Today I spoke with one of the employees and in a 15 second conversation she told me there was a waiting list and my child wouldn't be able to be registered for a least a year. I explained to her I tried to call over several days and her response was "oh sorry," in a sarcastic and careless way. I really wish I would've known this. Their website is very dated and gives no information about waiting lists. I guess I was supposed to assume this. On top of that there is no easy way to find out this information but by trying to contact them via phone or email. I'm just extremely disappointed with my interaction with this daycare.

These people have taken preschool and perfected it to a science. The teachers are wonderful with the kids, the facility is clean and safe, the activities are amazing and my son actually enjoys going. Cadence called us back quickly and recognized the difficult spot we were in and were able to provide a part-time spot . They provided such a warm, caring and safe environment. It was clear from the moment we toured, that the teachers had a tremendous amount of love for the kids in their care. Had we not committed to another school for the year - we would have been 100% comfortable keeping him at Cadence. At drop-off and pickup it felt like we had been a member of their community for longer than just a few weeks. He always came home excited and looked forward to arriving. He started his new school yesterday and his teachers said he had an amazing day. He listened, was polite and shared with others. He even shared stories about his friends and teachers from Cadence with the new staff. Their team was an essential part of helping him and setting him up for success. In addition to the amazing employees and the beautiful and bright space, this is a quick list of what I love so much about A Child's University: *It is accredited - It is extremely difficult to achieve and maintain academic accreditation.  It shows in all levels of the education. Yes, even my 11 month old had a daily curriculum they follow including themes, art projects, science, math, and health/motor skills. *Daily art projects.  Yep, even in the baby room, they do art! *They exceed the state's teacher ratio standards by staffing more educators in each room than the state requires.  Full time educators have their degree. *It's clean.   *They play music entering and leaving the building, and in the baby room. *They use an app that sends push notifications so I know the minute my son goes down for a nap, has a wet diaper, and how much of his lunch he ate (or threw on the floor as the case may be). *They send several pictures daily and have a live stream camera. *They have a nurse on staff daily. *The staff is so loved, and in return they shower our babies with love.  It makes me smile to see all of the love notes and gifts that the teachers received.

You worry about whether your baby will like the caretaker...whether s/he will like them more than you...whether they will care for your baby as well as you could...and whether they will be kind enough to not tell you that they witnessed your baby's first word/crawl/gurgle/etc. If you're also in tune to the importance of early childhood education, you likely also want to know whether they follow the standards for care and that they are fostering your child's social, emotional, and educational learning and expanding your baby's gross motor skills. Whew. It's exhausting, thinking about all those things...and, as a new parent, I thought of all those and more when trying to decide where to enroll our daughter. A Child's University was seriously one of, if not the, best place we could imagine. Each and every day, she loves going to 'school'. I also love that she can grow there and maintain continuity, as the school goes up until Kindergarten. I have full confidence that she will develop mentally, socially, and emotionally under their watch. They do wonderful craft projects, even with the teensy babies, and every time I pick her up she is happily playing with the various toys or other children - always with one or more of the teachers sitting watchfully. All of this allows you, the parent, to feel good about the fact that your child is engaged all day long. And, while they do have a ton of rules and protocols to follow, I know all are done with safety in mind. The teachers are outstanding. I am not joking when I say that a primary concern of mine is whether they will be sensitive to the conflicting emotion caused by leaving your baby with another caretaker. For that kindness, and for the kindness they show to my daughter each and every day, they get an A+ in my book.

I had my child in this school throughout the summer program and I was appalled that they call this…read more3 ring circus a daycare center. The baby room had a mildew smell in it on the humid days. I washed my hands in the sink in the main room and all I smelt was sewer smell. I asked to speak to the director and I was told that she is hardly here anymore. The floors are always sticky and dirty. I always seen dead bugs scattered about the floor. My child said they aren't made to brush their teeth but I was told in the beginning they would be. The playground wasn't any better the toys were old and broken and faded from the sun there was cat poop in the sand box on numerous occasions. I think the outdoor toys are out dated and dangerous. I could not believe the amount of bees flying around the playground where the kids play I had to pull my child before she got stung from a bee because she's highly allergic. I will never tell anyone anything good about this daycare and I would recommend visiting one of the other 4 daycares just down the street.
