Epic failure on my part. Carefully consider whether you want to hire this company. It is with great…read moretrepidation and uncertainty that one embarks on a search for a roofer. The costs are high, the work is challenging and the end results are unknown. So due diligence is paramount in this quest. As it turns out, I put in the work, took several bids and made my choice. I went with Tadlock Roofing and while the result in the end was satisfactory, I can't help but think I might have done much better. I will cover the good first and then the bad. The good. The sales person was very personable, her manager was very knowledgeable and I felt at ease and comfortable. All my questions were answered and I felt confident that I could go forward with enough information to compare their product to others and make a reliable decision. The product was of good quality and promised to last a great many years. The Mexican installation crew were focused, speedy, professional, jovial and detail oriented. They worked carefully in order to limit any surrounding damage to plants and property. The post work clean up was encouraging since the ground was covered in debris and nails and I have grandkids who play out there. They were meticulous in their efforts to leave the yard safe and clean. Now, the less positive aspects. Those friendly faces that promised to be with you every step of the way, did a vanishing act. The half dozen or more documents you are forced to sign that release Tadlock of any responsibility should ANY damage be done to the home or surrounding area felt downright menacing and impart a feeling of helpless doom. A huge laundry list of things for which they would take no responsibility, a virtual cornicopia of small print to indemnify themselves was extremely worrisome. Shingle delivery workers who ignored my many many requests to spread the shingles weight on my roof for safety, downright aloof and nasty was their attitude. The delays in schedule were abundant. Leaving the heavy shingles on the roof an extra week. They left the roofing plywood on the ground in the yard to get wet from the rain for nearly a week. A dumpster sitting in the driveway an extra day. The gutter work was not even scheduled until the roof was completed for more than a week and then days went by without any contact or word regarding the installation. And remembrr those smiling faces promising to be with you every step of the way, still missing. Found out later that Mr. Tadlock sold his business to a national company that fired about 80 employees in our state and closed one or more locations. The girl who came to our house in the beginning was gone. The manager now splitting time between Tampa and Sarasota. It's all downhill from here, with all the cost cutting the company is making, the skeleton crew that is left, it would be wise to consider carefully whether you want to hire this once great company. To be fair, in the end over 2 months later I did have a new roof and gutters. It was quality product and MY installation crew was awesome. Viva Mexico. There are several crews however, you have to make sure you get a good one.

We were very happy with Walsh Roofing services. They did a wonderful job on our roof replacement…read moreand customer service was excellent from start to finish. Trey arrived to my home at the allotted appointment time with an estimate and explained every layer that would be applied, why they are better than some of their competitors, and the 3 plans they offer. We selected the middle plan as it fit our budget the best and still had some of the bells and whistles from plan C. Trey was very helpful with selecting the color and sent me photos of homes they had completed. Something that makes Walsh standout compared to other companies that came to give an estimate is that they work with many different brands of shingles and they recommend which ones work best for you and your environmental situation. We chose Majestic Shake by Pinnacle Pristine. The colors worked perfectly with our home and the stone accents. The job itself was completed in 2 days. They used a dump truck on wheels so we had no damage to our driveway. Clean up was done very well, minus the fact that the crew forgot to tarp our pool and we had some cleaning up to do in the pool. Derek, who came for final clean up and to collect payment, was very apologetic when I mentioned the issue with the pool and provided a reasonable solution. Overall, we'll definitely be recommending Walsh Roofing to anyone we know looking to get a new roof. We had heavy rain for 2 days straight after the roof was installed and so far so good!!

A representative from the company privately told me that there was no foreman on site at the time of this particular roof installation and it was done improperly. The owner agreed to replace the roof at no additional cost to me and included a silicone sealant as a layer of protection. It has continued to leak every few months in new locations. The owner refuses to acknowledge WHY a brand new roof continues to leak, yet makes excuses that it was due to hurricane damage (there was little rain during the recent hurricanes and no trees lie above this particular roof to cause damage). I hate leaving bad reviews for locally owned companies but I have to warn others about this…read morecompany...they get 2 stars for getting the mold off my roof but took away 3 stars because they didn't take care of the vegetation and shrubs as promised on their website. The bleach solution they used got all over my potted plants and shrubs, killing them and will now have to spend extra money to have large shrubs removed. I did let the owner know as his crew only covered 2 bushes and allowed the bleach solution to get on other bushes and my potted plants and within 3 days after the roof wash, these plants were shriveled up and dead. I haven't heard back from him as to how he will compensate or remedy this damage but I do not recommend them as they promise more than they provide. Even my recycling trash can and a Halloween decoration got bleach on them, fading the decoration and etched the top of the recycling can. It's unbelievable this happened as you'd think they are used to doing this all the time and take care of outside shrubs and plants as promised. Had I known they wouldn't cover my plants, I would've brought them inside and covered the shrubs myself.
