter London to get her first tattoo and the experience at Lunar Ink was fantastic from start to finish. Amethyst was incredibly talented, professional, and made my daughter feel comfortable and excited about the whole process. The shop is clean, welcoming, and full of great energy. The artwork came out beautiful and it made a big milestone moment for my daughter really special. If you're looking for great artists in Las Vegas, Lunar Ink is the place. Highly recommend.
Amethyst is AMAZING at what she does. Her fine line work is absolutely beautiful, and her talent really shows in every detail. She takes her time and makes sure your tattoo is perfect, which I truly appreciate. I've gotten three tattoos from her so far and will definitely be getting more whenever I visit Vegas. Her shop is also super clean and has such a calming, welcoming vibe. Highly recommend her if you're looking for precise, stunning fine line tattoos!
Visiting from NYC & wanted a new tattoo over vacay. Found Lunar Ink on IG & Yelp; loved their work! Amethyst was incredibly friendly, communicative, knowledgeable, & helpful when getting my appt set up & my design finalized. The actual day went incredibly smooth; the design was ready for me when I arrived and John was able to start right away. He is so talented & I got exactly what I wanted - only better. The vibes at the studio were calm and relaxing. Highly recommend.
I had such a great experience getting tattooed here! Amethyst was super quick to respond and made scheduling easy. She's so kind and professional, and immediately put me at ease. The studio itself is spotless and has a really calm, welcoming vibe, which made the whole process even better. Her fine line work is absolutely beautiful--so delicate, precise, and exactly what I was hoping for. Highly recommend if you're looking for stunning fine line work in a comfortable and professional space!
Amazing experience with Amethyst at Lunar Ink! Super responsive, transparent about pricing, and her studio is adorable. She made last-minute design tweaks with no issue, and her light touch made this the most painless tattoo I've ever gotten (I almost fell asleep). Will definitely be back!
My daughter and I got matching heart tattoos. We absolutely love them and Amethyst helped us with the design to make sure it was the size we wanted. The best service from the time we called to booking the appointment and arriving at the shop. Amethyst was very communicative every step of the way. Thank you for making such a special day for us extra special.
I cannot share enough positive comments about Lunar Ink. I reached out around 10am and Amethyst was able to fit me in that afternoon since I was flying home the next day. John did my tattoo and it turned out better than I could have ever imagined. I've wanted this tattoo for a while. So thrilled I got it here. Their space is beautiful and relaxed. I'll be scheduling my ink ahead next time I'm coming to town. Thank you Lunar Ink!!!

Update 08/21/2026 We're Back!!! It didn't take my wife and I long to start planning our next tattoos once we healed up from our first tattoos. We had another amazing experience here at Lunar Ink. This time though, it was more relaxing. The ice had already been broken from our first visit so this time it felt like we were visiting friends while still holding up the same professionalism and care you deserve. I will let their art work speak for how talented these two are. I just love how they can take a design and completely make it their own and just NAIL IT! Thank you Amethyst & John! Until next time! read more

Such an amazing place. I wanted a simple remembrance for my husband, it's now 6yrs of healing. Amethyst brought my heart to life with a phrase that was always said to one another. She was kind, gentle, and so understanding of my state...this was my 1st tattoo. Much Gratitude read more
I've been looking for someone who was an amazing fine line artist to do my lotus flower tattoo, and Amethyst was everything I was looking for and more. Absolutely professional throughout the process, quick to respond to my query for my tattoo, and ideas for the image, Lunar Ink was exactly what I expect from a great tattoo studio. Amethyst walked me through the entire process and made sure I was comfortable with the size, and detailing of the tattoo. Any additions were discussed and she always had me look the tattoo over to ensure I was happy with the work. The studio was awesome, clean, and the vibes were so calming. It's literally my favorite studio I've been to (and I have three tattoos by different artists already) Was this place a hit? 10/10 yes! Worth EVERY PENNY. So much so, that I plan on getting another tattoo with them. read more

The dynamic duo of Amethyst and John are incredible. From beginning to end, they made the entire process easy, fun, and professional. Amethyst was extremely attentive, responsive, and friendly during the consult period. The ambience of her shop is a vibe: celestial calmness with a variety of things to catch your eye. Amethyst and John were able to complete these beautiful pieces in memory of our beloved dad. They captured the abstractness of what we each wanted to commemorate our dad and executed it to perfection. Amethyst was thorough and informative during the tattooing process and going over post care-we even got a beautifully packaged aftercare kit! Will definitely be back for future pieces! Can't say enough good things of my experience at Lunar Ink 10/10!!! read more

Amethyst was a dream to work with. As a woman visiting from out of town, I really appreciated her multi-step safety process (for both our sakes). And her fine line work was immaculate. She also took great pains to discuss my tattoo before we started - what I wanted, where I wanted it, how large, little nuances to make it perfect, etc. I had debated getting this tattoo for a while and am so glad I waited until I found her. I HIGHLY recommend her!!! read more

Amethyst and John were amazing! My best friend and I got matching tattoos and could not be happier! It was my best friend's first tattoo, and they thoroughly walked us through what to expect, explained each step of the tattoo process in detail, and made sure we felt completely comfortable the entire time. Amethyst went over everything from placement and design to what the sensation would feel like, and she gave us clear, detailed aftercare instructions so we knew exactly how to take care of our tattoos afterward. They were so warm, welcoming, and such good vibes from start to finish. We can't wait to come back! read more
