the heart of Midtown Manhattan, Broad Nosh Bagels is exactly what a New York bagel shop should be -- bustling, aromatic, and unapologetically generous. From the moment you walk in, the air smells like fresh-baked dough and roasted coffee, setting the perfect tone for a classic New York breakfast. Let's start with the standout: the Sesame Bagel with Lox and Cream Cheese. The sesame bagel is perfection -- lightly crisp on the outside, soft and chewy inside, with that signature New York bite that only comes from a proper boil-and-bake. The toasted sesame seeds add just the right nutty aroma. Layered with silky lox and a thick spread of smooth cream cheese, every bite is a balance of texture and flavor -- salty, rich, and impossibly fresh. The lox itself is vibrant and tender, and you can taste the quality. It's a timeless pairing done exactly right. And don't skip the Potato Latke. Golden brown, crispy on the edges, and fluffy in the middle, it's the kind of comfort food that feels homemade yet perfectly executed. A touch of sour cream or applesauce on the side makes it shine even more. It's the hidden gem of the menu -- a crispy, savory bite that rounds out the bagel experience beautifully. Service at Broad Nosh is quick, friendly, and efficient -- even when the line stretches out the door. It's the kind of place where you feel the rhythm of the city: everyone in motion, but the food always made with care.

This place has gotten better since I last tried. I don't love their sweet bagels but their savory is great. The Asiago bagel with the bacon spicy cream cheese was freaking amazing. The bagels are big and crunchy after being toasted.

Bagel was pretty good but the salmon was way too salty. The black and white cookie was ok. Overall just an ok spot for a lox bagel sandwich.

Excited to try this place, but ordered a Nova Sandwich to take to Central Park. Opened it up and saw there was no Nova! $18 for no nova a bit wild and disappointing. Also, sesame bagel was not toasted on the other bagel order as requested. Won't be coming back :(

The Broad Nosh Special (somehow eating it was even messier than the photo would indicate)
Rob M.

Good and messy in basically every sense. The bagels are fresh, soft and delicious. But the lines (on a weekend morning at least) are chaotically long and slow. My Broad Nosh Special (avocado, egg, cream cheese and micro greens) was tasty but also a cream cheese catastrophe in my hands. I would not recommend eating on the way to your niece's baptism, for instance. Still, it was good enough to be worth the 30 minute wait. But you should know ahead of time that a quick bite this is not.

SO yummy!!

I recently discovered this eatery, since it's close to one of the places where I work. Here's my reaction to it: Excellent and polite service! Caring and gentle employees! Delicious and affordable food! Got their lunch special twice in a row (with scallion cream cheese and added onions), and it was delightful. This is a busy place at lunchtime, but their staff members keep their smiles wide and their vibes high. Love it, and plan to return. : ) Thanks, all! Peace & Love, Kat

Some of the best bagels I've had in the city! You can really taste the quality. The staff were efficient and friendly despite the crowd. A true NYC gem!

Strawberry Cream Cheese

Wildly underwhelming experience. My order of a plain bagel with extra strawberry cream cheese came out to $7.89 post tax--eyebrow raise, but I kept on trucking: Pros: - Open late, one of few places in the vicinity able to service a bagel craving at 4PM - "Extra" cream cheese exceeded expectations, close to 1/2c on a single bagel Cons: - Extra cream cheese would be a perk if it weren't borderline inedible. Oddly fluorescent pink color without any discernible flecks of strawberry present. Flavor profile was standard whipped cream cheese + an overwhelming aftertaste of red-40 - The bagel itself was subpar as well. Dense & gummy texture, akin to undercooked pastry dough

2nd bagel ever that I had in NY, and it was better priced and more delicious than the first! The bagel wasn't so hard to bite and the amount of smoked salmon was just right. It was pretty crowded when I went, but the service isn't too bad. Ended up asking to share a table because of how busy they were. Not a whole lot of seating.

Jalapeño cheddar bagel with jalapeño cream cheese
Dhriti N.

This was a SOLID bagel with a mouth watering cream cheese. The bagel was very soft and fluffy. The crispy cheddar on the bagel was DELICIOUS! The jalapeño cream cheese honestly stole the show. It was not too strong but it wonderfully flavorful. It was zesty and had these jalapeño bits that added a lovely crunch. They did not skimp on the amount of cream cheese which was great. The service was very quick and the servers were SUPER sweet!

Food was delicious. Bagels were made quickly. Coffee was strong and hot. Staff was kind of rude, but I guess it may be a NY thing. My husband understands Spanish more and I asked one of the staff members if he spoke Spanish. Guy just turned to person next to him and mumbled something and laughed. He clearly spoke Spanish, like we Mexicans say, "Se le mira el nopal en la frente." IDK maybe they are not allowed to speak a foreign language. Other than that, cashier was super helpful and friendly. Kudos to her!

Simply delicious, period. Nice staff, but super busy. Ambiance is typical of a New York City bagel shop.

They only seed one side of a bagel. Tal seeds both sides. Also Tal's bagels are not as sweet.

This time we got the lox bagel with scallion lox cream cheese spread, bacon egg and cheese on everything bagel, and onion bagel with chipotle scallion cream cheese. The lox bagel had so much smoked salmon which was great. My favorite, however, is still the chipotle scallion cream cheese spread. By far my favorite and just getting cream cheese makes the bagel pretty cheap compared to those sandwiches. Strongly recommend!!

The bagel was nice and fresh. Doughy on the inside and crispy on the outside. I'm giving 4 stars because there was a bit too much cream cheese for my liking and I had to try to wipe some of it off. I ordered ahead on the Doordash app so it was ready when I arrived but there was no option to add a note for light cream cheese. I didn't spend too much time inside but I noticed there was plenty of seating. There were a ton of different spreads in the case and the menus on TV screens had a decent amount of options for salads, sandwiches, and breakfast platters. Plain Bagel with Cream Cheese: 4/5

FOOD: We ordered a bag of 3 bagels-- everything, poppy seed & salt. The bagels were cute, medium sized and served warm/hot. We chose the scallion cream cheese which came in a lil container. Apparently the bagels are not made in the traditional manner, but they were still delicious with great texture and taste. We also ordered the tea (ok) and strawberry lemonade (yum). We enjoyed our bagels on the little countertop area outside. OVERALL: Definitely recommend! A different bagel experience than some other places (as in, those places where you are served bagels topped with cream cheese and other things) but we enjoyed the simplicity of the bagels and controlling the amount of cream cheese.
