I can't express enough gratitude on how this facility and its staff made saying goodbye to our beloved Mimi. The facility is small. I think only like 16 beds. But the room are huge, clean and comfortable. There is a huge family room-dining room area for families to congregate and grieve. The staff were incredibly supportive and professional. If we weren't in the building, they would call us to give us an update. We asked for a chaplain and they were able to get us one to be present for her and for our family. The decision for hospice is not easy. But this facility and staff made saying goodbye comforting for our family.

I want to make it clear that this review is not about the staff, but about management. This organization presents itself as a Catholic hospice, and as a Catholic myself, I find the treatment of faithful employees deeply upsetting and not aligned with the values God calls us to live by. As Colossians 3:12-17 reminds us: "And whatever you do, whether in word or deed, do it all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through him." Today I learned that after 18 years of lovingly caring for patients, Laura resigned because of issues related to pay and treatment. Laura had a gift -- she could turn my grandmother's saddest and most difficult days into moments filled with smiles, laughter, and peace. That kind of compassion cannot be taught, and it certainly should not be undervalued. This service is funded by the Archdiocese, yet the way loyal employees are treated does not reflect the core values the organization claims to uphold. I am now seriously reevaluating whether to continue with this hospice company and considering moving my grandmother to another organization where employees are treated not as numbers, but as human beings who deserve care, respect, and dignity. Because if compassion and love are not practiced within the company itself, how can they truly be passed on to the patients and families they serve? I was adamant about certain things that I repeated multiple times to multiple people 1st being our animals the types and I would not lock them up not only did they not inform the nurse but they sent a nurse highly allergic but I will say she was the only good part of my entire experience she stayed on like a champ and helped me through the passing of my husband. To top it all of I pick up thw death certificate and the vitas physician who never saw my husband wrote the wrong cause of death is have made 2 phone calls spoke to managers who said I would have a call back first thing Monday morning and it is now Monday evening and still not a word...I am so disgusted by this...cant imagine how their charting is for the living patients when they cant even get a simple death certificate correct nor have the decency to call me back. After 7 1/2 months of watching my husband fight stage 4 lung cancer and his last 10 hours at home I had to fight with these people and now still fighting because they are incompetent. Continuum Care Of Broward serviced my mother in law for the last couple of weeks. From the…read morebeginning their service was lax, we had to pay for the ambulance transfer initially since my mother in law is bed bound. The HHA care was acceptable, the nurse care met and exceeded expectations, the problem was when my mother in law got a UTI. My mother in law became very lethargic, and would not swallow the antibiotics, I had to send her to the hospital, something that was a no-no to Continuum, they would not allow the hospital to give her intravenous antibiotic. They threatened not to take her back, they would have rather have her die of a simple UTI. Beware of this company.
