Pope Animal Hospital has been around for years, really as far back as I can remember. I've been…read morethere in the past. I've had two cats fixed there in the last ten years, and have taken others for shots. Normally, the vets give good service, but the receptionist that has been there for years is always rude, which causes me to use them as a last resort. Yesterday, I took my cat, who is 15 years old and was vomiting almost constantly. Like, every ten minutes. She wasn't eating and was vomiting clear liquids, and once there was blood. Obviously, it's horrifying. She's 15, some cats don't even make it that long. So, I took her there cause that was the vet that could get me in. She's never been before. Hawthorne is my go to Veterinary Hospital. Pope never asked her age. Never asked me her diet. Never asked me if she has any health issues. They did the brief basic physical of checking her teeth and listening to her stomach. That's all. They did an xray, then when that came up clean they're like "we can give you some nausea medication and send you home or run a blood panel and send the medicine with you". Okay, my cat can't eat and has lost three pounds, do the blood tests. Meanwhile, in the back the vet tech is cussing up a storm, which while I cuss, there is a risk of children coming in and hearing them. As they're packaging the medication for my cat another vet tech asks the doctor if it's for an adult cat and the vet's response was "Oh, I think so." Not only is my cat an adult, she's a senior. You don't treat a 5 year old cat the same as 15 year old. Then, after the blood is drawn, the vet passed the vials on to someone who is just standing there confused because they didn't have any communication as to what to do with it. The reason why I saw all this and could say anything, is the doctors office is set up to where you can see into their back room from an exam room. So I wasn't in the same room as them or else I would have taken my cat and walked out. Now, the test results were supposed to be back today. Doctors words were "if I don't call you tomorrow, you call me." I called. Twice. She never called back.
