Honestly I would give zero stars if possible. Hands down the worst salon experience of my life. My friend and I had 2:30 appointments for a mani/pedi groupon deal and arrived 8 minutes late. No one was at the front desk. The salon owner emerged and asked to reschedule. We asked if we could just get pedicures and she reluctantly agreed. She started angrily giving my friend her pedi. Fifteen minutes later another woman arrived to do my pedi. She never introduced herself and sat down glaring at me. No one offered us water. The pedis each took approximately 20 minutes (kinda short but whatevs). The owner pushed my friend's cuticle down way too far. Nonetheless I asked if they could squeeze in one mani for me because I was leaving town the next day and there were no other clients and the pedi only took 20 minutes. I really wanted my nails done for a bachelorette party I had in another town the next night. They said no because they had a 3:15 and a 3:30 appointment. My friend pointed out we were only 8 minutes late and that it seemed unreasonable. The girl doing my nails said, "normally pedis take 45 minutes and manis take 30 minutes." I asked why they had a 3:15 if each appointment is normally an hour and fifteen minutes. The owner proceeded to fight with me about the math. I'm no math whiz but I'd bet my entire life savings that 45 + 30 = 75 minutes. My friend chimed in that our pedis only took 20 minutes and that the woman doing my nails was herself late. The owner snapped, "you don't understand because you don't work at a salon, do you?" My friend said, "i will stay calm and reasonable but I have a major problem with how this is being handled." The owner stormed off and returned a few minutes later. When she returned the owner said, "I was counting on you to be early." I said I booked the appointment and no one mentioned coming early. She said, "I didn't say early; I said on time." Uhm, am I hallucinating?? Then she said, "if you knew you were leaving town tomorrow why did you book an appointment for today?" I explained that I have never had to come back for a mani/pedi before. At this point, the owner said, "you guys are acting like a bunch of spoiled brats" and demanded that we leave the salon. Our nails were still wet but we stood up. She asked for our groupons. We said we shouldn't have to pay because we were being kicked out with wet nails and had not gotten manicures and had received incredibly rude service which included name calling. The owner insisted we pay anyway and we were so rattled that we gave her our groupons. At this point it was past 3:30 and no one else had come in. So much for the supposed 3:15 appointment! Upon getting in the car, we investigated our toes and discovered the real kicker: terrible pedis with nail polish on our skin and cuticles. My four year old can give a better pedi. I would never in a million years return to this salon. I'd be shocked if it stayed in business. read more

Had my hair done here for my wedding, which included a free trial run, and was very happy with it. I've also had gel manis and pedi. Capable and personable staff. Only complaint is they don't seem to have a big selection of gel colors. read more

Brodhead Spa has to be the most unorganized, unprofessional beauty salon/spa that I have ever had the displeasure of dealing with. The nightmare began when my future daughter-in-law (FDIL) won a gift certificate from Brodhead Spa at a Bridal Show. She was thrilled! She decided that she wanted to use the gift certificate on the day of her wedding and have her bridal party and the moms join in on the fun and pay for their own services. We saw Robin, the owner's mother, at another Bridal Show and spoke with her to set up an appointment to tour the spa and learn how they would accommodate my FDIL and her guests on her wedding day. We booked a day with Robin to come and visit her and the spa. My FDIL received a call from Robin asking if we could postpone the appointment until the following Saturday as she had forgotten about a prior commitment. That was not a problem. A few days later, my FDIL received another call from Robin asking us to once again change the appointment date to Friday, Valentine's Day. My FDIL again agreed to change the date, even though it was Valentine's Day evening. On the day of the appointment, Robin called my FDIL asking if we could come in 30 minutes earlier than our scheduled appointment. My FDIL said yes, again, and again confirmed her wedding date as she had done each phone call before. My FDIL and I rushed from work to be at the spa by the new set appointment time. Once we arrived at the spa, it seemed very inviting. Robin showed us around and informed us how we would be treated the day of the wedding. We then met Samantha, the "owner" and Robin's daughter. We were eager to sign the contract with Samantha for the wedding date. Once the date was given, Samantha advised us that she just booked that day and we couldn't book it as well. WHAT?! This day had been booked with Robin and confirmed with each and every phone call from Robin. Samantha said that she was sorry and that her mother was filling in for her and didn't know what she was doing. Ok, again WHAT?! Your mother buys you a business so you can play boss and you throw her under the bus by saying SHE didn't know what she was doing! Samantha tried to save face by trying to accommodate my FDIL by bringing us in later than we had wanted. This would mean that the bride, and her guests, would basically be rushed through their pampering. This is not what was promised to the bride. The day was to be hers and it was taken right out from under her nose. There is absolutely no communication between mother and daughter. You truly don't know who is running the business nor do they know how to run the business. Neither of them should be "behind the counter" in this field. If you are looking for a spa day to be pampered or for a special occasion, please, keep looking. There are quite a few other spas in the Beaver County area that can definitely handle their clientele. This could actually be a blessing in disguise as the doors on Brodhead Spa will probably be closed come the wedding day. read more

