Best hole in the wall in plainview for lunch. I got the choose two combo and got the smoky jack sandwich which I highly recommend with the baked potato soup. Probably my favorite coffee shop I've ever been to. I love this place, the furniture is funky and mismatched, it's colorful with big windows and outdoor seating and it is in the heart of Plainview. The owners are super nice and the coffee is really good. I haven't gotten anything fancy, just regular coffee and it's good and strong. Anytime I'm in west Texas this is a must for me. read more

This is a nice little coffee shop in the heart of Plainview. The espresso drinks are very flavorful and they also offer some nice salads, sandwiches and baked treats. During the warm months there is a nice little outdoor patio to take advantage of. Service was friendly and accommodating. I look forward to my next visit. read more

Very surprised to see this coffee shop with patio and a full scale lunch counter modeled from old-school diner in Plainview - I would expect Starbucks or other chain coffee place than to find this kind of place here. Service is a bit slow since there's a single barista manning the register and making the coffee, but the white chocolate latte was definitely worth the wait. Bold with enough hint of sweetness. Excellent Expresso drinks that are not bitter tasting plus some unique offerings like the Hatch Latte. It has a diner feel to it since it used to be a diner and serves lunch as well. It also has a separate reading room where no talking is allowed, although that isn't enforced. There is also featured some interesting history about the diner and the movie that was shot in Plainview in the hallway near the bathroom. It has a large outdoor patio, but unfortunately I have only visited it in the cooler months and haven't taken advantage of it. read more

This is my favorite stop whenever I visit Plainview. The Brew provides a very relaxing atmosphere, and serves as a regular spot for a variety of people. I'm pretty sure most of the staff are students at Wayland and are usually very polite. The coffee is fantastic and all the baristas are trained to make a decorative foam design on the top. Great find on the lonely highway between Amarillo and Austin. Stopped in for a caffeine boost and was pleasantly surprised to get a well-made dirty chai. Bonus was the "distinguished pig" kolache made from a local pig farmer. Will look forward to passing through Plainview again in the future and enjoying more time here. read more

My wife and I were referred here, with some high praise. Came in with high hopes for a good experience and couldn't have been more disappointed. Service was slow and sub-par (luckily not unkind) we didn't finish a single thing we were served all the food was bad and hard to eat. Flies all over the place, and terrible parking. The only redeeming quality was he bottled water and bag of potato chips served with my wife's pre-made and soggy sandwich. Utterly disappointing. read more

Great atmosphere, good food, and live music! The coffee here is wonderful, and we've always gotten excellent service.

Plainview is my hometown, and on my occasional visits back there, I love to visit this place. The coffee is top notch and the atmosphere is great. It occupies the same Art Deco diner that was used in "Leap of Faith" with Steve Martin and Debra Winger. Oldtimers knew it as the Quick Lunch cafe, where you could get five cent hamburgers when I was growing up there in the 1950's. The owner has maintained much of that atmosphere, including original furnishings. There is a lively morning crowd of coffee drinkers but with the old booths for those who want a more private atmosphere. Free Wi-Fi is provided. read more
