We came here after a busy day of traveling, and the Hamburger was the perfect meal. Service was a bit slow as they were short-staffed and the restaurant was so crowded that there were people standing around everywhere waiting for a table. If you are skiing back to town and don't take the gondola to get back, you are most likely to pass it. Located close to the town of Zermatt, but still off of the ski slopes. You cannot get here except by skiing, unless you would be crazy enough to try to hike it, but I'd just recommend coming here at the end of your ski day. It gets livelier as the day progresses. It opens at 2PM and most days closes around 8:30PM. We got a few drinks here. This place though has more of a party feel that other stops you can take. The owner, I believe speaks Spanish and English and not Swiss German but she was wonderful and ran the restaurant alone when it was completely full. You order at the counter and it is basically a self service spot but it was a nice little spot tucked away in the small downtown.
