Attempting to rent tables and chairs for a rehearsal dinner in July. Called, left messages. Sent text messages. Filled out their online request forms. Weeks passed, no response. Finally, I decided to just drive down to Newtown. I met with two extremely friendly employees, who did not seem surprised that no one had returned my calls. Huh? Nevertheless, we completed the paperwork for my order, and I was promised a quote would be emailed. More than a week had passed, so I called. Of course, no answer, no returned call. I just wanted to thank you. The outpouring of love, caring and concern was over whelming. Brillman's was a part of it.I came in last Sunday and needed a tent for Thursday, June 6. I was informed that there were no tents available for two weeks. You saw that I was having a problem and you asked me what it was, I told you that my grandson had passed away. we than walked into your office and told me that your employees would not be happy with you but you would make it happen. Sent 2 emails, left two phone messages...finally went in person and was told I would get my quote later that day. 11 days later and still nothing. I understand staffing issues ,etc but have the decency to respond even if you can't accommodate a request. read more

We have been renting from Brillman's for a long time and have always been happy...this time, not so much! I inquired about 6-7 weeks ago about a tent rental and was told that I would receive an email regarding the rental (price and rental availability). When I didn't receive an email with the specifics, I called there and left many (5) messages and no one had the decency to return my phone calls! I know that it's busy season for them and that I was only renting a tent, chairs and tables...but come one...sorry Brillman's, you lost a loyal customer! read more

You're kidding? I am so sorry to hear about the bad reviews below. We rented a HUGE pole tent, tables, chairs and LARGE fans for a summer anniversary party for my parent's surprise 40th anniversary in 2006. We dealt with Mary Beth Brilman (and also got quotes from 2-3 other vendors). They did a site visit to make sure the tent ewould work, delivered and picked up the items exactly as ordered. I'll admit, communication can be painfully slow, but at the end of the day, they supplied everything we needed for our outdoor wedding including tent, tables, chairs, tablecloths, tableware, bars, cooks tent and more! Just had the most top notch event with Brillman's for my wedding! Everyone I encountered was top notch and fabulous from Jim, the tenting manager to Mary Beth and Brittany in the office. They were so easy to deal with and so incredibly helpful, everyone offered ideas and assistance every step of the way. Brillman's was the only vendor who offered truly cost saving suggestions that didn't compromise the success of my wedding. They were just completely professional and top notch. We used Brillman's for our wedding last fall and they were simply the BEST! Our wedding as more than a bit challenged due to the impacts of Irene & Lee on the area, and their team never said cancel they worked with us through so many details, even details that had nothing to do with their rentals. The Brillman's team couldn't have been more caring, helpful and beyond professional even during a natural disaster. We dealt with Mary Beth & Jim Brillman and Whitney and never once did we have an issue, I can understand why every time we visited their phones are always ringing. We were told by our venue that they would put us in touch with the people having a wedding on Sunday (ours is Saturday) so we can split the cost of the tent. Well Sunday's wedding doesn't like our vendor of choice, so we agreed to use thier rental vendor, Brillmans. It has been two months now, and I am still waiting on a sub-contract from them for the one-day tent rental for my wedding. My vendor, thier competitor, responds quickly, always answers the phone, and has updated contracts in my inbox minutes after I hang up the phone. Brillmans seems to let every call go to voicemail, and when they do answer the phone they never follow through on thier promise to "send it right out". I guess my money isn't good enough for them and I'm really starting to get fed up. read more

Unprofessional isn't even the word!!! I understand it is a family owned business but customer service is what keeps people going these days and sadly they DON'T have any of it. The customer is not an inconvenience and should not be made to wait for weeks on end for a "simple quote", if you don't like your job maybe get a new one! I do not like leaving reviews in general but this "experience" definitely deserves one. Me and my fiance went to Brillman's to get a quote for our wedding that was being held nearby. The person that worked with us was pleasant and went step by step through everything we needed. She assured us we would get a quote right away and we left happy. We waited over a week with no response. My fiance called them and they assured her they would get a quote out and they were sorry for the delay. Again another week went by with no response and I called and they assured me the quote would be sent out and the person doing the quotes was ill. I again gave them a chance. After they had not responded for yet another week, we contacted another rental company who was able to deliver for us even with at that point being 3 weeks out from the wedding. This seems to be a common theme with Brillman's with all of the other reviews and I would just spare the headaches and go with someone else. read more

We used Brillman's two other times in years past and were so disappointed this time. The quality of the products was much lower and many of the chairs had broken pieces. Overall customer service was extremely poor and sadly I would not recommend them to anyone. read more

Brillman's absolutely hands down has the worst customer service ever! The rep who came out to our house to view the setup and take measurements was awesome. He gave great feedback and ideas and was totally top notch. But...when I saw Mary beth at a wedding expo less than a week later, she said that the rep had given her the proposal right away and it was sitting in the back of her car. She said I should expect it before the end of the week. So I called every day the following week and was told EVERY TIME I CALLED, that Mary Beth was emailing it over right away, and she never did. When I made my final call and requested a status, I was told that Mary Beth was working on the proposal. Right back to square one. No sense of urgency, no managing of expectations, no compassion whatsoever! I can't imagine what their response time is like if the tent goes up and a problem happens. PLEASE DO NOT USE THESE PEOPLE!!! read more

This is my favorite place to rent party items. Everyone in the company, from the event coordinators to the folks that come out to measure and set up/ take down, are wonderful professionals. As far as knowing their business, they were able to set up a beautiful white tent over the deck...it was amazing. I've been using Brillman's for parties for the last 13 years. read more

Terrible communication, led us astray on a number of issues concerning our wedding and our venue. So much so that we had to cancel our venue and find a new one less than 2 months before our wedding date. I would never recommend Brillman's or Prallsville Mills in Stockton to any bride or friend.
