9/6/24 Two new jet skis purchased. Lot's of junk fees. Shipping, $600 (units are in their showroom) Prep and assembly, $500 (units just needed to be lifted onto the trailer I purchased. They actually DID NOT do the Yamaha required pre-sales checks. Those were missed. Documentary fee $200 this is the dealership processing the required TxDMV and TPW registration. BTW, I still haven't had confirmation that the TWD docs are being processed. Other Battery and Key. $399 There is no key, but there is a battery. Purchased extended Yamaha warranty. Still haven't received any documentation on the extend warranty. I'm sure most dealerships do this BS. Just don't make the mistake of ever using this dealership. Wade Page in Athens took care of me like family, I shopped around for 3 weeks and talked to Mutiple dealers. Wade never made me feel obligated to purchase, or uneasy. He kept in contact through the whole process. (most salesmen wont return a call or an email these days) Our conversations were brief and to the point. I correct my last complaint because they actually tried to get over on me worse than I previously had thought.Brinson lied about the price msrp and added $2000 for shipping. This was after I had already driven to Athens with my trailer in tow that I found out about their additional charges. Last post I had given the price that I got from another dealer however I was wrong because the other dealer had taxes included with their price. With ag exemption at the other dealership I saveed 3500 dollars on the exact same unit. Hope others will shop before buying from Brinson. They are shady!! read more

If you are looking to buy a golf cart or ATV, you might want to look elsewhere. I was looking for a used/reconditioned EzGo RXV golf cart. Since Brinson is an EZGO dealer, I figured they might be a good place to start. They are also close to home which was a plus. So my wife and I headed over. When we got there I find two guys in their cubicles playing on their phones. One guy jumped up and introduced himself as Khriss. I told him why we were there, and literally the first words out of his mouth were "oh wow man, I don't know anything about the golf carts, in fact, I've ONLY been here for 8 months and I don't know anyone who has sold one". Score one for his honesty, but seriously? We heard this same sad excuse about five more times before we ran for the exit. Hint/Advice to Khriss: If as you say, you've been at Brinson for 8 months and haven't learned anything at all about the product you were hired to sell, let's just say that if you were working for me, you would be a "former employee". I might add that perhaps this is the answer as to why no one at Brinson had ever sold one. To Khriss's credit - he was very upfront and honest about his lack of knowledge in this area of their business, his embarrassment, and he did do his best to get us some information to answer our questions. Bottom line if you are looking for a golf cart, I think you'd be better off looking elsewhere. read more

I understand business is business but I called yesterday to see if they had a can-am defender xmr. The lady told me they did have 1 left and another person was looking at it. I asked her to send info to my bank she said ok and I will send you my personal number if you need anything.I hung up with her called my bank called her back with bank info she said she would send it right over at 3 pm I called and they stated she had left for the day. ASSUMING (my fault ) my paperwork was sent I went back to work. Called bank this morning. They never heard a word. Called her she says we'll we had 3 yesterday (as if she had never talk to me yesterday and said they only had 1 left). She says let me check inventory I will call you back 40 minutes later she says they are all sold. Let me check if I can locate one. Still waiting. HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE!!! read more

Called about a used golf cart on a Monday. I was told it had all new batteries, that the tires "were great", that it ran perfect, and "looks like brand new". On the phone the salesmen (Brandon) said he would mark it sold, and I made arrangements for a flatbed trailer, and to drive the 3 hours round trip to pick it up on Saturday. Now its an 02, so I didn't expect it to look like new, and mechanically sound was my only requirement but: 2 tires were dry rot and one of those was bald (we noticed this ourselves after loading onto the flatbed, and Brandon our salesman had just finished saying "the tires are great"), so I bought and had 4 tires installed. Then we found the lights didn't work, so after 3 hours of the salesman and the mechanic telling me they dont know anything mechanically about golf carts that they just sell them, I bought an aftermarket light and had it installed. One of the rear brake light cover was off, and had a burnout bulb, that when replaced turns out that brake light doesn't work. All this after they had "checked it all out", and had 6 days to make sure before I drove to get it... Additionally there is a hole in the back seat, numerous cuts/damage to the body, the metal frame and backseat armrest are rusted, and there are places where stickers use to be that the glue residue is still present, so not even close to "looks brand new".... Bad experience... There was one guy (Josh I think) who was helpful and installed the light kit. Had it not been for him we would have left without the golfcart. Other than him, its a group of people standing around, playing on their phones and eating. My expectation was that we would drive up, pay for the golfcart, load it up and leave. Not spend 4 hours at the dealership while 3 people starred at a golfcart and one guy tried to fix the things the salesman lied about... read more

