Fantastic! We've been here five times. The staff is friendly and competent. Dr.Britto is kind and has a great bedside manner. She was silly and patient with my daughter. My daughter loves the free mini-toy at the end, and I like that they have entertainment in the waiting room. This past visit I was very impressed with the staff member Sara. My daughter was having a hard time staying calm during a routine procedure and Sara was very understanding and patient. She performed the procedure quickly and skillfully and cheerfully reassured my daughter the whole time. Thank you Sara!!! We really appreciate you doing an A+ job. I regret choosing this dentist--my experience was extremely unpleasant from start to finish. She was not a nice person at all and made me feel uncomfortable the entire time. Her attitude was rude, dismissive, and honestly unprofessional, which is the last thing you want when you're trusting someone with your health. On top of that, the treatment plan she put together didn't work, and there was no effort to address the issue or make things right. It felt like there was a lack of care and concern for patients overall. I strongly suggest staying clear of her. There are plenty of dentists who are kind, respectful, and actually provide effective care--this was not one of them. read more

I have been going to dr Britto for 10 years. over the years I have seen a decline in satisfaction. starting with the front desk staff. they used to have lovely ladies at the desk that was welcoming and friendly. now I can't say the same.,especially the woman name Anglea. she is not welcoming in fact makes you feel that she would rather you not soeak to her that she can't be bothered by you. staff in the back had to follow me to the front to insure that she gave prize tokens to my child while saying she don't like to give them out for some reason. I have also seen her talk about other people that had appointments to other staff members. I find that very unprofessiona and just down right wrong. just wanted to share some insight. read more

My wife and I have been taking our son here, and the entire staff is AMAZING. We had to have a procedure done on our 7 month old son that was intimidating for us as parents, and the experience was so much easier due to the impeccable bedside manner of Dr. Britto and her op assistant who I cannot remember her name but she was wonderful. Dr. Britto is the most amazing pediatric dentist in the state of Virginia, bar none. I commend Dr. Mala Britto for running such an excellent office and having the best and brightest young people to assist her in the clinic and at the front desk!! Farnaz, Katherine, Pranoy, and Areli are kind and endearing, and above all they get it done! They do their job above and beyond and make us feel valued. Additionally, though we did not have an appointment scheduled with Dr. Ivan, he surprised us by taking the time to say hello and converse with me to know how everything went. Both Dr. Ivan and Dr. Mala are true professionals who value the relationships, trust, and quality of care above all else. Grab some popcorn because this will be a long one: My son is 8 months old. We have been struggling with sleep, waking up over 5 times a night for 8 months. I told the pediatrician that I believed he had a tongue tie because he always breathes through his mouth and nursing hurt a lot. They just dismissed my concerns despite me bringing it up multiple times. Once he was cleared to start solids, it was a constant battle because he hated food and would gag a lot. The first time we went to Dr. Britto, she immediately noticed that he had both a tongue tie AND a lip tie! The procedure took all of 5 minutes and it was over. Dr. Britto was very accommodating the whole time, she even nummed the area and had a nice swaddle so that my baby could feel comforted. Her water laser machine made it so that the wound cauterized immediately which promotes healing. After the procedure, they gave us a private space where I could nurse my baby until he felt better. I immediately noticed a difference with nursing. She came to check on us after a while to make sure everything was ok and took the time to carefully explain the follow-up excersises we needed to do for him at home. The first 2 days and nights were hard because my son was still healing and a bit sore, we gave him Tylenol twice a day until he seemed over it. After those 2 days, our lives changed for the better. It was amazing!! Nursing was so much better and he stopped gagging/choking with nursing. He took to eating solids enthusiastically! He is able to have 3 solid meals a day and he loves it. Now he sleeps for about 12 hours waking only once or twice to nurse and falls back asleep quickly. He takes longer naps that last about 2 hours now! This has made a huge difference in his disposition because he is well rested and happier! I cannot believe how much this simple 5-minute procedure has already improved my son's quality of life. I will be forever grateful to Dr. Britto for changing our lives!! Thank you!! read more

After my bad review back in 2014 everything has been very good. Everything got fixed and we really haven't had any issues ever since.

