This dental office was one of the most disappointing experiences I've had. I often felt that my…read moreconcerns were not taken seriously and that the office was unprofessional.
Before my appointment, I called Diana for pricing information. At my first visit, the staff was friendly, and Dr. Mansour addressed my original concern before informing me that I also had a cavity. I asked to have it treated that day but was told to schedule another appointment. Before leaving, I asked about the cost of the denture reline and partial dentures, but the in-person price differed from what I had been told over the phone. That's already frustrating.
When I returned for the cavity treatment, I noticed afterward that the tooth appeared chipped, although it had not looked that way beforehand. I brought it to Dr. Mansour's attention, but she repeatedly said, "I don't know," and denied causing it. She made an adjustment, but the tooth remained uneven. She later showed me a photo indicating that the tooth had been thin trying to make a point that she didn't do anything. My concern was not the thinness of the tooth but it's chipped. I asked her if she can fix it and she said improving its appearance and the gap would cost an additional $160 because insurance would not cover it.
I also brought in my loose denture for adjustment. During a follow-up visit, while Dr. Mansour went to retrieve it, I overheard it being dropped on the floor twice and did not hear that it was cleaned. When it was returned, it was extremely tight, difficult to insert, and had black stains that were not there before. Again I asked her if she can fixed it, I was told she can't because she didn't have the tools and advised to wear it for a few days, but I returned after seeing its condition in daylight. It was eventually sent to another department for cleaning, they said they will try to put a solution to it to remove the black stains though it still had sharp, uneven areas. After further adjustments, it became loose again but tight enough that it would hold.
I was also charged $100 for the cleaning, even though I felt the denture had been returned in worse condition. I should not have to pay again for their mistake and poor work but I paid the fee anyways. I was just happy it was cleaned but decided not to continue with my remaining treatment and canceled my future procedures.
A few weeks later, I called about repairing the chipped tooth and gap which I was quoted before for $160, because it really bothers me and I thought of giving them another chance instead of going to a different clinic thinking it's only a very small Job, what else could go wrong this time. The person who answered the phone said she could not hear me, so I had to explain myself repetitively twice to 3x, she then took my phone number, and promised to call back, but never did and I don't think they would.
I got upset, but I had every reason to be. I paid for a service and received a denture with black stains that caused bleeding and pain in my gums for days and for her (the dentist itself) to dropped my denture twice and not even washed it after that,
Considering the situation, I think I was actually very nice and patient compared to how most people would be.
Overall, I was disappointed by the quality of care, communication, and professionalism. The clinic seemed unsanitary, and they do not care at all of their patients. I will be seeking a new dentist and would not recommend this office.
