While I admit the half priced sushi definitely played into my enjoyment of all of them, I do think they were quite remarkable for a tiny mountain town. Crowsnest Pass isn't exactly synonymous with sushi. While surely Vancouverites would eat this place alive, I'd have to say that this is pretty damn great for us prairie and mountain folk. I ordered some salmon sashimi, but I'm not sure I would again. The fish was very clean tasting, however it was quite thin cut and lacking in flavour and softness. That said, I just ate sake in the middle of the mountains and survived.
