Ms. Shae (Director) and Ms. Ann (Asst. Director) run the Child Development Center and do an excellent job. The teachers are highly qualified and truly love and care for the kids. They also remind us that they are a mini school NOT a daycare. This is evident in the way the children are learning and growing both academically and socially. The building is clean and smells clean, the teachers do a great job making the building and classrooms inviting. Everyone is professional and has a passion for working in Early Childcare. I would strongly encourage not to put your child here. I dealt with the unthinkable this week. My 4…read moremonth old baby came home with injuries from daycare. He had a gash on his elbow and a bruise on his ear. The next day I called the director and was told "the teacher noticed his elbow but not the bruise. He probably rolled in the crib and hit his head on the side". If a 4 month old was developmentally capable of rolling so hard as to bruise themselves, I'm sure there would have been a lot of crying. So someone should've noticed. Secondly, the parent should always be notified of any kind of injury. The director, Kim Smith, was very dismissive and acted like she didn't care at all. If this wasn't abuse, it was certainly neglect. After withdrawing my child, she implied it was somehow my fault for not inspecting my child there at pick up and notifying the teacher then. But per their policy (which I was not informed of when registering him), parents are not allowed in the classroom. You are made to stand at the door and then leave when your child is handed to you. The teacher did rudely confront me about this policy after I attempted to change my sons diaper. The reason behind this rule being germs on shoes, however all the employees walk from the parking lot straight into the room. So where was I supposed to inspect him at? I asked to see video footage from the room, and I was told there are no cameras (when their website clearly states they have cameras placed around the facility for safety). Not to mention the teachers would be sitting around talking and gossiping while multiple babies were crying. So please do not trust this daycare with your babies.

UPDATE Megan Morgan left a message on my daughter's phone as if I had not left a detailed message…read moredays before. My daughter then sent a detailed email that has recieved no response. It is now June. My baby is afraid of the pool. Sees other kids going to swim lessons and asks if we're going to make him go back to that place and no refund. I don't know what I expected from a place that was so rude and wouldn't suspend my account when I was paralyzed from the neck down in a hospital 2 hrs away. I registered my grandson for preschool swim lessons. I registered him for intermediate instead of beginner so the Aquatics Director, Megan Morgan told my daughter(she's the one that took me grandson) that she would leave it up to the teacher. The teacher allowed him in. Great. He's excited he loves the water and wants to swim. Within minutes of class starting my daughter starts texting me. She said there were 2 kids in class that were acting up the teacher didn't get them under control. One of them stepped on my grandson so he started crying. The teacher picked him up for about 1.5min then put him back in the water between the 2 kids. She then told the kids to put there faces under the water to blow bubbles and bc he was smaller and BETWEEN the 2 kids he got choked not even having put his face under water. At this point he's screaming and coughing and the teacher is ignoring him while he's hanging on the wall. My daughter went and took him out of the pool got him dressed and left. This is a child that rarely cries when he gets hurt. Later that evening he asked his mom several times to please never make him go back. So in the span of 25min we went from having an excited water loving 3yr old to a terrified 3yr old that has had nightmares since. I left a message the next day for Ms. Morgan outlining everything and asking for a refund. I still have not heard back. I called the morning of 3/25/25. #chrisbryant #ymcaceo

I was referred to this daycare by another parent and we absolutely love the Kingdom Childcare team…read more I am comforted daily by the warmth and care they show my child - from the owner, manager, teachers, and assistants. I feel like I'm leaving my baby with family every morning, and they send updates in an app to share milestones, activities, and progress throughout the day. I light up each time I get a notification. Not only is the Kingdom Childcare team top tier, but they keep the facility neat and clean, which is a major plus. My child is definitely growing and thriving at Kingdom Childcare.

LONG POST ‼PLEASE READ‼…read more Just had the worst experience with Kingdom Child Carein Opelika AL . On yesterday I had car issues which caused me to be 15 mins late for picking my kids up. The daycare closes at 5:30 I got there at 5:45pm (first time ever being late)... I came in apologizing for the delay & The director AMANDA said "It's a $35 late fee." So I asked can I pay it Friday she said " No it has to be paid by tomorrow" I said ok and also I left my card at the time to swipe them out . So I advised her that I'll back swipe them on tomorrow (today) .So today I didn't let Brookelyn go to daycare because she was sick . Paityn however went to school today the van normally picks her up . So I get a call from her school saying she's still there and that the van driver refused her saying "She can't ride the van you have to call her mom." So I call the daycare and asked "Is there a reason why Paityn wasn't picked up from school today?" And the Director AMANDA stated " Yes she wasn't picked up because you owe a fee ." So at this point I'm appalled so I said " So y'all just left her there anything can happen Kidnapping, Predators etc" So she say "So you think your child will be molested/raped at school?!" I said " I don't know anything can happen I don't trust her with anyone if I couldn't get her what would've happened?! " Let's not forget about the incident that happened over a month ago to that 5yr old baby in auburn... so of course I was heated . AMANDA was so disrespectful saying how she could've called dhr for child abandonment on yesterday for me being late & said " IF YOU GOT HERE ON TIME YOU WOULDN'T HAVE A FEE!" So I said if this were your child you would be the same way she then hung up in my face ! I called back she gave another lady the phone stated that she told me that my kids couldn't return until the fee was paid which was a lie if I knew that I wouldn't have had a problem! So AMANDA is in the back telling the other lady to block my number ! So I said I'm just going to report you and unroll them The she said "GIRL GO GET YOUR LIFE !" At that moment I went blank and told her b go get yours ! And hung up so I immediately went to the daycare with my boyfriend to collect my kids belongings she's already outside so me and him get out .. She stands infront on the door like we're coming to bomb the place and said only she needs to come in and I said he's going in because I trying to avoid confrontation. She said " Oh baby there's no confrontation here !" I said it is though you just told me to get my life on the phone remember that ? Why would I want to come in ?! So my bf proceeds to open the door and AMANDA SLAPPED HIS HAND OFF THE HANDLE !! Then she asks do I have the card to swipe them out he looked at her and said if he wanted it to be a problem he could've made it one (said it as calm as possible) nobody was looking for trouble . So she goes and tell her assistant to call the police on US! I'm coming from the car with the card she locked the door and I'm like here's the card you want me to swiped them out ? She was already on the phone with the police. (No reason to call them what so ever)So I called them too . So when they came I told the policemen of my situation and he said " I grantee your child is safer at school than here !" They went in to speak with her and she just lied on us saying we're always pick them up late which we don't ! Yesterday was the first day ! If that was the case i would've been aware of this situation before hand ! They close at 5:30 !! 5:28 or 5:29 is not late ! Then tell the police that they can come back to the center once the fee is paid ! BABY I wouldn't let my GOLDFISH GO TO THAT DAYCARE let along my kids again from the DISRESPECT THAT I RECEIVED! So I swiped them out and collected their belongings & I asked is there something that I can have printed out with the check in & out times she said no we have the sign in sheets that can be printed whats it for ? I said me and people I need to send it too , she says well they can call and request it and I said sure we'll be in touch ! I found them a new daycare within the matter of mins !!! AND PLEASE BELIEVE I'M GOING BEYOND WITH THIS ‼‼ I never gave them any trouble at all and they only been going there for a month !
