They were also kind enough to bring packages inside that had been delivered early, which was an unexpected courtesy that really stood out. The quality of the painting was excellent, the cleanup was fantastic, and communication throughout the entire project was exceptional. They were able to get me on the schedule within just seven days and actually completed the job earlier than expected. Being able to trust a company to do a great job when you're hundreds of miles away is priceless. They were professional, responsive, honest, and went above and beyond from start to finish. They made an appointment to get right out for the estimate and I had a written estimate within a day! It was very detailed and accurate as to what I should expect. I did receive 3 estimates and this was in the middle. I think based on the outcome it was a great value! One issue they do need to address is communication. From the office to the workers. No one wants to confirm when or if they are coming and it will be up to the customer to call and confirm times. If they had communicated better they would have gotten 5 stars. That said they always did show when scheduled just late at times. (I'm a bit anal, lol) The paint job exceeded my expectation! The crew could not have been nicer and a pleasure to have around. They were respectful of my home and property and cleaned up very well after themselves. Following completion they sent out an "Inspector" to go over the work they had done! He did find a few things that needed addressing and they had it resolved in a matter of days. This was what I would call a "technical" paint job and I am very particular. I would not be afraid to recommend this company to anyone for any job!

She was extremely friendly, professional and easy to work with. After the estimate, we went forward with the project. Before the work began, the project manager, Shaun, called and scheduled a "job walkthrough" to go over all of the details of the work. He was very courteous and spent a lot of time explaining everything. Josh was the lead painter assigned to our project and he was patient, friendly and worked very hard to ensure things were done right. Ezekiel was also one of the painters who worked tirelessly and had a great attitude every day. At the beginning of the project, we had an issue with a paint color that did not match our swatch. Josh immediately called Shaun. Even though it was late in the afternoon, well past his workday hours, Shaun promptly arrived at our home. He brought seven different lighter shades of the gray paint we told him was too dark and he applied them to the walls in multiple locations until we found the right one. We REALLY appreciated this! At the end of the project, Chris, the owner of Boise Home Painting came out and made sure everything was done to our satisfaction.

We get a completely ridiculous quote after I'm also told a professional paint job should last 3 to 5 years after asking the painter (one of the owner's of the company) how long I can expect the paint job to last. No joke! ...Next!  The GC then hires what he claims is a professional painter as his employee. When I saw the minimal effort put in to what was called prepping, I pulled that scope of work from the project and decided we'd take care of the exterior painting when they finished our reno. They never finished! Look for their review in the future:) Enter Five Star Painting... a home down the street looked like they were getting ready to paint. As I walked past each day, I'd check it out. These two dudes were killing it with the prepping of this home. This house is huge and there was no nook or cranny these guys weren't getting. After a few days, I met the owner of the home and asked whom they were using. I was in complete awe at the prep that was going into this job. I was given Craig Jones' contact info. I may have called on a Saturday and left a v.m. and got a return call shortly after on the same day. Craig came within a day or two after that initial conversation, looked the job over in detail and printed me a quote out on site. Damn! These guys are efficient with and without the painting. I requested the same two guys that did an astounding job down the street. Job starts,... btw, the price I was quoted was completely fair for the scope of work involved. Joe and Andy start working at my home and in just two hours their results of prep were superior to the b.s. of two days/two guys our past GC guaranteed me. Needless to say, Joe and Andy kicked ass! I couldn't even believe the prep Joe & Andy did with the 113 year old cedar siding and all the trim of my home. On top of being two of the finest painters I've ever met, they are both as cool as they come.  If you're thinking of painting your home, pick up the phone and call Craig today. I am easily entertained, but not easily impressed... me being impressed with Five Star Painting is a complete understatement.
