We hiked this trail for the first time today. There are several access points, but we parked behind the Health Dept on Truman Parkway and started there. It is a nice woodsy trail. It is better for walking than running, due to the number of tree roots. The trail meanders along for a while at a higher level, past the library administration building, then the last part descends quickly down to the creek and a beautiful marsh. We saw what looked like a beaver lodge down in the marsh. The part of the trail we hiked was well marked with red blazes. There is more that we did not see, apparently including a lake, so we will go again and start in the other direction to explore the rest. read more
