Fries & cheese

I went during a weekday for lunch, so the crowd was very laid back. Other family members had a BLT, which had a good amount of bacon but other times there has been more bacon on it. The grilled ham cheese was also recommended ( filled with a lot of ham) and the known burger was vereeyyy thick! I was full for most of the day after that. All of the entrees came with potato chips and the basket of fries was ordered at the bar along with the food. There is also popcorn for free that you can serve self while you wait. The bar service is fast and have almost everything you need to make your drink.

Some friends and I went on a bit of a road trip for this months lunch outing. It was recommended by one of us, who'd been here before and swears by their burgers. In a broken record repetition of other reviewers, it is very much a small town bar place, and it was packed with people who are mostly local or heard about the burgers. It has an atmosphere that I enjoy sometimes, especially with this group of old friends. They have a system here. After you have staked out your table, you walk up to the bar and order from the bartender lady (do not expect ANY warmth in this step). You go back to your table, where they bring out your food when it's ready. After you finish your meal, you go back to the ice princess to pay, and your done. We all really enjoyed our burgers which were good sized. I felt like mine was overdone, but I should have specified medium when I ordered it (she didn't ask, no big deal though). I also ordered the chili which was exceptional! The fries were also very good, although you do get chips with your burger as well. The cooks take pride in their work, and they should. Very good food.

Locally famous joint known for its huge burgers. Country music playing sports bar sorta kinda. Dive-y but not dangerous.

Burger was great, fries were perfect after I added salt…read more Service was perfect. Very attentive! I will be back!

Had some great drinks and average food at this bar in Yorkville but it wasn't like the name…read moresuggests, at least in the afternoons. It may seem like a local hangout with lots of drinks and basic food. Rowdy's is one of a few bars in this part of town. For sure it's nothing fancy of course. They're known for big ass burgers, and fries covered in stuff. Bar has a couple entrances, only one of which we were able to enter. It's got the rear one, which takes you through the gaming area before the main part. The front entrance was for some reason locked, even though the bar was open at that time. Anyway, they have about what's expected. It's about $7 for a basic cocktail, like with whiskey. Food is a pretty meaty thing with the burgers. They have shit tons of these. It's about $10 for their fries, which come loaded with toppings in baskets. We got a basket of the Sriracha Fries, which are topped with garlic Parmesan which we left off, along with hoisin sauce, jalapeños, onions, red pepper, and sriracha. Filling. These were enough to make a meal to be honest. Got to say it was better than expected. It's located on Bridge Street, amongst the older buildings around here. Those wanting meaty things can get burgers, while those not can get fries or whatever.

Best bar in DeKalb County! This is me and my friend's favorite bar to go to. Great service and fun,…read morefriendly crowd

Ah, good old Cub and Spanks…read more.. Now I've only been coming here for the past couple of months, but they fulfill a couple of requirements I require in a bar. 1) cheap drinks. And I don't mean this place is the kind of establishment that serves drinks in red solo cups, they serve them in regular plastic tumbler cups, and they're not bottom shelf garbage liquids either. A Jameson and Ginger ale will set you back a whopping $4. I feel like I'm stealing from the bar when I drink here! This is a good thing. 2) conversational level of crowd noise. This place has never been so loud that I couldn't hear the person I was sitting with, granted, we haven't come here on a Friday or Saturday night, so consider that the asterisk. I prefer a place where u don't need a bullhorn to talk to someone 3 feet away. 3) shuffleboard table. This place will always have a special place in my heart since I popped my shuffleboard cherry here on September 30th after closing out Charter Fitness. However, they've since replaced the old board with a new-fangled board with the prison bars that come up in the middle to avoid free plays, and the table is but crooked. Not that I'm a cheapskate and try to play for free, but the sand gets stuck in the holes so when you start a game, you have to manually push the bars in in order to allow your pucks to slide freely from end to end. I know, I know, #firstworldproblems 3) jukebox. Since the beginning if time, man has attempted to push forth their culture on those around them, and this is the perfect way to do it. You can even control the jukebox from your phone! Well, your smartphone at least. I don't think your Motorola StarTAC is going to help you out here, nor will your Nokia 8200. 4) regulars. You will see the same people day in day out here, whatever day of the week. They may or may not remember that you had a conversation about whatever you had a conversation about, but they're friendly. Or you can chalk it up to this place being a townie bar, but I won't call it that. Come to Cubbies, sidle up to the bar, and maybe drop a buck on a game of shuffleboard or two. If I'm there, say hello and challenge me to a game. I might show you a thing or two. Or not. I've only been playing for a couple if months...
