This place was near where I'm staying and I had a need so I ventured out. Admittedly, I haven't…read morebeen to a laundromat in quite a few years nor have I been to any others in this area so I don't know much in terms of comparison but here's what I do know. They're open 7:00am -10:00pm every day of the week. I did both a drop off the day before and washed a load myself one Thursday afternoon. There were only a few people coming and going while I was there but I was told by another customer that they are absolutely packed on weekends so I will plan accordingly if I need to go back. The same customer told me they had the best prices in town. Also worth noting - neither the drop off service or machines accept credit cards; cash only but they do have a change machine on site. The young lady working was extremely pleasant, answered all my questions and even made recommendations on which machines to use (they have 3 different sizes). The facility was relatively clean, the floors had a fair amount of lint but the machines themselves looked pristine. The attendant did vacuum while I was there. There are a few seats inside and more outside. No air conditioning but enough fans going to keep it tolerable on a hot July afternoon. Laundry came out fine...paid $4 for the load I did myself and it took just under an hour for the whole process. Was just under $14 for the load I dropped off and the folding was outstanding! But this Cudney's certainly impressed me. It was brightly lit and warm, and for a self-service laundromat, it was also very clean and well maintained. My mom has been to other laundromats in the area (beyond the Cudney's cleaners), and she likes this site much better - very few machines out of order (and when they are, they're marked), and she's never had a problem with close smelling off after being washed here (she has at others). It does seem to me that for a laundromat of this size, there weren't enough chairs for customers to sit. Also, I was not aware of a bathroom on site. I guess you have to walk next door to Stewart's?

Plus, when you select a drier time/cost, it tells you how long your clothes will dry for, before you pay. The only slight con is the app's minimum amount is $10.00, but other than that, it's a great, quiet, little laundromat. Example from the Speed Queen app for how the dryers are: Large dryers: $1.25 = 24 minutes, $1.50 = 29 minutes... etc. Small dryers: 50¢ = 10 minutes, 75¢ = 15 minutes, $1 = 20 minutes, $1.25 = 25 minutes, $1.50 = 30 minutes... etc. There's also vending machines on the wall near the door that dispense soap and plastic laundry bags for a few quarters.

It's small but serviceable. I imagine it could get busy easily as there aren't many washers/dryers (see pics - that's the ENTIRE place). But when I came in there was only 1 other person. Quiet, A/C was working, clean, free wifi, and units all seemed to work. You can use either credit card thru the Speed Queen app or coins. FYI - the change machine gives quarters AND DOLLAR COINS. The machine takes them in a separate slot so you can get rid of those puppies on the spot. The prices are a little high, but so is everything now, so . There's no attendant, no TV, no restrooms, and no snack/entertainment machines. So, it's beautifully quiet, clean, and functional, but you need to bring your own entertainment & vittles. NOTE: It looks like it's part of the apartments next door, but isn't. Easy to drive by on accident.

The laundromat completely ruined them with both the length being shrunk and as a result the texture being ruined on all 4 panels. Their official store receipt explicitly states they will pay "up to 10x the cost of service" for damage, which equals $640. The actual replacement cost for my drapes was less. Despite their own written policy covering this full amount, they refuse to pay the amount to replace. The staff when I went in person said it shouldn't be a problem to get fully refunded. Now after numerous calls over the past few weeks, the manager of the organization will not reach out to me and is using his team to act as the in-between. They also admitted that no one even knows who monitors or accesses their company email inbox, making communication impossible. Because this business does not care about making things right and treating their customers fairly by honoring their written guarantees, I have officially filed formal complaints with the New York State Attorney General's Office and the Division of Consumer Protection. Beware of doing business here if you value your textiles. Please see the before and after photos to make your own judgement.

They typically send out coupons to my email each month that can save some bucks, which I appreciate since dry cleaning and pressing services aren't cheap. They offer a nice range of services and I love being able to both drop off and pickup my items anytime day or night with their convenient automated system. The times that I've interacted with the staff there had always been very positive too. After trying several other area dry cleaning businesses when I first moved to the area, this place quickly became the one I have stuck with for the past several years.
