If you're walking around the Harbourside, you will most definitely spot on of these yellow and blue boats, shuffling up and down the river. These ferries provide commuters a niche way of getting to work, and also the tourists (or this is great too even if you're a local here) a relaxing sight seeing experience.
Simple enough, you pile on the boat, and someone comes and collects your fare once you've set off. Prices are pretty cheap for the experience you get, at £1.60 for a short hop, and the most expensive being a hop on and off all day ticket, which is £7. That isn't that bad, as you could make a whole day of stopping off at fun places to visit around Bristol and it's worth the price, getting to be ferried all over in a boat!
They cater for parties, Christmas trips, school trips, weddings and even have a cream tea trip which certainly ticks all my boxes. You get dropped off at Beeses Tea Gardens for a spot of cream tea and scones.
If you have any family and friends visiting, this is a lovely way to show them around Bristol, or this is great too if you're just wanting a relaxed day on the river. read more