Nice place! They offer a ton of different services including: hair, nails, tanning, makeup, massage, and waxing. I had a manicure and pedicure combo, which was very relaxing and enjoyable. The space is updated and modern, and is kept neat and clean. The owner was there and she was extremely inviting and sweet. I will definitely make another appointment to try other services! read more

I did apologize to the owner of this salon for jumping the gun. She really tried to work with me. It was her "hairdresser" that made me angry for putting my complaint on speaker phone when he INSISTED that I tell HIM what the problem was. I told the owner that all I want to do is make my kids happy. I have a gift certificate that one of them gave ME. I don't feel comfortable using it now so I told the owner that since I'm a nice person, please allow me to transfer this $65 dollar certificate to my daughter. A normal business person would say "that's fine..but here is what else I will do for you." All she said in her email was to cross MY name out and she'll let her employees know. Wow. No problem. I still don't reccommend this place because the personell are very unprofessional. In a small town, you have to be above and beyond. read more

No. Just no. Tabithas salon takeover would have a field day with this place. I arrived and was asked to sit in the corner while the staff finished their lunch. There was now one other customer. Just a bunch of hairdressers sitting around laughing and eating while I felt like I was interrupting. It's a week later and my highlights look dull and grown out and the cut. Forget it. She acted like she didn't want to be bothered with cutting it. She even asked if I wanted it to air dry, that made me feel like she didn't want the trouble of blow drying (they charge 25 for a cut, so I expect a blow dry. I honestly look like I need my hair done and it was just done! The talk that goes on about the stylists personal finances and personal things just makes you so uncomfortable. Don't go there, not even worth it with a groupon. read more

I've had two opposite experiences here. I will say overall, the owner is not a nice lady. My friend booked to have her wedding party taken care of here - hair and nails before the wedding. The required us to each pay 50$ to hold our spot - reasonable. However, my friend asked if a few of us could come months prior for a service so they could practice how she wanted the hair done. They said yes but then they would not schedule a time for us to come in. Time and time again she called and they would make excuses or not get back to her. In the end, she said she was not going to go with them anymore because they were unreliable. It was still 2 months prior to the wedding. I asked for a refund because I could use that 50$ for many other things. The owner refused. I stated it was not upto me to cancel the services, if they were reliable this would not have happened. She gave certain people a refund, but not everyone. I then ended up using the money for a gel manicure there. I will say that girl was friendly and the manicure lasted 2 weeks. However, I would not go back due to not wanting to support the business seeing that the manager is not friendly. read more

Overall, this experience was less than great. I had scheduled once before a vacation that they had to cancel and my second attempt was also almost cancelled until I mentioned this already happened. The woman that started with me (I'm assuming the owner) was very sweet, but just wasn't great. I sat in the pedicure chair that the massage was broken. When she started, she almost put callus remover on my cuticles until I pointed it out to her. When it was time to work on my dead skin, she barely buffed anything. There wasn't any pumice stone, only a hand buffer that she barely applied pressure with and went over sections for just a second. Once she was done with that, there wasn't any lotion applied or massage. When I asked for gel on my toes she told me it wasn't worth it? She then went to get the matching gel color and picked up the wrong color so it was straight black instead of dark purple which I didn't notice until the 2nd coat. Next, on to my manicure that was very sub par as well. The other girl didn't trim my cuticles, just soaked my hands in warm water and used an orange stick to push my cuticles back. She then painted my nails with gel polish, which is now all on the edges of my fingers and built up around the cuticles so that will look awful after a day of growing out. And because I wanted gel polish, I had to pay an extra $15 for each. Just not at all happy with this experience. read more

