I was paying a premium of $2,600 a year for home insurance with hurricane coverage and decided that was too much to pay and was hoping to find a different insurance company that could save me a little bit of money. The sad thing is I stayed with them for several years and you'll gasp at how much I overpaid this insurance company that violated my "Trust". I went on line to one of those sites that give you quotes and filled out the form for a request for quotes. In less than 5 minutes I got a call from a female insurance broker, a nice lady, and got a quote from her that would save me $300 annually and I actually thought that was going to be the best I would get. Until, I got a call from Brent McNally with Brightway Insurance who asked if he could give me a quote. I gave him my information and that's when I learned something that utterly stunned me. Brent asked me if I had a wind mitigation inspection on my house and I told him that the insurance company came out and inspected my home, for approval, and because of that I was pretty sure I did. But Brent encouraged me to find out, so I called the company that is now my previous insurer and found out that I did not have one. $90 later I had one and sent the copy to Brent at Brightway Insurance and am now paying a premium of less than $1,000 a year with a better insurance company. I'm saving $1,600 a year because Brent was ethical in his dealings with me and told me how much a wind mitigation inspection would save me. You do the math, 5 years with a company that never bothered to tell me how much I could save with the wind mitigation inspection. Very greedy! read more

This is not a hole in the wall agency where you are working with a used car salesman. These people aren't even salesman, they're professionals. You can't get a ballpark quote on the phone but it's honest, thorough, and correct the first time through. Alex asked if he could see a copy of my existing policy which I was upset about, but after reluctantly giving it to me he made me realize that my old agent had been lying to me for years... My personal property was not insured at replacement cost, there was no coverage for building code upgrades, and I was only covered for burst pipes up to $10,000.00. Alex got me full replacement cost, a lower rate, full water damage coverage and a lot of building code coverage -- AT A LOWER RATE TOO! Alex is a young guy, but among the most knowledgeable and professional I've met, and he made me realize that I've been shopping insurance the wrong way for 70+ years... Treat your insurance broker as your financial adviser, trust their judgement, and they'll get you to where you need to go. Call Brightway and work with Alex -- Ditch your current agent who only wants to sell you something and work with someone who actually wants to make sure you know what you have!!!!! read more

I own a specialty import and export business for refurbished electronics... I spent FOUR MONTHS trying to find insurance for my business to make sure I covered both internationally and domestically. The lowest quotes I was able to get was $25,000.00... before tax and financing! In a matter of hours, Alex was able to broker a special product from AIG called "World Source," which got me liability, crisis coverage for when I'm travelling overseas, workers compensation for my international employees, and even a small auto policy so I'm covered whenever I'm overseas managing my business...
