However, a necklace of mine with sentimental value recently broke and I needed to get it fixed. Chapel Hills Jewelry seems like it's frequented by the highfalutin Fox Chapelites, as there are always expensive cars parked in their lot when I walk by. I felt a little intimidated schlepping to their shop in my yoga pants and hoodie, but darn it, I needed my necklace fixed, and this place is right by my house! However, I had nothing to feel intimidated about...they couldn't have been nicer! The folks I dealt with were helpful, kind, and didn't make me feel like I wasn't worth their time just because I wasn't there shopping for thousands of dollars worth of jewelry. They examined my necklace, said they could fix it within two weeks, and delivered as promised. My necklace was as good as new! And despite the fact that I spent a whopping $16 with them, they treated me as respectfully as I assume they treat those who are spending much more. I would definitely use them again for fixing my jewelry. And the next time I have a need to buy some fancypants bling, I'll be stopping by (probably in my yoga pants and hoodie again...but still).

I chose this place because my husband and I got our wedding rings at Mock & Co which is on the top floor of the same building and I'm so glad I did! The gentleman that helped me (I apologize I didn't get his name) was so friendly and courteous. He didn't make me feel bad for some of my junk that I brought in and showed me the process of how they determine what's "real" or not and then how it's valued. I was hoping for 20 bucks- I got $450!!!!! Shocked! He even gave me the advice of not saying you don't know what you're doing, as some places could rip you off. But he took the time to show me how he got that number and it was the full trade value. I'll be recommending this business to anyone looking to sell gold!

However after my last interaction over the phone with some gentleman, I will not be spending my money there anymore. Called about some gold grams and was going to buy all the had. Asked him when I come in to buy if he could test a gold piece I had bought previously from somewhere else. He got a very bad attitude with me and was very rude. Even offered to pay for the testing. The nice women working there never had an issue doing this for me beforehand. Seems like a terrible way to treat a frequent paying customer. Plenty of other shops I've been to that are glad to test pieces for me and have cheaper premiums. That man should stay home and let the ladies handle customers.
