    My 93-year old Mom, unresponsive and on the ground, FORMER client of Bristol.

    My 93 year old mom fell at her assisted living facility early in the morning, possibly around 7 am, on 5/31, and was found unconscious by the assisted living staff. We had received specific instructions from Bristol Hospice that only *they* could grant permission to call 911 in the case of an emergency. We were told that if the family or anyone else, including the assisted living facility, called 911 that the services would not be covered. So, following Bristol's instructions, the assisted living facility called Bristol--3 times--and each time, Bristol picked up and then immediately hung up. The staff that called said they could hear the click of the disconnect each time. We finally called their Concord location and they reached someone in the Fairfield office finally after 1 1/2 hours. At this point my mom had been lifted off the ground and placed in her bed, she had hit her head and was bleeding from her hand. She looked like she was having a stroke. Bristol finally calls back and says ok go ahead and call 911. We immediately fire Bristol. No one from Bristol ever apologized and no one even bothered to come out and assess her. Fast forward to today, 2 months later. Here's the call "hey we wanted to let you know we reached out to your Mom's doc to find out why she's no longer in hospice". WTF. Don't call her doctor, you guys were fucking FIRED. Why are you making any calls at all?! And they say oh well you know we didn't know all the circumstances that contributed to you firing us but why don't you give us another chance? We're sorry your mom laid there waiting for an hour and a half while we ignored your calls ON PURPOSE. And anyway we have really good reviews! Yeah, well no way no how and thank you for triggering my anger again with your phone call today which compelled me to write this long overdue bad review you earned AND deserve. Maybe the picture here of my mom unconscious and on the ground will remind Bristol that their clients are actual human beings. Do yourself and your loved ones a favor and keep these people out of your life.

    I have no respect for their management. Return calls slow and non-existent. Lack of empathy.
