Visiting friends in Mississippi and they made sure we came to Broken Cup for lunch and coffee. Nice selection of sandwiches and salads, home made sides and the pimento cheese. Cute place, was a bit bummed that my only option for milk for my latte was half and half. Maybe they were out of everything else? Breakfast sandwich was ok, egg seemed like the kind that came out of a crate of frozen egg patties and were microwaved. Bacon and bread seemed fresh, and were both tasty. Just disappointed at the egg puck, but heck it was super cheap, so worth the price. Overall a decent place to stop for a bite, lunch looked better, breakfast was good not great. We went to the Broken Cup Cafe for the Witches NIght Out and were very pleased with both service and atmosphere. Everything was well-maintained and clean. After a taste test, I have to say, their chicken salad is the best in Senatobia. I came home with a 16 oz container of the good stuff. The ladies were very nice; they welcomed me and my mom & sister, and gave my mom a place to rest after we'd walked all of Main Street. There were Knick-Knacks to buy including some novelty socks! ("Farts are okay!" will be in my kid's stocking come Christmas.) A super plus--they have a "Win 1/2 pot" raffle going for the Senatobia-Tate Animal Shelter. We will definitely be back on November 5 for the Christmas Open House. read more

Came from VA and MD to visit family, and wanted a quick lunch! Our party of 7 genuinely enjoyed everything on the menu! From the chicken biscuits, waffles, BLT, Club Sandwich (broken cup), caramel cake, strawberry cake, the parfait, frappe's and ice latte's...we couldn't find a single item we had anything to complain about. They serve a variety of flavor options among their drinks as well as serving breakfast and lunch. It's a quaint experience once inside the doors. Original post: We used to love broken cup but recently every time we go, they are out of something. That happens-- BUT instead of telling you up front when you order like they should do, they just adapt it and sometimes it isn't even close to what it was supposed to be. Another time they made a BLT with no tomatoes and when we asked, they said they were out. If they had told us they were out, we wouldn't have gotten a BLT when one major ingredient is out. We have addressed it with two staff members now and neither one was concerned about the practice or offered to make an alternative option. Went back today and my husband ordered a club-- came on the wrong bread, one piece of bacon, one piece of turkey.. so when he asked if there had been a mistake, the girl said they were just out of the bread but didn't bother to tell us up front and when we suggested they start doing so, she was very dismissive. Update: we went back after the owner replied to my reviews. I again ordered a Cobb salad and my husband ordered a club. His sandwich came again with no bacon. My Cobb did have bacon so we knew they had it, so he went and asked for it. The one that took our order was going to check the menu for him (even though we knew it had it) but the owner had come in and heard the request, apologized and agreed to get some for him. When she brought it over, she also brought us heated blueberry scones which were amazing. It may be that some of the people fixing the food don't know what is supposed to be in things because they weren't busy this particular day. I guess the bottom line is that it matters who is there, who is making the food and serving you because the owner was great but the original was still wrong. So a middle star review for hit or miss. read more

This is an ideal place. There's coffee, teas, and other great beverages. And they also have good breakfast/lunch menu with a Cobb salad, and other sandwiches. We are local and like to shop local but when a business is consistently inconsistent, we just can't do it. Today's take out order was once again not a good thing. Two club sandwiches, drinks and chips. How hard is this? Apparently too much effort. Ingredients missing from the sandwiches, canned cokes were hot, they were out of ice, and no napkins in the sack. This should have been a basic order but no one seems to be in charge of quality control. This is not the first or the only time our order was messed up but it will be the last time. read more

Love this place! It's not only perfect for coffee lovers like myself, but it is a great place to sit and study!
