We were preparing to smash everything and higher a massive dumpster, which would have cost us hours and thousands of dollars. Found Lori here and she answered my call and came the next day to check everything out. We were in a gated community so it made selling more difficult, but happily took us on. While it was not a traditional estate sell, she used all of her contacts to stop by and priced everything. She made sure only trusted people came into our house, waited at the gate to make sure they were okay, and made sure to negotiate all of the prices for us. Not only is she well connected in the community, but Lori is extremely understanding. She is happy to work as quickly or as slowly as you need and so helpful with parents who are not as happy to see her coming. With my mother not being as understanding of the process, Lori was open and there with anything we needed. She accommodated the odd hours we worked and having to make sure she was not in the house during certain time periods. We tried to sell a few things on Facebook Marketplace and it was a nightmare, Lori had someone who took a bulk of our things for one price and helped to haul out trash as well. She truly has a person for everything and had no hesitation in calling them same day and getting someone out in less than an hour. Every time that I had questions about the smallest things, I received an immediate call from Lori. No matter what time of day she was always on top of it and happy to connect with you. Finding someone to work through a tough HOA community and with heavy furniture, I was super nervous that no one would take us on. I could not have been able to tackle moving my aging mother had I not had Lori and Michelle and I cannot say enough good things about the two of them. I was given an estimate of 3-4 hours, and expected a price of no more than $800. It came in around $1600. Granted, the estimate was sight unseen. But it was a fairly normal 3-bedroom. With a dining table, king-sized bed (that I disassembled), queen sized couch that folds out into a bed, various dressers and so on. The factor of 2 mismatch was a very unpleasant surprise for me.

This is one of the most unprofessional companies I have encountered in a long while. I shop estate…read moresales not only in California but all around the country. I attended one of this company's sales today in Belmont Shore. They listed a start time of 8am. As we do, most of the professional resellers were there before sunrise to put names on the list. This list was supposed to be out at 6am. This is done to have first purchase opportunity for desirable inventory. No one from this company arrived up until about 6:45. Fortunately the early birds collectively agreed to start a list of our own, which the company did agree to honor. They said that they do not start their sales until 9am and that their ad for the sale was incorrect. They said they needed time to set up before they opened the doors. This frankly should have only taken 10 or 15 minutes had they properly prepped this sale prior to the opening of the sale. They were not overly apologetic, just matter of fact about this oversight. This is a disrespectful of their shoppers time. I understand their first priority is to the client. However, they would do a better job for their client if they were organized, on time, and prepared with some idea and knowledge of pricing. They have you bundle your items then give you a "bundle" price. The "bundle" price model is fine if the price is fair to both parties. The "bundle" price should not be higher than retail pricing. I saw so many people leave things behind because the prices quoted were not fair market value. This is a disservice to their client. Had they priced fairly on day one, they would likely have moved more inventory rather then having to subsequently discount it well below fair market value on the subsequent sales days. Again - not good for their client. Also worth mentioning is they let one of their regular shoppers in about 10 minutes early before the sale started to shop. I understand companies rewarding their most loyal customers by letting them shop presale. But arrange to do that the day prior, not the morning of the sale when others arrived significantly earlier than their VIP customer. I guarantee you that their VIP did not pay up for the items she was allowed to purchase before the sale opened. Not fair to the customers who arrived earlier than this customer, or more importantly to the client. There are literally a million estate sales companies out there. If you are searching for a company to host your estate sale - you'd probably be better served by contracting with a more professional company that understands appraisal and how to balance and maximize the sales experience for both the client and the shopper.

They just kept finding things I didn't know she had or hadn't seen in decades. I waited probably far too long to do this which did make it easier, but it was still a bit emotional and they handled everything with care and professionalism. Their communication was great. How they got through everything and set it up for the sale and advertised was great as well!
