This center is at the heart of the Brimfield antique show. It covers acres. Parking out on the grass is 10.00 if you come early. Sooo many vendors. And a food court. I would suggest more access to cold water vendors. There were enough outdoor toilets. We ll be here two or three days and I doubt we ll see it all. But we found some good things on our first day. Our finds have to be small because we Have to be able to put it in a suitcase. The show is only for a few days. read more

I went to the Brimfield Antiques show with a friend for the first time yesterday and the experience was mixed. We paid $20 for parking in order to be closer to the site, at a distance it cost less. People - buyers, parking attendants, and most dealers were friendly and helpful. A few dealers were surly. I looked at a blanket, tossed over a chair, put it back as I found it, and the dealer came over and scowled and folded it up neatly. Another dealer barked at us when we asked for a price and seemed annoyed that he was even there. We must have walked around for an hour and a half. So many of the wares looked the same. Prices were for the most part high. "How much is this copper pot?"....."$500." I don't expect dealers to give stuff away and I know that a lot was involved in traveling, setting up, etc., and that they have a right to make a profit, but again - prices were high. There is no map available of the layout of the site. It isn't like "antique furniture is at this end", "clocks are at that end". Everything is mixed and jumbled, and if there IS a dealer who specializes in clocks or kitchenwares or Swedish furniture, you have to walk and hunt and walk and hunt. Some enjoy doing this, we did not. I went with specific items in mind. Not all dealers were selling antiques or vintage items. We saw a couple of African art dealers, several rug dealers (beautiful rugs by the way), and others. Most dealers were laid back, answering questions if asked, but not pushy. A couple were talkative in a friendly way, which was nice. Lots of food stands were available and that was nice too. So - LOTS of things to look at, LOTS of dealers, but the site is crowded, there's no order to it in terms of finding specific things, prices are high, and you have to walk four miles to get from one end to the other. It would take you DAYS to do this if you stopped and checked out each dealer along the way. read more

I wish I didn't have to write this, but I had an upsetting experience here. I'm a big fan of antiques and vintage things, and I was very excited to go to the Brimfield Antiques show. As I urgently had to use the restroom, I politely asked the older white lady at the counter if I could use the facilities. I'd never seen someone's expression turn sour so quickly. The smile fell from her face, and she flat-out told me no. She told me, "There are people showering in there," (???) which was a baffling excuse, and then told me that I would have to go use a porter potty. There was a older white man next to her, and the way they both looked at me, like "absolutely not," just made me feel terrible. They didn't even tell me where the nearest bathroom was until I asked, which was, "you'll have to go out back." See, I never would have asked in the first place - except for the fact that my (white) female friend had asked just a little while ago, and she had been granted a key. I also saw another older Caucasian woman be given the key to the restroom just before me. It would have made sense, perhaps, if the public was kept from using the restrooms at all, since Brimfield is a busy show. However, some women were clearly allowed, and I was not, and the only difference I can tell between my friend and I is that she is white, and I am not. If they had told me, "Sorry, restrooms are for customers only" - I would have been happy to purchase something, because I'd had my eye on a few expensive items. But instead, they lied to me and refused me completely - despite the fact that they had given my friend a key. I've been looking forward to Brimfield for a long time, and this honestly ruined my day. I couldn't stop thinking about the way I was treated, as if I was somehow beneath them for reasons unbeknownst to me. I am a young lady, I dress well and neatly, and I am a fan of antiques. I always try to show respect to others. I wanted to cry for a long while afterwards. I thought we were long past the era of granting service to some people and refusing others based on how they looked. I'm very upset by this experience, and I won't be given them my business in the future. P.S. as a consumer warning - there was another customer who was a Chinese antiques expert, and as he was examining the Asian pieces in their cabinets, he said that a lot of their items were new pieces made in the style of old things, not true antiques, and the vast majority of them were greatly overpriced. Of all their items, he only found one piece that he thought was actually worth anything. The staff member helping him admitted he "knows nothing about Oriental items" and thus couldn't possibly assess their worth. So, buyer beware. read more

I love visiting Brimfield during the shows, but we often make day trips all over, and when heading that way, we always stop in to see what they have. Located In the center of the Brimfield Antiques Show Grounds, they always have a great inventory of antiques and collectibles! Plan a few minutes to talk to vendors there, I always learn something new, and have great time talking and hearing their stories. read more

Very nice place, some of the dealers here have some hard to find beautiful pieces. Quite a bit of 50s Americana, china, jewelry and coins. Not much for furniture but it can be found. The place is not gigantic I'm usually in and out in about 15 mins. Every time I've bought something the people at the counter were more than friendly. read more

Was at the Brimfield antique week and stopped in this store. I was looking at Roseville pottery when one of the sales associates came over and suggested I look at another piece. Went on about how it would add to my collection, etc. such a great piece, etc... I had just started collecting and did not know there were fakes around. So he talks me into buying this piece which I now find out is a total fake!!! BEWARE of this place! It would be one thing if I saw it and bought it but this guy was just conniving and manipulative. I really enjoyed my shopping trip to the Brimfield Antique Flea Market in July but I have to mention how great the Brimfield Antique Center is. I love to browse a bunch of showcases and open floor spaces with such a great variety of merchandise. The air conditioning was helpful as I can't tolerate the heat that much. There were plenty of helpers on the floor to assist me in looking inside the cases. Overall, a very pleasant shop with friendly staff and professional dealers. read more

Do not shop here!!!!!!! This store changes their prices!!!!!!!! Went into the Brimfield Antiques Center today and found a Barbra Streisand album in the dollar bin, which was the only section of records in the store. It was marked $5, but the box said 'All albums a dollar,' so I brought it up to the front and explained to the people up there what had happened. They were very rude and demanded that the album was placed in the wrong spot. Why should I be punished as a consumer for the misplacement and the apparently unattended inventory?? The people up at the front counter acted like I was trying to rip them off and steal the Barbra album. The amazing thing was? All other albums in the whole store were marked a dollar. This shop was disappointing. Lots of what I'd call junk. The wiman at the desk was too busy complaining about how she hates Mondays to bother greeting us as we came in. We're from Pennsylvania and we get up this way once a tear. We'll scratch this one off our list for next time. read more
