For example, Barnardo's helps children recover from the horrors of abuse and faces their futures with real hope and confidence. It is now one of the UK's leading charities, if not the leading charity. This charity shop is somewhere you can go to buy the odd gift or item of clothing all at low prices and in good condition. The public are always welcome to donate cash or unwanted items to the shop as long as the condition of the item is acceptable. Every time I walk into charity shops, I'm tempted to buy something I don't really need and that's the attraction Barnardo's brings. You'll probably end up seeing something that catches your eye or spot something you know somebody else would be fond of. Barnardo's is no exception.

You might pay more than you would at most charity shops or even Primark for some of the items, but you will still be getting great deals on some really nice clothes. They carry some other items as well including books, toys, knick knacks, etc, but it's really all about the clothes at this particular shop.

The shop is pretty big in terms of standard sized charity shops, and they have a wide range of stock inside. This ranges from women's and men's clothes, to books, CD's, DVD's, computer games, board games, ornaments, vinyl, cassettes and other random bits and bobs. All the VHS videos are 50p each and they seem to get loads of them in. It's pretty cool routing through them all because there are some that never made it to DVD and they're worth a watch if you still have a VHS machine. These include old music videos which may be a gem for an avid music collector!

It has an excellent range of stock including men, women and children's clothing. They have a large selection of books of all types. I like the selection of board games where you can pick up an old game for next to nothing and be a bit nostalgic with your friends. Other items include ornaments, toys, jewellery, records, tapes, Cd's and textiles. Everything here is very cheap. You won't pay more than £1 for most items, and if something is more its usually a good as new piece of clothing. The staff here are lovely and happy to leave you to mooch around for as long as you like.

I have been a bit disappointed lately, as it seems to be mostly cheesy bestsellers, and few of the older paperbacks (Penguin etc) that I most enjoy. However, still head and shoulders above the other ones. There's plenty of the other usual stuff, too, eg clothes, bric-a-brac. It makes it worthwhile going into Prescot, as there is little of interest left on Eccleston Street these days.

Items are a little more pricey, but there's such a great variety and such quality items that the prices are worth it. Plus, the lady gave me a good deal when I bought four items. :) You'll find a good variety of clothing, books, videos and DVD's, knickknacks, dishes, etc. I found an adorable miniature china dog--an unusual little white one, not your typical granny-knickknack--that I think one of my sisters will love. I also found a row of little hedgehogs that were all different, but sold together. Perfect for another of my sisters who collects hedgies. The ladies here are very friendly, chatty, and entertaining. It's one of my favourite charity shops so far, and I highly recommend it.

This charity shop has recently had a makeover which I can see the reason for but I do feel it a…read moreshame. With the makeover prices have jumped. £6.99 for a Primark dress with yellowed armpits? I hardly think so! Previously the prices had been middle of the road for a charity shop and there was a lot more stock on the shop floor. It is all a bit sparse now and seems to concentrate on new stock. There are some gems still in the shop if you pop in on a regular basis and the staff are lovely. It is just a shame that some charity shops put customers off by trying to make the shop more and more like a boutique.

H&M's latest (and now only) branch in Liverpool city centre is this large, modern unit which is…read morenext to TSB (as I recall it is the former BHS unit) on Lord Street, Liverpool which is just under a year old at the point of writing, having opened at the end of November 2018. It has a large selection of women's clothing across both its' floors with a smaller selection for men on the upper floor - there is also a home section which is pretty useful as not all H&M stores have this. From the outside, the store stands out and looks pretty good, and with it being new the store is pretty modern inside too and they do have some items at good prices too. I do feel the store is let-down by having a much smaller men's selection compared to women with ladies' fashion being the whole of the ground floor (other than the home area) and part of upstairs too (which is also shared with a men's and children's area) Decent store towards the high end of a three-star rating, yet I do feel improving the men's selection would do wonders and help the store in the long-run.

It's full of all sorts of accessories including jewellery,hair decorations and clutch bags. I noticed a bra stand recently which is quite a new addition (There are no changing rooms though so you can't try it on and I don't know if they accept returns). I love to just browse in here, it's only small and quite popular so it can get cramped but everythings really well organised and displayed so you can look with ease. I bought a few scarves for christmas last year from Annabel's the material is lovely and they've kept in great condition. Great shop with lots of pretty things! Really low prices too.