RIP OFF!! I was given a gift certificate to this establishment for my birthday in February. Apparently now that they have the money they don't feel that they need to provide any sort of service!! I called in February and reached their answering machine. I received a return call and when I mentioned that I'd like to get a massage the woman said she'd call me back within the hour. THREE hours later she called but I missed the call and when I returned her call within 30 minutes I was told "I had an opening but now I don't- you'll have to call back next week." Yesterday (April 14) I called and left a message on their answering machine, (which says their hours are 11-7 M-F, that they were not available to take my call but to leave a message and someone would get back to me) and 2 1/2 hours later when no one returned my call I left another message stating that I had a gift certificate, I left a message earlier, and I would appreciate a call back. I'M STILL WAITING. I went to the shop at 6:30 and they were closed (even though the answering machine says they are open till 7) and they have a sign on the door which says "Walk-ins welcome". REALLY??? I can walk in but you can't return my call? I called again today (April 15th) and someone actually answered the phone. When I stated that I had left numerous messages and that I wanted to schedule a pedicure for Saturday if possible I was again told "I'll call you right back". Needless to say she did not call me back. I called again 2 hours later and another woman answered the phone. This woman at least told me that I must have talked to the owner but she left already and that the woman who gives the pedicures was off this Saturday and they were booked the following Saturday. She also told me that the are only open until 5 during the week. I will be going there at some point to get the money for the services they refuse to provide!!! Wish my daughter would have read the reviews BEFORE giving this place any of her money. Don't waste any of yours going to this place!!! read more

Absolutely worst pedi I have ever gotten. Did not cut or clean any cuticle or skin, no trimming or shaping of nails. Barely any filing of foot. Fastest pedi. Never even massaged past ankle. The mitt was a wrap around your foot of room temp to cold towels. Then she finished with an awful paint job. No fan to put your feet under to dry, just a very quick spritz of the can type quick dry..not even going over every toe! Never gave me the control for the massage chair, probably didn't work. Uncomfortable from the minute you enter. Do not waste your time or money. My 4yr old grandchild could do a better job. You will leave looking like you need a pedicure! read more

Had a mani pedi on Friday 5/11/2016. It took almost 3HRS!! Within 12 HRS my nail polish peeled off, right before a wedding!!! . My manicure consisted off taking off my old polish (barely) filed 3 of my 10 nails, pushed my cuticles back, then painted! I call that a paint change. Never even washed my hands. I left due to another appointment I had at 5 with wet nails.. I could of done a better job myself. My toe nails are killing me, they were cut way to short. Pedicure was not acceptable. The girl had on acrylic nails, dropped the tools no less that 8 times. she could not cut, file etc. with those nails on. Looked like a Dollar tree file. Never put my sandals back on after paint job, had to walk around barefoot. Did not use toe separators either. Just a big mess would not recommend this place to anyone. read more

Terrible. I created a Yelp account just so I could warn people about this place. We had eight girls getting their hair and makeup done for a wedding. The Bride even had a free trial run and it didn't look the same at all the day of. I wanted my hair half up, curled. Simple. The curls were falling out before I even had my makeup on. I asked them to fix a couple and she threw her hands up and went "well I don't know what you want me to do." I paid for the airbrush makeup and only received foundation, I had to put the eyeliner and mascara on myself. No blush, nothing. One girl was given jet black eyebrows that wouldn't wipe off. Another girl broke down crying in the salon over her hair. NO ONE was happy when we left. I was even up-charged on the spot because "I requested my hair to be done over" because I wanted them to fix the curls that fell. I went back later (the day of the wedding was not the time nor place to start something) to ask for some of my money back and the owner became very rude and walked away from me and left me in the entrance because "she tried hard and I made her upset." Not the way to run a business at all. Please find another salon, you can never redo your special event pictures. read more