Horrible experience!! Between me, my brother and my Dad we have bought 5 rangers, 1 General and 2 4 wheelers. After this experience pre ordering a xp4 deluxe General we are done!! I will never buy from Brinson power sports again!! Waited 3 months for it (Without ride command ) it comes in With ride command. They would not honor their price wanted over $3500 more than what we agreed on! They told me they would have to send back to Polaris because it was a pre ordered ride. When I told them I didn't want it for that price, within 30 minutes had called a friend of mine who was looking for a General also, ( they didn't know he knew me) offered it to him for $5000 more than I could have got it for!!! So $8500 more than what we had agreed upon 3 months earlier when I ordered!! read more

After agreeing to a price on two new Polaris Rangers at Brinson Powersports, I returned the next day to get a quote on my used Polaris trade-in. After unloading my old Ranger, my salesman asked if I had a title for it. I said no, as I bought it from a private party. He said he needed a title on trade-in's, something he and his sales manager both failed to mention the day before. I live almost an hour away, so this was upsetting. Angry about my wasted trip, I loaded my Ranger back up and headed home. I decided to sell my used Ranger outright, cancel the deal and go elsewhere. My salesman called me later and offered to deliver both new machines for free. To save time, I decided to accept their offer and continue with my purchase. Both of my new Rangers were delivered as promised, but they arrived filthy dirty. I paid a $400 prep fee for EACH Ranger, but received nothing to show for it. The worst condition was my 3 seater. It had significant paint damage on the front cowling, the seat was warped with a missing mount, the glove box owner's material was covered with mold and the tool kit was missing. I contacted my salesman immediately, who promised to make things right. Unfortunately his sales manager didn't share his concern. I ultimately had to threaten to stop payment on my check to get the manager to take me seriously. The manager at that point agreed to exchange the damaged machine, but of course I had to do the driving. I'm glad that Brinson made things right, but it wasn't until I dug my heels in. My salesman apologized several times for everything, but his smug sales manager didn't seem to care, he never offered any type of apology. Terrible experience. I won't be back. read more

We took our Polaris in for service due to an overheating problem. It sat for almost a month in their service department without being looked at!! They never called to update us, so when we called to check on it, they said nothing was wrong with it. It was obvious when we picked it up that it hadn't even been moved from where we left it when we dropped it off. We are very disappointed with Brinson and they've lost any of our future business! read more

Took my 2019 FXT Mule in for warranty work. Clearly the front end isn't right and they continue to tell me it isn't right. Needed a boot replaced which is under warranty but they wanted to charge me 120$ diagnostic fee for warranty work. When I refused to pay that they tried to get me to pay at least half of that. I said no and they let me leave pissed off. Then called me back as I was on the way home to tell me to bring it back and they would do it at no charge. I continued on home and will never use them for any work or buy from them again. Anyone else see anything wrong with the front end read more

Polaris Industries and Brinson power sports in Athens, Tx have lost all of our respect and future business with our multiple purchases of off road vehicles. We will NOT recommend Polaris industries nor Brinson Power sports to ANYONE when we are asked the repetitive question...of advice when someone is needing a great dealership and manufacturer. We purchased a BRAND new 2013 RZR 800s and we were very excited about this purchase and couldn't wait to have our RZR for many years to come, little did we know we were sadly mistaken. Our RZR came with a measly 6 month factory warranty. We opted out of buying the extended warranty, simply for the fact that we had faith that Polaris and Broadway power sports in Tyler,Tx...would not sell a faulty made side by side. We just knew this vehicle with the routine tune ups and checks that were needed, would work well for us for many years to come. When our RZR threw a rod it had a whopping 50 hours on the motor. We acquired our RZR's 50 hours by taking a couple of leisure trips to the deer and duck leases and driving around our land. We did not expect to have such a horrible experience when we took our side by side to Brinson Power sports to be repaired and to get our RZR back because we enjoyed it (when it worked) immensely. After we figured out that we were ONE MONTH out of warranty and contemplating even letting a dealership touch our RZR, Brinson power sports stated to us..."sometimes Polaris will cover the cost of repair when you are that close to warranty expiration." After this statement we decided to let them tear apart our RZR (and unfortunately, that's exactly what they did... tore it apart.) Brinson power sports gutted our side by side. They called us and stated they took pictures and reported our RZR's issues to Polaris and after being reviewed... Brinson states per Polaris "there is nothing we can do for you, your vehicle is a month out of warranty." If we would've have known that these vehicles were this poorly made, that the motor would throw a rod after 50 short hours of riding this RZR, we definitely wouldn't have purchased an extended warranty because we wouldn't have purchased such a cheaply made side by side in the first place. Our RZR was given back to us from Brinson power sports in worse condition PHYSICALLY than it was when we brought it to them. Physically our RZR was and always has been in pristine condition because we take care of our side by sides well. We got the RZR back with all the parts sitting on the bed and seats of the RZR itself. We were told by Brinson, "we can put it back together for you but it will cost several hundred dollars." At this point, we realized that we have been extremely cheated and mistreated in this entire situation and wanted to avoid any further charges we might endure. We took our RZR back not knowing the awful, hideous and completely unacceptable condition we would receive it back in. Our bolts that hold our fenders on where shoved into a card board box, they didn't have the audacity to make sure our fenders were fully bolted down to even carry the RZR home. We will make sure all of our connections in the side by side world know of our experience with both Polaris Industries and Brinson Power Sports and see to it that business is lost on their end due to our terrible experience. read more

