Great place for a group dinner. The place gets pretty busy so be sure to make a reservation on a weekend. It's typical american bbq fare, but all very good. You can mix all the different meats or order a combo that brings everything. The sides are ok: mac and cheese, coleslaw, beans, pickles, etc... I recommend getting the brisket and some of the sausage. They have 3 different types of bbq sauce, try all of them and stick to the one you like most.

Holy moly! Looking for some yummy BBQ this side of the pond? Check out Brisket! My husband and I had the Texas Triangle (smoked brisket, shredded chicken, and pulled pork). The hubs added a sausage link. Sides included baked beans and Mac n'cheese - small up fee. Chicken was a bit dry but the BRISKET was awesome!! And the pulled pork...EXCELLENT. BBQ sauce was nice (once our server remembered to bring it). Pricey but worth the night of food coma.

Great place to go with your friends, they have a lot of tables for big groups. The restaurant teleports you out of Zurich to an American Southern smoke house, I didn't feel like I was in Zurich at all. One more plus, the service was fast and super friendly! PROTIP: If you're going on a Friday night, make sure to get reservations online! We booked it the morning of Friday and there were still tables. When we were there, we saw so many people get turned down or had to wait for an hour or two. Food wise, prices are decent for what you're getting and for Zurich prices. They have a lot of combos that you can pick from, but I would recommend just getting the various meats by the 100g, the price isn't a big difference from the combos that they have. Pork belly, pulled pork and brisket were all delicious! Cole slaw was also great! You can make your own pulled pork sandwich with the bread, pulled pork, and cole slaw. I'd recommend trying this restaurant and I'll be back again!

REALLY GOOD!!! Food, waitress, atmosphere, price We were there in a group of 9!! I'll def. come again!!

Pulled Pork Platter (200g - but seriously, I think they were very generous with us) and BBQ beans (needed seasoning)

Great Service, Great Location, Amazing Pulled Pork - definitely worth the money. Only the side dishes deserve a bit more attention. Go as group as it is a fun location.

Being from Texas I'm always on the lookout for great BBQ. The brisket here might be THE MOST tender I've ever had (sorry mom)! Great find!!

It's very hard (if not impossible in Europe) to get butchers to give chefs the proper cut of beef to make a real brisket.

Unless you don't mind eating outside in the dark with all the smokers. Second....expect to wait a long time. This isn't a fast food restaurant so grab a beer and wait 45/60 min to get your food. Third... Switzerland is very expensive so this restaurant is no different. 2 burgers, 2 alcoholic drinks, and French fries were 98CHF which is pretty much 100 bucks. They have 3 sauces for you to try. Ketchup- Tasted like marinara sauce. BBQ- Tasted like smokey ketchup. 1000 island. Tasted normal. Burgers were great. They were juicy and delicious. Animal Style French Fries were a good try. Def not like the original but so far from home it was a nice find. This restaurant isn't for Americans. Way too expensive for what we eat all the time but I compare this place to the Melting Pot in the US. That place is so overpriced but it's amazing to get your cheese fondue fix. I can't imagine Swiss people coming to the US and eating at our expensive version of cheese fondue. Service was ok. It was super busy so can't really complain but I could tell our waiter was super annoyed with our audacity of showing up , with no reservation, and willingness to wait. And for some dumb reason you can't order "The Threesome" (or Hattrick) with a group of 5 people. 4 apparently is ok but we had 5. Cannot imagine why if 3 people order the same thing it's an inconvenience for the restaurant but DON'T DO IT or again your waiter will show his annoyance.

The restaurant was crowded but the service was swift. Since it was my first time at a Hooters in Switzerland, I wasn't sure what to expect. I was relieved the chicken wings tasted much like the ones served up by Hooters in the US. We ordered a mix of BBQ, mild, medium, hot, 911, and Daytona...200+ wings all in all. Also got 4 side orders of curly fries, and 4 plates of celery sticks. Washed it all down with 5 pitchers of beer. While they were all pretty good, the Daytona wings stood out from the rest in my opinion. The waitress was attentive to our party and kept the wings coming and the pitchers of beer flowing. The bill for 14 people was 346 fr total. which was quite reasonable I think. Definitely a great spot for a large group night out without breaking the bank.

We happened upon it just by looking up restaurants close to our hotel and it wound up being our favorite place we ate in our whole 10 days in Switzerland! The atmosphere is so warm and welcoming. When you walk up, there are tables and chairs throughout the walkway and then an entire open area of tables off of the outside bar for a fun hangout. The building appears to be an old house turned restaurant and is so beautiful on the outside and so warm and inviting on the inside. The menu had accommodations for everyone - which is so nice as I am a lactose intolerant pescatarian! I got the beetroot and black bean burger both nights I was there and it was to die for!! I ate the entire thing both nights and just wanted more (it was a big burger though)!! I also had a watermelon spritz which was so refreshing! You can tell the owners/workers get to know their regulars as I saw them stopping by tables and chatting - which was just so fun to see! If you're in Zurich, I highly recommend popping by! My only regret was that I never saved room for the brownie dessert!

The reviews looked good so thought we'd give it a shot. Boy were we glad we did. Loved the retro style of the place. Everything looks genuinely from an older time period...the bar, the lights, the mirrors, the walls, the curtains, the tables and chairs, and the decors....all consistently vintage looking. The waitress and bartender were very friendly and welcoming. When we walked in with a stroller, the bartender immediately took us to the elevator in the lobby of the building next door which required a key. Upon entering the second floor lounge, he politely asked other patrons to make way for us to push the stroller through, which we were very grateful for. I didn't have very high expectations for the food since the place seems more of a bar/lounge, than a restaurant. The "American Breakfast" brunch menu offers about a dozen choices of standard items such as fried/scrambled eggs; French toast; pancakes; hash browns; cornmeal waffles; honey apple granola....all for under Fr. 10. Then there was the "Hotel Breakfast", for Fr. 25, which includes a basket of various breads, eggs any style, hash browns, ham, and fruits. The choice was a no-brainer. Our cappuccinos came first and they were simply delightful. The cappuccinos were beautifully designed one with heart and the other one with leaf in the middle and tasted amazing! So rich and creamy, with a hint of chocolate, absolutely delectable! Then our food arrived, and sooo much of it. The bread basket was filled with all kinds of different breads all fresh and warm. The butter was served in a small hotel desk bell shaped metal butter dish, cleverly matching the hotel theme of the bar/lounge. Our "Hotel Breakfast" did not disappoint either, tasty and filling, exactly what I was craving. Then the waitress brought up our homemade waffles and mixed fruits platter, which looked like a whole other brunch for another person! The waffles were fluffy and airy with a little bit of powdered sugar sprinkled on top. The fresh mixed fruits were beautifully carved. Looked like somebody took pride in the presentation of the food served as well as the taste. There was nothing short of a perfect brunch experience at Hotel Rivington & Sons. Can't wait til next Sunday!
