All of the teachers (including assistant teachers and outdoor teacher) are trained with AMI (Association Montessori Internationale), which is hard to find. Teachers are supportive and caring. They offer parent workshops and provide handouts to families in order for us to understand Montessori and children's needs. I hope other families could experience what our children gained from SJMS. Thank you to all of the staff for taking great care of our children. We will never forget this experience.

We looked at many preschools, but none of them felt quite right until we toured SJMS. The staff is extremely conscientious, engaged, and dedicated to the children. While many schools claim to be Montessori, many don't actually adhere to the principles very closely. SJMS is a true Montessori school, taking the time to not only practice the Montessori method but also to educate parents about the method. The school is small, just two classrooms with two dedicated teachers in each classroom, so the student-teacher ratio is quite good. If you're looking for a Montessori school that prioritizes the experience of your child, look no further.

The teachers are very caring, generally speaking. If you're not Asian, you may be put off by the cultural piece. We know a couple of kindergarten girls who had a hard time adjusting to how strict the teachers were. While they are strict, they are also very loving and caring. Miss Jerri, the Director, is incredible. She truly cares about each kid that walks into that school. She honestly transforms this place every single holiday. When you are working parent, you don't have the time to decorate your house, so the magic is not really as alive as it could be. At Little Tree, it almost feels magical. For Thanksgiving, for instance, they host a feast for the kids. They also take photos of your kiddos, and send them to the parents during holidays. We had a couple of behavioral issues coming up, probably because the ratio of adult to kid isn't the best, but they were addressed immediately and with good communication. Our daughter does not speak Mandarin at home, but other people think that she is bilingual, based on how well she has learned Mandarin. She even did a solo during the performance! I highly recommend this place. We wish they could offer a pick up service from Oster, but they do offer a pick up service if your school is in the Campbell area. We are moving away, so are devastated that we won't continue at Little Tree, but highly recommend it to anyone looking for a mandarin afterschool program!

Throughout our years there we have been able to work closely with a majority of the primary teachers -and they are all amazing. Attentive, warm, thoughtful, patient, kind-they encompass all of the traits that I believe are important for teachers to possess. Both of my children have different personalities, and they were both able to thrive in the primary programs. The school provides a safe and loving environment where they are able to explore their interests, develop friendships, and master early childhood skills (like reading, writing and mathematics). The school fosters and promotes new interests, and they do a wonderful job of teaching the children so much more than just academic subjects. My children have learned about and been exposed to different cultures (their holidays and foods for example), countries, plants and animals and how to take care of their belongings. The school also has a wonderful sense of community-they offer multiple events throughout the year where all the families can come together, they host singalong events biweekly where the parents can join, and they make it very easy to be involved with the school as much (or as little) as you like. If I ever have a question or concern the teachers/head of the school/staff in general have always made me feel heard, and like my opinion is important. My entire family has benefited from our time at Casa (in more ways than one), if you are considering a Montessori education or looking for a primary program then I highly recommend visiting this school.

Aloha Montessori is a gem…read more I would like to start by pointing out that this preschool offers something no other preschool I know of does - weekly swim lessons with trained staff members at Maki Swim, which has been a neighborhood institution for years. The children eagerly running in at drop off and being sad to leave is a testament in itself. My son is enrolled 3 days a week and the days he's not at school, he asks to be. The outdoor play area is beautiful and full of fun activities, I love how all of said activity centers and structures (teepee, playhouse, swings and many more) are set up with the intention to promote team work, sharing and inclusive games. The area is very green and they are working on a school garden come the warmer months. The kids absolutely love outside time - which they get plenty of! Inside - the cosy, newly remodeled classroom holds heaps of Montessori activities, puzzles, sorters, toys, books and everything the kids could ever want or need. It's set up as a home with all the conveniences and comforts, which instantly puts the kids at ease and makes them feel very safe and welcome. Ms Maggie makes each school day an adventure. She ensures that while the activities are child-led, they are also structured, developmental but fun and hands-on throughout the day, be it indoor or outdoor. Aloha Montessori lives up to its name - children learn kindness, sharing, inclusiveness but also assertiveness, problem solving and critical thinking and are encouraged to be independent under the watchful eye of Ms Maggie, who has been working with children for over 35 years and the moment you meet her, you realize she's personally invested in each and every single child she has worked with, continues to work with and has yet to work with in the future. Last but not least - the location, 'Aloha' is conveniently located a stone's throw from downtown Campbell, which makes running errands and getting shopping done after drop-off a breeze.

Ms. Jas, Ms. Yuen, Ms. Lori, Ms. Janet, and Ms. Edith have all been incredibly patient, supportive, and intentional in helping my daughter grow. She started off quite resistant, but they helped her feel comfortable, safe, and truly at home in the classroom. A special thank you to Ms. Jas and Ms. Yuen, who have put so much effort into nurturing her interest in desk work and helping her develop positive classroom behavior in the Montessori style. I genuinely appreciate the environment they've created--one where I feel completely confident leaving my daughter each day. I also really appreciate the strong security measures in place, including the two code-locked entry doors before entering the school. When my in-laws have picked up my daughter, staff have always checked their ID cards and matched them to her authorized pickup list before releasing her, which gives me great peace of mind. She now runs in with big hugs every end of day, which says everything about the loving relationships she's built with her teachers.

They were so loving and kind towards our daughter. Even now that she's moved up to the preschool classroom, she finds them to say bye to at the end of the day. Ms. I-Ling is her teacher now and we love her too! Our daughter is excited to go to preschool. She has learned a ton and I feel she will be ready for kindergarten next year. Ms. Mei, the director, is great and communicative with parents. I love the special events the kids do, like Parents Day performance and Lunar New Year celebrations. The school also offers extra curriculars, like tennis and dance class. These are a separate fee but are paid directly to the class provider and offer kids a chance to try something new while at school. We will be sending our six month old daughter here soon as well.
