I have 2 more trees that I need cut down and I'm 100% using Arbor for them. They were very fair and very trustworthy. There was a board that broke on my privacy fence...not their fault. They show up as scheduled and do what they say they'll do. Today Dana Dowling (on his birthday, no less ! ) showed up to do some tree work for us including fertilizing our prize oak in the front yard and trimming another water oak in the backyard. He introduced his foreman, Brent who completed all of the work. We had scheduled our work in conjunction with that of two of our neighbors who also appreciate and use Dowling. While not the cheapest, they are the best and After completing the scheduled work, we 'caught' Brent blowing all of the leaves off our roof (2700 SF house) then blowing all of the leaves off our lawns, front and side yards (3-4,000 SF min.). The he went to the cul de sac and cleaned up every last leaf he could find. You cannot beat these guys for their work ethic, their conscientious and safe prosecution of the work, and having the right employees and equipment to do the work properly in a timely manner. Not only that but they are courteous and polite. As a General Contractor for 44 years, I have worked with a variety of vendors. This is the firm that will continue to our work as it comes up. While not the cheapest, they are certainly the best. It is worth a great deal to not worry about some guy falling out of a tree, having an accident with a chain saw,, or as recently happened to one of my clients who went with the 'cheap price' on another job only to have the tree crew dropping an 80' tree on the roof of his house seriously damaging the roof which just been repaired (estimated cost of repairs ($5,000 +). I will continue to refer Dowling to my clients, associates, and friends which in turn will allow mt sleep at night.

I'm torn on if I would recommend Carlos to anyone. He took down some really big trees for us, gave…read moreus a good price, got it all done just as he said in one day, and just ruined the ground throughout my yard. Ultimately, I'd say go with him if you need trees taken down but don't really care if your yard is wrecked. Some details: The trees he took down were huge and one was right on the house. He did a great job taking them down but his guys just dropped the logs on the ground as the cut them off, leaving huge dents in my yard and breaking my irrigation system. To that effect he insisted on coming by to fix the pipe he knew he broke on his own. We were not keen on letting him play handy man with our irrigation system and called a professional to come out. Turns out there were multiple cracks in the line and the cost to fix was double what Carlos had offered us. I feel he may have known this would happen because he came to our house and demanded we pay him before we had time to get the irrigation lines assessed. As for the rest of the yard, between him and the contractor he hired to grind our stumps the lawn was covered in deep tire groves that we had to fill in with dirt and plant new grass seed in. This took us hours because we did it ourselves. To top it off, the stump grinder left huge mounds of shavings that we had to move. Our yard went from a flat level place to a motocross track with all the hills and valleys! Had we not spent hours filling and flattening there would have been no way to run a lawnmower over the grass when if finally grew back. All of this extra work was in place to save about $1500 from the next best quote.

They showed up promptly as scheduled, the work was done safely, efficiently and completely. I like that it's a family owned business and it was Carlos's daughter who gave the estimate and answered my phone call. The only negative is that they left deep divots in the lawn where logs hit the ground, or equipment dug in. It will make mowing a challenge unless I get out with a shovel and rake (and I'm an 80 year old woman!). But I am willing to use them again because their prices are the best, and they're very nice to deal with.
