I am so happy that the stars aligned when it was time to start daycare in the beginning of 2023. After calling for their availability, I felt an instant connection with Lynn. At that time, she had other families on her waitlist. It wasn't until a couple weeks later, I followed up to see if anything had changed. Fortunately, a spot had opened and we couldn't have envisioned any other place for our 3yo son. Lynn and Francis are a dynamic duo. They care so much for our kids, shower them with love, and really do treat them like their own. The kids are taught to be independent, be respectful, manners, and how to regulate their emotions, safely. I love how they were so patient our little one and encouraged him with positive reinforcement. My favorite thing to ask him after 'school' was what he ate for lunch and hearing all the cute and silly nicknames of his friends. Their preschool curriculum is also great! Our son learned how to write his ABC's and numbers and name the first year (we hadn't started any workbooks at the time). His writing and penmanship is so neat, compared to his older sibling. Speaking of neat, I love how kids come home looking as good, or better, than when they were dropped off! My son has long hair, and love that Francie and him have 1:1 time when she redoes it after a fun filled day. I can't say enough great things about Lynn and Brighter Beginnings. She's got it down! Brighter Beginnings was such a blessing to our family! Lynn came highly recommended from several friends and once we had an opportunity to gain a spot in her daycare we could see why. Her love and dedication to each of the kids is present every day. My son started with her when he was one and was there till he was over 5. In the midst of the pandemic I was full of anxiety trying to find a daycare for my daughter (1.5 years old at the time). We visited several different daycares and even tried one out that wasn't a fit. We were looking for a place where our children would be safe and loved. Not only does Lynn have years of incredible experience, she truly loves and adores kids. Lynn was very reassuring during the transition period where our daughter was adjusting and let us know exactly what to expect when children first start out at any new daycare at her age. After about 2-3 weeks just as she said, our daughter was very excited to come every morning. Children are showered with love and attention while learning independence. Our daughter was fully potty trained here when she turned 2. She has started her preschool curriculum which she is so excited about. They have park days on Fridays and water play days during the summer which my daughter absolutely loves. Brighter beginnings daycare has been a blessing to our family and we thank God for finding Lynn and this wonderful home. We have been sending our daughter here since she was 1.5 years old and she is now 3. Our son also comes here, he just turned 1. They are both so excited every morning to come to Lynnie's. Lynn is so amazing. My daughter has officially been going here for a week! And it was a big transition foe my daughter to start a new daycare. Our family has been so blessed to have found Brighter Beginnings Daycare 2.5 years ago. We enrolled my son when he was 1.5 yo, he is now 4 and since then, we also enrolled my baby girl 6 months ago when I had to return to work. Since the beginning, Lynn has been great. As a mom, I was anxious about leaving my child(ren), but from the initial meeting (us interviewing each other, touring her home) she answered all my questions and put my concerns to rest. She is always so sweet, her passion for teaching and caring for children comes across in her loving interactions (not to mention the 25+ years of running her daycare from her home). She treats the children like an extension of her family, teaches them respect, manners, how to have fun, while still teaching them their academic fundamentals. She has supported us and provided suggestions, tips and guidance through the different stages (and challenges :) of parenting (potty training, behavior issues, development milestones), and is always attentive to our needs as parents. We feel like we have someone on our team when it comes to raising our kids. Francis, her assistant, and Heather, her daughter, are also fabulous. They are always so friendly! Lynn is great about communicating and keeps you informed of closures, vacations, field trips, etc. Her rates are very reasonable, but the piece of mind you get knowing your kids are in good hands is priceless! We are moving away from the area soon and I have to admit, one of the hardest things for us in this process is to leave Lynn. We will miss her and the BBD family dearly. (but plan to stay in touch) The upside to this is our departure may provide a great opportunity for a new child(ren) to become a new member of the BBD family. I wished we had found Brighter Beginnings in the El Tract much sooner. We love them! She was exactly who our daughter needed in the nick of time. Our daughter thrived under her care. I did my homework when researching daycares in our area. My top 3 concerns included needing a nurturing, educational, and clean enviornment for my children. Of course there are many other excellent attributes to Brighter Beginnings here are just a few: she LOVES them all (doesn't have favorites), she's super organized, she listens to your parental concerns, she holds the parents accountable, and she keeps learning entertaining. My experience is strictly with inquiring about care for our son. Lynn was pleasant when she contacted me, however her attitude about our son eating his own food is what worries me. I cook all his meals as he eats a primary gluten feee diet as celiac runs in our family. I advised her that we would cook similar meals to what they are providing, as we have been doing at his current care. Her advise was to find a small home daycare. The food program pays daycares for feeding the children, and unfortunately they wouldn't make this money on us. My son doesn't beg for other food, and I was honest and said if he has birthday cake with kids, we don't freak out... we are minimizing the risk of future allergies due t family history. It's a feeling of being discriminated against for medical reasons. read more

So I'm 7 years behind on writing a review for the most awesome daycare I have entrusted my precious children to be cared for while working full time. My apologies...1st time on Yelp, but very excited to share my experience. After 3 local daycare interviews I found online, my last stop was a definite blessing. I loved that my first impression of Lynn and her home put me at ease knowing my son will be in great hands. Not only it was affordable, but the educational curriculum and meals would be taken cared of. Lynn was always informative of his behavior during the day and the manners being taught had also trickled down to my daughter when she finally joined Brighter beginnings. We have now been apart of the Brighter Beginnings family for almost 7 years. I could not have found a better environment for my family. Brighter Beginnings is the 2nd home for my children and sounding board for my husband and myself. Lynn loves our children and cares for them like they were her own. My wife and I were in the position of many families these days. We both work and due to our schedules we needed to find a daycare for our son.
