However, unlike a lot of the stations in Adelaide, this one not only has a decent sized shelter, but it also has a bus interchange. Though, I should suggest that it is not the best idea to get off the train here, unless you really have to.

They have certainly pumped an awful lot of money into the railway stations, despite the fact that it literally looks like it is located in the middle of the country. Then again, a part of me really shouldn't be all that surprised.

There are lots and lots of things said about this railway station, and not many of them all that…read morenice either. However, I have seen this place change countless times, particularly since they knocked down the old station building top put through a goods line. However, it is also a major interchange, which used to be a park, eons ago. However, while the station is supposed to be staffed, I haven't seen any staff there in ages either.

I guess coming from Melbourne leaves me wondering why they haven't ripped up all of the tracks, though it is probably a good thing they didn't. So, as mentioned, this place is basically a shelter, and that is it, though trains do stop here rather irregularly. However, the subway has some pretty interesting artwork.

I guess that is a bit of a shame because it means that it is unlikely to be turned back into a railway station, but then again this is Adelaide and they really don't seem to like trains here. This station looks rather empty, or it was when I was growing up, but it seems as if the urban…read moresprawl is slowly catching up to it. So, like a lot of these stations, there is basically only a platform, and a rather small shelter, possibly because who ever originally built it never quite expected all that many people needed to use it, or that it rarely ever rained. Anyway, there really isn't much here, nor any reason to get off the train here, unless you need to visit somebody in the area.

The station is steps from the cruise ship terminal. We exited the large terminal, followed the…read moresigns to the station down the escalator & outside. One window was open & the line was very long, we were told that we can purchase our tickets when we exit. We walked over and took a :45 train to downtown Adelaide. Trains came every :30 until midnight when rail service stops. We bought our tickets in the main station before we left. We passed 21 stations before arriving at the main Adelaide, coming back this is the last stop.

It is a real shame that the removed the Northfield line years because that would have been quite…read morehandy for the people that happen to live up in Northfield. Anyway, all that we seem to have left is this station that basically happens to be located in the middle of an industrial area, though since they have recently built the stabling yards here, it probably does mean that the people who work here can actually catch a train home. Look, the station is pretty tacky though, and probably doesn't have much in the way of usage, considering its location, but hey, at least there is a station here.
