The staff is very friendly and accommodating. While perusing the store today and grabbing items to try on, three separate associates approached me to offer a fitting room and grab the items off my hands. Mind you, this is a Saturday too. Additionally, I find that the sales section is well organized by size and actually has some good offerings / not just completely off-season undesirables. "Hi i was just checking if you guys were open today?" she responded with "mmhmm" and straight up hung up on me. I went anyway because i was in the area and live out of town. When I went into the store neither employee greeted me and the store had racks everywhere you could barely get around , I've never seen it such a mess in all the years I have shopped here. I stood at the register for over 5 minutes and was being ignored I finally yelled out "can I please be helped?" The employee walked over to me totally annoyed and said "what do you need help with?" I told her i needed to exchange for a smaller size and she said "well did you want to find the items?" I said " you don't have them which is why I would like to order them" she was so rude and unhelpful. I came in to exchange item from a previous in store purchase my sales person was chaz they were extremely helpful and their customer service was amazing. I asked the employee if we could order online because i used $80 of rewards and my torrid cash. When ordering she said i had to pay more because it's online , I've shopped at many other locations and know that it can be overridden. She refused to do it so I said then I will just return everything then Im not gonna pay more for what I already purchased. I lost out on money because of the rewards i used but i don't even care I will never spend another dime at this location which is unfortunate because it's the only location in this area so I probably will never shop this brand again. Once i did the return and went to my car i checked to receipt and guess who the employee was? Deborah. She is the blondish one with glasses and short hair very rude. I've been in here before where she was trash talking other employees and the district manager she obviously hates her job and her whole attitude shows it. Makes it so unpleasant for customers , I've never met someone in customer service who is so rude.

It was located in a complex with other stores such as Cost Plus. The Nordstrom Rack interior was modern, clean and organized. A lot of square footage too. It had a large inventory. Good luck. This is a small but immaculate store. It's bright, modern, comfortable with the stock laid out in a logical and pleasing manner. There are private dressing rooms and strategically placed mirrors to check out your look. They carry blouses, pants, skirts and a limited selection of dresses. They carry a lot of items from designers such as Eileen Fisher, Lilla P, Dl1961, Bailey44, Pete, Frank and Eileen, Tolani,Driftwood, BBelts amongst other things. The owners have a keen eye for color and you can look really good coming out of this spot. The owners are in and about the place every day. Being able to speak directly with the owner adds a nice personal touch. While they do carry a bigger variety of sizing then the stereotypical size zero model if you fall outside of the near normal size range, your choices may be limited. Pricing isn't super elite premium (the sales here offer some real bargains in particular) but this is not a bargain fast fashion spot. It's very close to the kind of shop where if you have to ask what the prices are, then you shouldn't be in there. This is an all women's shop so if you are not the type to patiently wait while your spouse puts on minor fashion show there are a couple of coffee shops close by, along with some pubs just in case it helps you out. All in all this is a shop that can make you look really really great.

I happen to search for some sneakers for my wife that at least had some purple in the coloration, and some clearance ones showed up at this local store. I turned up about an hour before closing and not one, but two kind salespersons helped me search the store. We went thru most of the clearance racks, and the sneaker sections, and at first found nothing. For some reason, the sneakers were displayed no where near where they normally should be. While it took awhile, they were a bargain, and my wife loved them, and I got two pairs. They were New Balance brand which also had nice thick comfy soles. If one wants discount sneakers at outlet prices, this is far better than driving to the Oxnard Outlet area. In addition, they did honor giving a new customer discount, thus saving even more.

This review is mostly a criticism of DSW as a whole. I visited this particular location a week and…read morea half ago. DSW advertised "25% off almost everything." After trying on several pairs of shoes, I brought two pairs to the front with the intention of purchasing one of them. They were different brands, so I figured it was pretty likely that at least one qualified in the 25% sale. The employee working that day (at least the only one I saw or spoke to) let me know neither one qualified and freely admitted that the "almost everything" was really not accurate, pointing to just a couple of sections where there were shoes on sale. Thanks for false advertising, DSW. Beyond this bad start, the shoes I selected from the clearance section (which, mind you, were not inherently outside of the 25% off sale) had a purple sticker, indicating they were 30% off the price listed on the box, which said $63.99 (see photo). When I went to check out, I learned this was a mistake -- the shoes rung up at $84.98. Finally, I have donated shoes many times and had accumulated $35 in rewards prior to this visit. Instead of being able to use all of this credit towards my purchase, I was only permitted to use three rewards at a time -- even though they are tiny ($5) and have expiration dates. This was a first for me, and while I briefly asked for clarification, I did not feel like getting into an argument with a store employee. This experience was a disappointing one. Truth be told, my last few visits at DSW locations in the Bay Area have not been good. I think the business is simply going downhill.