I used to take my daughter to this dentistry. The front staff was nice. However, the Dr. was not at all. During one of my daughters check ups, I remember her being so rough with my daughter; basically jamming the mirror into her small mouth, then rushing her to take an x-ray because her office was behind on appointments. After realizing how she treated my daughter and I, I never came back. There are great doctors out there and I wasn't going to continue wasting my time or having anyone treat my daughter as such. read more

This was my two year old son's first time at the dentist. Everything went smoothly. I called in advance to find out approximately how long the appointment would be, and if they were running late. The lady I talked to was very helpful, and offered to call me back if they were running late (they were currently on time). I declined but appreciated the offer. We were seen right as I finished up the first-time patient paperwork. I didn't watch the clock, but it seemed like a normal wait (~10-15min), especially for a 5pm appointment. My son gave the hygienist a hard time, so after several attempts to clean his teeth she said we'd wait for Dr. Britto. She was very sweet and patient with him, despite his lack of cooperation, and reassured me it was normal, and in fact, he was doing better than some older kids. I appreciated that as I thought was son was being a bit of a pill! Dr. Britto was great with him. Between her and my husband, she was able to clean my son's teeth, floss, and examine him with no tears! There were other kids who cried while we were there, but I thought the staff was doing the best you could expect and being as efficient as possible. We will be coming back! I only gave 4 stars as I saw some billing complaints and I've yet to experience that one way or the other. read more

My children & I love love love Dr. Britto! Her and her staff are amazing, my husband & I were highly impressed with our first visit & our many others visits after that. Dr. Britto & her staff are truly the best children's dentistry around. They are kind & gentle with the wee ones and actually don't mind the parents going in with their child. (I've noticed so many dental offices do not let the parent or guardian go in with the little ones.) Plus they have tons of fun stuffed animals for your little ones to play with, which helps make your little ones feel safe. And they get to pick out fun prizes when their appointment is all finished up. So it makes the experience that more enjoyable for the little ones. Again, Dr. Britto & her staff are awesome. My children look forward to their dentist visits. We actually have an appointment coming up soon & my oldest is counting down the days until her visit. Yes, she truly is that excited. read more

We have seen Dr. Britto and her team twice so far. She is patient and very knowledgeable. Doubt we would find anyone better. The wait time seems to be very short and I have had nothing but pleasant interactions with the front office and the hygienists. We drive 30+ minutes to go here and would not look for anyone else. read more

Staff turns the phones off during business hours to accommodate their social interactions. Records are incomplete and inaccurate. I asked for my xrays today and only received bite wings. I know a panoramic xray was completed on 1/20/16 where is it a 1.5 weeks later? Dr is short on interactions and makes you feel like you should be on your way out. I don't want to feel rushed when why child has an unusual circumstance. read more

Just AWESOME. Dr. Britto and her team are FANTASTIC! My boys have been going to her for 7 years (one very needle-phobic and the other who doesn't like saliva just sensitive all around) and we drive quite a distance to see her and her great team. She is so good with the kids, as are her hygenists, who somehow remember my kids and are so kind and sweet. They run a well oiled machine in there and manage to always stay on time but never make you feel "rushed". Sidenote: Her brother runs an orthodontist practice next door if you ever have those needs. I can highly recommend Dr. Britto and her very professional team! (We have seen her in both the Chantilly and the Woodbridge offices). read more

However today we had an appointment at 10:50am schedule 2 months in advance,( we are busy parents and had to take a day off to schedule multiple appointments as the majority of us.) at around 12 NOON they called our name!!!. I used this practice for my children but every time their is some or the other issue. You will always end up having a billing issues with her.Also if you go late they will still take you in but they will finish with your work in 5 mins so they can get their money out no matter what quality work they perform.. i am not kidding ..i experienced this. on top of that her staff has been nothing short of disappointing, rude, unprofessional and most times have no experience with billing, benefits, or insurance practices and procedures. After mentioning also that you don't want a fluoride treatment as it is not covered by most insurances they will end up doing this & you will get hit by bill. I changed my doctor & will highly recommend not to use this practice. read more

