The others said they would come but didn't. One came, looked and said he would get an estimate to me...I'm still waiting for that estimate, plus the other services to even show up! LA Relief came the day they said they would, gave me an estimate, explained they had a large job to do so it would be about a week or so before the could come do the job. It was nine business days between the estimate and when they came to do the job. The tree was not easy to get to so it could be removed. I have a fenced yard with only one way to get into the yard, it is not large enough for the truck. The crew removed panels of my fence and one of the posts so they could get the bucket truck closer to the tree. They had the tree down in about six hours. The removal included large limbs near main power lines, over a shed, and one that could hit the house as well as take down the power lines running from the pole to the house if not removed properly. All those limbs were taken down without them hitting anything but the ground. Before they left after taking the tree down, they made sure that the yard was as usable as possible until they could come back the next day to move the tree to the front of the house and take it from there. After the debris was moved to the front, the crew made sure that the back yard was raked and didn't have any holes that were caused by the work. It had been a very wet couple of weeks before they came to do the work and the ground was very wet. Some grass was 'torn up' due to the extremely wet ground but they made sure that it was put back to the best condition possible. The fence panels that were removed were put back in the same condition as when it was taken down and that included digging a hole to put the post back. The truck came to take the debris away about an hour after the crew was done moving it to the front. Kyle, the own, also came about the same time as the truck that was removing the debris to check how the job was progressing. He walked to the back to check as well as asked me how his crew did with the job. He also grabbed a rake to clean up the small debris that the 'picker' couldn't grab. The front of my yard was left in the same condition as before they moved the tree debris to it. NO PAYMENT WAS REQUESTED BEFORE THE JOB WAS STARTED! I paid for the job in full when it was completed, which was after all the debris was removed. The price was very reasonable considering where the tree was and the amount of work involved. I fully recommend this service. They did a great job!

I like that it's a family owned business and it was Carlos's daughter who gave the estimate and answered my phone call. The only negative is that they left deep divots in the lawn where logs hit the ground, or equipment dug in. It will make mowing a challenge unless I get out with a shovel and rake (and I'm an 80 year old woman!). But I am willing to use them again because their prices are the best, and they're very nice to deal with.

Ultimately, I'd say go with him if you need trees taken down but don't really care if your yard is wrecked. Some details: The trees he took down were huge and one was right on the house. He did a great job taking them down but his guys just dropped the logs on the ground as the cut them off, leaving huge dents in my yard and breaking my irrigation system. To that effect he insisted on coming by to fix the pipe he knew he broke on his own. We were not keen on letting him play handy man with our irrigation system and called a professional to come out. Turns out there were multiple cracks in the line and the cost to fix was double what Carlos had offered us. I feel he may have known this would happen because he came to our house and demanded we pay him before we had time to get the irrigation lines assessed. As for the rest of the yard, between him and the contractor he hired to grind our stumps the lawn was covered in deep tire groves that we had to fill in with dirt and plant new grass seed in. This took us hours because we did it ourselves. To top it off, the stump grinder left huge mounds of shavings that we had to move. Our yard went from a flat level place to a motocross track with all the hills and valleys! Had we not spent hours filling and flattening there would have been no way to run a lawnmower over the grass when if finally grew back. All of this extra work was in place to save about $1500 from the next best quote.
