There was outdoor seating that was wonderful for this hot evening, but there is a bit of a wait to get that seating. It is an umbrella covered seating area with a candle on the table, giving a romantic or cozy feeling. The service was nice but busy as expected. The server had a nice approach, but I felt like I was being sold items that the server first said she did t care for, but as I selected the item, she then said it was a great choice and that she liked it. I'm never really interested in the likes or dislikes of the server, but their description of dishes and answers to questions about ingredients or items on a dish on invaluable. I had the spicy fried chicken sandwich with a salad. The chicken breast was perfectly prepared with a nice crunch. It was served on a brioche bun. I had sharp cheddar cheese with the usual burger toppings. I am now appreciating that spicy, according to the palates of European - associated community, is not the same as it would be in some Latin, Thai, or Black/African communities. I love moderate to high heat and spice. What is considered "very spicy and hot", to my palate, was mild and tasty. That being said, it was a tasty burger and the salad was fine. We did not order dessert given how busy it was and we were tired from a long day. I would recommend this place to eat as a bit of an upscale bar food place. I would recommend that the chefs learn how to adjust the heat and spice for those of us believing the menu when it says hot and spicy*** as server for increased heat and spice.

I have been to Marzano several times in the past and had excellent experiences this time it was…read moreokay. The crust on the prosciutto pizza was soft like a pillow and the tomato sauce was fresh and full of flavour. However, the pizza arrived cold at the table. Cavatelli Frutti di Mare had a rich flavour where you could taste the lobster oil that was used in a way that did not make the dish too fishy. One downside the pasta was undercooked. The cracklin chicken was the dish of envy tonight. The chicken was moist and flavourful with the skin having a snappy crust to it. Served with risotto. Marzano usually has excellent service, but this go round it was lack lustre. The restaurant was not super busy and plenty of staff were on but not very attentive. We waited over 15 minutes after we were seated before someone came to the table to greet us. Nonetheless the restaurant offers a great atmosphere that is cozy, clean and clearly well thought out in aesthetic design.

Marzano clearly puts intention behind what they do, drawing inspiration from traditional Neapolitan techniques and a focus on high-quality, simple ingredients, and that care shows up on the menu. From an accessibility standpoint, this was one of the easier Italian meals I've had while eating GF. Gluten-free options were clearly labeled, including modification notes, which made ordering straightforward. Nearly all pizzas and pastas could be made gluten free, aside from specialty pastas like the gnocchi and lasagna. They also had a gluten-free focaccia available as an appetizer, which had an excellent texture. The appetizers were a standout. We shared the gnocchi and burrata and both were delicious. Pizza got great feedback from the table overall, though a couple slices were slightly undercooked in the center and flopped when picked up. I ordered the sirloin, which was okay, though not my favorite part of the meal. Service was excellent. Our server was attentive and thoughtful, offering a soup sample to our 90-year-old guest who was unsure about the daily option, and kindly helped wrangle us for a group photo during a busy dinner hour, which I really appreciated. The interior is gorgeous--modern, warm, and very well maintained. Even though Marzano opened in 2018, it feels much newer. I debated between a 4 and 5 star review due to my entrée and the pizza texture, but the intention is clearly there, and the overall experience was strong. I'd absolutely come back and would love to try more of the menu next time.

It could have been a great weekend at this beautiful town of Nelson. It was our first time to…read morevisit. We went to this restaurant to wrap up our weekend with supposedly a good breakfast. But the server who has tattoos seems to be unapologetic and impatient with my child with special needs. I was trying to minimize her episode of stimming. My child was lying on the floor beside our table. I was keeping an eye on her to avoid any accident. She could have been compassionate but started a scene instead of helping to suppressed what could have been a more controllable situation. I was told "if you want to run around, you and your daughter can go out. the hallway is big". My daughter wasn't even running. She was just calmly lying on the floor. We decided to leave quietly without finishing our food, paid full price. We were not raised to act in an unprofessional manner just like what this nasty lady did to us. No parent or child should be embarrased in public by people who lacks compassion. It's not an excuse she doesn't know my child situation. Kids will always be kids, regardless if they are normal or not. She should not be in this kind of business! She doesn't know how to take good care of your guests! The lady who actually welcomed and served us, with beautiful wavy hair was very nice. You should hire more like her instead of that other lady. You have a nice restaurant. Having genuinely kind workers will be more helpful to your business as their attitude reflects your mission and vision.

Person who shared pizza with me agreed. Someone else across from me ordered a Wrap & said that too was tasteless, only ate half. There was even a comment about the yam fries being tasteless as well. If you are going to charge high prices for food, you should make it tasty & a good bang for the buck. This was absolutely terrible eats. I won' t be back anytime soon. As comparable on my last visit to area, I had a LARGE Greek Pizza vs your Small/Med, from Boston Pizza & it was loaded & I mean loaded with Greek toppings for around $30.. and it was to die for delicious. There is no excuse for poor food, get a better cook or train the one you have better or you will loose customers that come for eats vs just the beer. Waitress was Nice though.
