The washer & dryer I had purchased for my rental property were barely out of warranty when my tenant reported the washer not draining correctly & making a loud noise. At first I thought it might not still be leveled. But the video she sent was definitely not a sound that spoke to that being the problem. So I placed a trouble call with the Lowe's Protection Plan, their self administered extended warranty plan. I received a notification that the company assigned to my repair was Coastal Home Services Appliance Repair. The subcontractor was very responsive via text, my preferred method of communication. A day was chosen when my tenant would be home. The window of arrival could be obtained by calling or texting early on the repair date. My fear was that it was the drum. That would have required a parts order & return call. The other concern I had was that my tenant had washed a heavy comforter, not knowing it could damage the drum. I received a text when the technician was on his way. He arrived & completed the repair well within the window. It didn't require the drum but screws & bolts that has been connected & were stripped, which confirmed my thoughts that too heavy loads had been washed. It was a job well done Coastal Home Services Appliance Repair. It was also a validation of my choice of always purchasing the Extended Warranty for Appliances & higher priced Television purchases. The cost of the plans is always a great value compared to the cost of a repair.

Coastal Home Repair was assigned through Electrolux warranty service to repair my washing machine…read moreafter it developed a leak that flooded my laundry room. The technician diagnosed a faulty part and completed the repair. However, immediately after the repair, the machine began making a very loud noise that had not been present before service. I reported the issue the same day and sent video documentation. I wasn't asking for anything beyond a follow-up inspection of the machine they had just serviced, since the issue appeared immediately after their visit. Instead, I was told I would need to contact Electrolux again or pay for another service call. I later learned from Electrolux that the follow-up request had been rejected and the original service ticket was closed without a report being submitted, which prevented proper review of what had happened during the repair. Because the company refused to come back and inspect the machine, I ultimately had to hire another technician at my own expense after being without a working washing machine for nearly a month. Communication throughout the process was also difficult, with appointment windows set as 8am-5pm and very limited ability to narrow down timing, which made coordination challenging during an already stressful situation. I understand appliance repairs can sometimes involve more than one issue, but I was disappointed by the lack of follow-up support after a clear and immediate post-repair problem developed.
