They have my favorite pastries for $5 a box (3 pastries each). My Dad usually gets them for me. But today I came to check it out myself. (I'm not usually a sweets person, but this one became addictive instantly for me)
I thought it was just a live poultry place, since that's what it says out front in Chinese. But they carry a decent amount of dried goods, drinks, and prepackaged snacks, besides instant cup noodles too. It's like a quick grab for things and that's not bad if you're shopping for one.
Aforementioned, they carry one of my favorite pastries.... which has a weird and horribly translated name for English; so I'll pass on the bad name.
It's super flakey, and inside has this sweet and savory filling. It does get my fingers a little oily when I'm done. But once I start, I usually end up eating at least two in one sitting.
Their zip lock bag packaged dried squid was pretty awesome too. I bought a bag to try, besides the round dried fish ones. read more
