This review is only for the cobbler experience I had (not for dry cleaning). In April, I took my…read more20-year old red patent leather pumps to get new soles because the old ones were crumbling off. I chose to go here because of the good cobbler reviews and the location was convenient. I picked them up 5 days later and when I got home saw that significant damage had been done to the uppers of my shoes and the soles that had been applied were already coming off and were smeared onto the bottom of the shoe. Even the heel caps were unsecured. The damage to my shoes had been covered in red shoe polish, which came off when I touched it. I was devastated. These shoes were a gift from my husband early in our relationship and are my favorite. They are not replaceable and have high sentimental value. I called the store and they did acknowledge that they knew something had happened to the shoes, but didn't tell me. They gave me the cobbler's information and I left him a message. When we talked on the phone he said he had sanded the upper because it had gotten some of the old sole on it and then covered it up with the polish. He said he could make it right. I went back to the store and talked to the cobbler in person. At this point, I didn't have a lot of trust in his judgment given that he didn't fix the original damage when it happened and didn't tell me what had happened. After a bit of back and forth, I asked for a refund. He said the owner would cut me a check. I also asked for compensation for fixing and/or replacing my shoes, but he insisted he could fix it. Given the lack of judgment and lack of honesty and accountability, I refused. I had to follow up with The Cleaners twice about the refund check only to find out that they had directly credited my original form of payment, but no one communicated with me about any of it. I ended up taking the damaged shoes to Dardano's in the hopes that they could repair the damage and they were amazing. I should have gone there in the first place (they were appalled at what had happened to my shoes). I cannot recommend Frank the cobbler here at The Cleaners and suggest extreme caution depending on what you need.

I don't usually write reviews, but this experience was extremely frustrating. My fiancé has a…read morecustom-made suit that cost nearly $1,000. A few weeks after taking the suit to the cleaner, we discovered pen markings with my first and last name on a custom tag inside the jacket and the same pen marks inside the pants. When I brought the suit back to the cleaner, I was told, "We put everyone's names inside their clothing because we handle a lot of garments." While I understand their intention to prevent mix-ups, they did not ask for my permission before marking the suit. They eventually removed all the pen marks, but the process was far more troublesome than necessary. If you have sentimental, custom, or expensive clothing, I highly recommend choosing a different dry cleaner.

I have no idea what the deal was, but the drying of these rugs tooks hours and hours and hours. These two gals came over to help me over and over. By the end of the day I was beat and they would just voluntarily come and help unroll them. I very nearly opened and closed right along with them and they were there every step of the way to help and guide. I was so fatigued at the end of the day and I can honestly say without these two girls helping I have no idea how I would have gotten them done. They were absolutely sacrificial that day. Helpful. Helped me move the heavy wet rugs. Just above and beyond. As far as the facility. I did go to their sister house after for a quick load maybe a month later. Machine was sour and my clothes smelled after. So I returned here. Always clean. Always friendly. No odors from the washers. Love this little treasure. Thank you from the bottom of my heart for helping me that day! You restored my faith in humanity, girls!