This place sucks ass. Had them replace my chain and rear sprocket and they didn't tighten my rear break caliper. Once I got it home my son rode it for five minutes the caliper fell off. I took it back the the idiots that were supposed to fix it the first time to put it back together. It took them 2.5 days to fix it. I will never be back there again and do not recommend them for anything. THEY FUCKING SUCK!!!!! read more

PLEASE TAKE THE TIME TO READ MY NIGHTMARE BEFORE YOU CONTACT THIS DEALER!!! I purchased PWC from this place the last weekend of February 2018. I live 7 hours away so all of the negotiations took place by text message (very unprofessional) and emails. The price was agreed upon but the buying incentives changed after we agreed (extended warranty and other buying incentives) Was told by management they could not lose money on a deal. That should have been my first clue right? I agreed to the deal so can't bitch about price now. Drove the 7 hours one way to pick up the units. I was seriously in the dealership 30 - 45 minutes MAX. I hooked the trailer to my truck myself. I tested lights. I had to argue with them that the swivel jack was installed correctly. Was about to correct it myself when a porter came out with an impact and corrected it. I had to ask for a demonstration of the units and to start them. A porter was changing a battery in one unit. I was told battery was dead and they went to O'reilly's and got a new one. I signed my paperwork and asked if I had everything. Is there anything else? Was told no by the sales manager but he could give me 10% off accessories. No thanks. Granted it was raining that day but I drive the 7 hours home and clean the units the next day to put the covers on them. There is mud and leaves under the dry storage. This is important because I was told that both units could not have a picture sent to me because they were in storage containers... first of a series of lies. Battery is dead on one unit. I called and was told to go to O'reilly's. So I did. Not a battery sold by O'reilly's. Another lie...Remember purchased it that morning according to them. It is out of a Can Am or another PWC. Problem ended up being a relay. Which they did send me and I replaced. Next day I go to CU to drop off the paperwork and I am reviewing the sales sheet and notice a line charge for $399. It states Men's and Women's PFD. I googled it for good measure. SEADOO LIFEVESTS! So I call the crook of a sales manager. He says, I quote " that is built in to every deal and it is up the customer's disgression on if they accept them or not". SERIOUSLY DUDE? Who pays $210 for anything and says no you keep it I'll just pay for it. I am insulted and pissed so I told him he has my address they will be on the curb I am going to put a stop payment on the check come get them. Then I am told that they don't have a Men's XXL in inventory. So it's February and you are sold out of a size for the year already. They can't order one because they can only order once a year. SERIOUSLY? He ends up sending me 4 PFD and a cooler. I ask to speak with the owner. can't get him to call me back. Apparently owners son is Chet. Mr. Brinson is out of town and Mrs. is at the Dealership. Can't get to them. Crook is running interference. So I am satisfied and just want the nightmare to end. I call a few weeks later because we are going to the lake and they did not give me temp tags for the trailer. New Manager now. Crook is fired for personal reasons. New Manager is very apologetic and says he will review the deal to see if there is anything left in it and have Chet call me. Still haven't gotten that call. I get the plates for the trailer as promised. So temp tags expire 3/26 for PWC. they are going to send me new temp because nothing from TPW. They send me tags overnight dated 02/24. Well that expired before the first tags did! So I agree since we are in the 6th week to just wait and see from TPW. I was told 4-6 weeks from the dealer. I called TPW. I am not in their system but they found the HIN numbers. The registration was rejected. Lady told me they process the registration in about 10 days and they sent the rejection letter to the dealer yesterday. So that corresponded back to the conversation with the new Manager 4 weeks after the sale is when TPW received the registration. I called the dealership again. Me and the receptionist are on first name basis now. New Manager finally gets on the phone. I offer the lady's contact at TPW and he says he's got it and he will handle it. He will send the temp tags out overnight again. Guess I am that customer. Couldn't wait to get me off the phone after all the bullshit talk and apologies about how we care to make things right. I still haven't talked to any of the ownership. Either they are not involved with the business, don't care, or have really bad choices for employees. Someone from the dealership even had the audacity to post a picture of me on their facebook page saying how great of a deal it was and how I had searched hundreds of dealers in Texas before coming there. That has since been edited. Long story that still does not have an ending. ANYONE THAT TOOK THE TIME TO READ THIS. DO NOT DO BUSINESS HERE. i brought my 2005 ford 150 in because it wouldnot start. first they told me it was $534 then i was told it would be $7300 for a new motor??? what unbelievable i am 67 years old on social security i cannot even think of affording this why can someone tell me why i am not a idiot and i do not appreciate being taken advantage of i am still trying to get the $534 to get it out of there but it is still all tore up.....can someone please tell me where i can take it and not get ripped off. read more
