A representative from 1st Choice Roofing came to our home on July 25 and assured us that we would receive an estimate by Tuesday, July 29. Tuesday came and went--no estimate, no communication. I followed up via email yesterday and only then did I receive a response with an excuse: apparently, their workmen "did not feel comfortable" working on our third-story roof. They're roofers--how is a multi-story home a surprise? Why bother coming out if they weren't prepared or qualified to do the job in the first place? This felt like a waste of our time and an unprofessional way to handle customer service. If you're looking for reliability and follow-through, I suggest looking elsewhere. read more

Waited a year to do the review wanted to make sure everything was great!!! They did a new roof for a property we owned and we had a great experience from Tom coming to our home and going over our options and pricing. To the crew coming out and doing amazing work they used what Tom called a catch all system and they left no mess or nails anywhere the nets seemed to work great!!! After the job was done even heard from a guy named Ken to follow up with us on how the process went. A year later and no issues at all!! I had my roof done in March 2024.Everything was fine till it started raining everyday...They did come back reasonably fast to fix a couple of shingles. But my ceiling is ruined with water spots. Danny said they would have my ceiling painted.This was back in July! I have called Courtney a couple of times, says my folder is on her desk. the last time I called after the hurricanes she said those damaged roofs were their priority.I get that..Now the year changed, without one phone call from them! Ever...Don't hire this company! I have been more than patient, Maybe this will get their attention! My neighbor asked me last week which company I used...I told him and told him NOT to call them..ONce you give them your money I guess they are done with you, no way to do business. I am not sure why they have a lot of 5 star reviews , what is more important than installation is after service, in this case we lost our insurance because of them , they did not want to come and check the roof and fix it after I called many times to tell them that will lose our insurance if they don't come and fix the problem that we had ( they said by looking at picture that there is no problem), instead they sent en mail to insurance saying , no this is good , no need to fix anything. We all know how hard it is to obtain insurance at an affordable price in Florida. Every time I call , the owner is in a meeting , they did not want to fulfill their warranty which is good for 10 years. Filed a complaint with BBB and will file complaint with Florida department of business to see if we can hold them to the contract read more

This company refuses to honor a 10 year warranty on a roof which they installed, they refuse to send someone to check an issue with the roof, so I do not recommend them to do any work in your property. read more

I found 1st Choice Roofing from a preferred contractor list through the MySafeFL program. From the salesman to communication with the office throughout the job, A+++ has been earned! The workers were professional and friendly. Workmanship was superb. There was a supervisor on the site most all of the time. They even corrected the pool cage roof tie-in to fix a leak. All of the paperwork was filed quickly and they even provided all of the documentation for testing requirements and wind resistance. Although price was not a major factor for me, their quotes were very competitive and I don't think I could have done better! Thank you First Choice Roofing. Value ** today is 4/7 and still no contact*** In July of 2019 we had a full roof replacement done by 1st Choice Roofing on our flat roof . About 6 months later we called and requested someone come out and examine the roof because of large amounts of water ponding on the roof. A 1st Choice Roofing tech came out and assured us the roof was totally fine and nothing to be concerned about. We called about this complaint well within our warranty period and 1st Choice has record of us calling and them coming out. We recently accepted an offer to sell out home. A home inspector failed the roof that was replaced by 1st Choice. Per the inspector the roof shows severe deterioration caused by water ponding. We had a 3rd party licensed roofing company in Pasco county come out and give an opinion. They agreed completely that this roof is beyond repair and needs a full replacement. They also agreed the damage was caused by the ponding of water . Both inspector and other roofer agreed this roof was never sloped properly and it is not level. We called 1st Choice on 3/31 and spoke to Courtney. She scheduled an appointment for someone to come out on Wednesday 4/5. I said great but I need a call back from an owner/supervisor. This roof is stopping the sale of my home and I have 2 professional opinions that this roof was poorly done . I stressed I need this matter resolved quickly because the sale of my home in pending on this roof . I did not receive a call back on 3/31. I called again 4/3 and asked for a call back and did not receive a call. I called again on 4/4 and did not receive a call back from an owner or supervision. On 4/5 a tech named Ryan came out to inspect. He stated he had several concerns and would pass the info on to Tom and we would get a call back that day. We did not receive a call. Today is 4/6 and I have called several times and left several messages and have yet to speak to anyone in charge concerning the poor quality of this roof replacement and how 1st Choice plans to fix this situation. We paid $3900 for a new flat roof in 2019 . It looks like we will be paying for a brand new again in 2023 because 1st Choice has yet to offer us a solution on the poor quality work that was done in 2019. I cannot stress enough to find yourself a different roofing company. read more

I would never hire this roofing company again in my life. Within two years of installing our new roof, the shingles started falling off and then the shingles turned black. That was seven years ago and we're still fighting them. I called the owner several times over the years and he's never called me back. He always has someone that works for him to call me back. What a major disappointment. Don't waste your time. Trying to get my aged Grandmother's roof repaired from my out of state location. Checked on Yelp for reviews and recommendations. Decided to use 1st Choice for one of my three estimates based on their reviews and ratings. Started out okay with good communications, but then rapidly deteriorated. Took several calls to reconnect after the initial contact and attempt to get someone out for an estimate. After the estimate was done (by Mike) I was given a verbal quote. I requested a written estimate from the office for my records, protection and estimate comparison. It never arrived, so I made additional calls to request that it be emailed. When the call was finally returned, it appeared the office (Kristin) didn't even know who I was or have any information regarding our previous contacts. At first she even denied that they had done the estimate. After being presented with some "specifics" from my notes she decided to consult with someone else (Mike?). Upon return to the phone she confirmed someone had done an estimate but denied they had ever given me a verbal quote for repairs. Said that they would not repair the roof and that I should only replace it. Told them that I felt it was my decision and that I would be making it based on numerous factors. I asked them to just send me the verbal quote as a written quote for both repair and replace. They refused ... I hung up. What a waste of my time. I hired 1st Choice Roofing after getting bids from 5 different companies. Their quote and timeline worked out best for me so I choose them. They did everything that they promised to do and were very professional. They showed up on time, completed the work on time and they kept they yard cleaned up. The roof looks great!