Her office is nice and she keeps the office and her equipment up to date. We are military and have had dentists all over the country. She is by far the best pediatric dentist that we have had. I've taken my children here for several years. Dr. Britto has always been caring, knowledgeable, helpful and my kids love her. Unfortunately her staff has been nothing short of disappointing, rude, unprofessional and most times have no experience with billing, benefits, or insurance practices and procedures. Today they used the last bit of tolerance I had left for incompetence! In a last ditch effort to resolve a myriad of billing issues, promises to "fix" things, promises of call backs, and to get answers for questions about what was being billed, etc. I'm choosing to take my kids to another practice. It became most apparent to me as the admin person was popping her gum in my face, and running back and forth to get answers to my questions from the person who calls herself the Office Manager. While Brenda sat in her office instead of coming out to address my concerns directly it was clear to me that there was a lot more wrong here than I previously gave them credit for! Instead of being concerned that they were loosing two clients, the inexperienced admin person made sure I knew, in between popping her gum, that my $58 bill would be sent to collections if I did not pay it! (Which I never said I wasn't going to pay!) I simply wanted to know what and why I was being charged for something that took 5 minutes to look at! That issue is only a fraction of the issues I have had with this practice. I put up with the gradually diminishing lack of service, admin experience, compassion, knowledge, and poorly run office side of this practice for a good while now. If you have a high tolerance for these kinds of things then take your kids here! It's a shame that a good Dentists' reputation is being marred by a poorly run office, and a truly unprofessional admin staff. read more

Had an appointment at 4:20pm. We showed up early to fill out paperwork at 4pm. It is now 5pm and not a word from the staff. Our time apparently is not important to this practice. I am not sure how the work is but I am not pleased about getting here early and not even an apology or acknowledgment from the staff for waiting over 40 minutes. read more

My kids love the dentist thanks to Mala Britto and her team of amazing Dental Hygienists!!! They are so friendly and warm the kids feel like they are hanging out with their buddies!!! Pranoy has a way with kids - its his calling - he communicates really well with the kids and they feel very comfortable with him!! Seth and MaryAnn were also wonderful - great personalities and they, too have a way with making the children feel extremely calm and comfortable. My daughter is a patient with Dr. Britto and we are so pleased that we chose Dr. Britto as her orthodontist. He is very knowledgeable and enjoys what he is doing and makes sure he gives the best service possible to his patients. When he is with a patient he gives undivided attention to that patient and you never feel like you are rushed. Dr. Britto listens patiently to all our concerns and gives the best possible solution taking into account all the aspects of the treatment. My eldest daughter is about to come off the braces, we are thoroughly satisfied with the treatment. His whole team is so pleasant to deal with and very service- oriented. I would definitely recommend him to any of my friends. More than that, I will not have any second thoughts when the time comes for my younger one's treatment. We have been going to Dr. Britto's office for about ten years now. Dr. Britto and her dental assistants have been so caring and helpful with my children. However, her front desk receptionist needs to remember that her tone of voice reflects the atmosphere of the office she works in. I hope Dr. Britto understands that as well. When calling to set up an appointment for my two children there was a huge sigh and she got very annoyed and very short with me when I was asking for a late afternoon appointment so it would work into our schedules. Then when asked about a bill I had received, which I have the check that I paid the bill with that was processed back in September, she was nothing but rude. She put me on hold, got back on the phone to tell me that she had four receipts in her hand and none of them were mine. Basically, I didn't get your money, when I have a picture of the check from my bank statement and the date it was processed. Not one bit helpful at all! Very disappointed in the service I received today. So much that I am going to start looking for a new dentist for my kids. I don't need an attitude when I call their office. read more

My child took a good fall and broke her tooth on the cement sidewalk. Only being 2 years old she has never been to a dentist. I took her to Dr. Britto which they were not hesitant to take her in for an appointment right away, even as a new patient. The lady on the phone was super helpful and very friendly about getting the details and our information. When we walked in the door (as a walk in appointment) they all greeted us and knew exactly who we where (based off my little girls face wombs and the fact that they actually listen to my details regarding the fall). They were all very very friendly knowledgeable and WONDERFUL with my daughter. She was very corporative for them and I believe only because of their great experience in working with children and knowing how to get them to do what they needed her to do. Ivan the gentleman that took her X rays did AMAZING! Can you imagine trying to get dental x rays from a 2 year old? He did and they turned out great and it was a complete breeze. Stephanie at the reception desk was incredible with her service in finding out our insurance information and getting answers to ALL of my crazy and many questions. They were all wonderful for us and we had a great time in the office. Can't say that about many dentist offices!!!! We will defiantly continue to use this pediatric dentist for many years to come and I highly recommend them to family and friends. read more
